Second President Bush floats prospect of a third

Jeb Bush has long been considered a likely presidential candidate.
Jeb Bush has long been considered a likely presidential candidate.

(CNN) – For only the second time in nearly three decades, there won’t be a Bush on the presidential ballot this November. But that absence may not be a permanent one, the current White House occupants hinted Sunday.

President Bush was asked by a SkyNews correspondent whether the end of his term marked the end of the Bush presidential dynasty that began with his father’s Oval Office tenure 20 years ago.

In response, Bush singled out his brother, who has often been mentioned as a possible Republican presidential contender. "Well, we've got another one out there who did a fabulous job as governor of Florida, and that's Jeb,” he said. “But you know, you better ask him whether or not he's thinking of running. But he'd be a great president."

There had been wide speculation in 2000 that Jeb Bush would enter the Republican primary race that was won by his brother.

During the SkyNews interview, first lady Laura Bush added that public service was an "unbelievable” life.

"One of the reasons George and his brother, Jeb, served in office is because they admired their father [Presient George H.W. Bush] so much," she said.

Asked whether that meant her husband was not “the last Bush," she responded: “Well, who knows. We'll see."

Figures...I knew he would circle around the wagons and wait in hiding for a THIRD Bush President. They should create new laws to prevent husband/wife or father/son/brother dynasties from dominating the White House or Primary Elections.

This is getting ridiculous...people are sick and tired of the Clintons and Bush's.

  9. Mccain says it's tough to be proud of America

What is this double standard about? Why am I not hearing anyone mention that Mccain said it was tough to be proud of America only 2 days ago. In a town meeting on saturday, June 14, Mccain said it was tough to be proud of America while responding to a question.

Isn't that Un-American? Why is no body talking about it? CNN, what is this cover-up about? We all know that if those words had come out of Senator Obama's mouth, there would have been no other report today than that.

Shout it loud. John Mccain says 'it is tough to be proud of America'

You are not fit to be the president of a country that yu find tough to be proud of.

I knew it was coming. With Kennedies and Bushes (Clinton wannabees) USA will soon become a third world country with family fueds and ruling dynasties like India (Gandhi Family), Pakistan (Bhutto Family, Sharif Family), Bangladesh (Mujib Family, Zia Family), Philippine (Marcos Family, Aquino Family) etc.

I hope Obama wins this time and the next time and then a Latino or Jew win in 2016 and put an end to political dynasties.

One Bush was enough, second was not needed, third one should not be talked about.
