Why is it they ever only manage to "lose" the relevant bits? It's never the interoffice football pool e-mail or the dancing baby YouTube links. As noted earlier there is no way these were "lost". The guys running that network would be fired instantly if it were so and just not going to happen at that level.

This is a disgraceful and disgusting ruling. The Bush White House has been so deceitful and so secretive its entire tenure, I am certain they have deliberately and routinely destroyed documents and erased millions of emails. I surely hope this ruling will be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court! This White House arrogantly forgets that WE pay THEIR salaries. They also think they have the right to read OUR emails and listen in on OUR phone calls. If that is so, then WE, the PEOPLE, have EVERY RIGHT to KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY'VE BEEN DOING with our tax dollars!!!!!

Emails do not get "lost". In most cases, "lost" data can be retrived directly from the disk drive. And in any network as large and secure as in the US government, there are several backups on data storage in the event anything does get wiped out on a server. I am so ashamed of my government!

Just wait until Obama takes office and then we will finally get hold of those emails. Because a person cannot completely destroy an email since they are still on the hard drive. All it would take is to get an computer expert to hack into the computers hard drive and retrieve all those deleted emails. Judge Colleen Kotelly is just another RIght Wing Bush appointee that instead of making the White House turn the emails over, she decides to defend the redneck from Crawford Texas.

That is news to me. E-mails they don't get loss neither does armed forces records. Everybody backups their computer system everyday private companies and gov. Also those records get archive and store in permanent vault and kept there for life or until they are needed.

Why is it that only the white house e-mails get loss and Bush armed forces records?.

WHY was an under cover CIA operative hiring her husband for a public mission? Of course she would be known at that point because it would be in the public record.
