I have a few things to say to the republicians out there, 4000+ amer deaths in Iraq, our economy is almost at a stand still, people are losing there jobs and homes at a record pace, gas prices are through the roof, our present admistration is null and void, Sen McCain can talk about nothing but the war, the man still has a hard-on from the Vietnam War, so with all that how can you republicians critical of anything Sen Obama is trying to accomplish. At least he realizes that it's going to take the help of all americians to turn our country around and to get it headed in the right direction.

...before this election year, I did not know Americans couldbe so silly. I think itis really stupid that so many uninformed people feel they are qualified to make decisions about matters that they really don't know anything about. The conversations and the articles are ridiculous. I believe if Mr. Obama was anybody than who he is, this would be a non-issue, folks would shut up and let the man do his job his way. Mr. Obama is not a dumb person, he is quite capable of "handling" his business. He does not need people second guessing how he thinks, what he does or doesn't do. BACK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama supporters should be asking themselves why Obama keeps running from debates. Did it not seem strange to you that he would agree to a debate on July 4th when nobody would be watching. Without a prepared speech or telepromter everyone knows he is just preaching. George Bush lost every debate and looked like an idiot and people still voted for him and now they are ready to make the same mistake again. The man does not have a clue about foreign policy or the economy. His health care plan will not work, because it still leaves us paying for those who don't get it. The facts are 20% of the people that don't have health care make over $75,000 a year.

Before Iowa, Ms. Doyle's critics contended she didn't have the experience necessary to be the person in charge of a presidential campaign.

After Iowa, her critics contended that she didn't have the strong leadership skills necessary to manage the strong personalities of senior campaign advisors.

After Super Tuesday, her critics contended she had failed to anticipate, and hence prepare for, a protracted campaign.

With the benefit of hindsight, I hope we can all agree those criticisms were justified.

But I don't understand how any of this is relevant to her qualifications as Chief of Staff or the Vice President. According to all reports, she is terrific at organizing an office of that size, functioning not as a leader with a public face, but as a loyal facilitator working unseen in the background. None of her failures as head of Senator Clinton's campaign give one any reason to think otherwise.

Remember, she has eight years of experience in that role and her performance was so extraordinarily that the Vice President she served selected her--solely on that basis and moreover with great confidence--for a position few thought she was qualified to handle.

So let's take the question of her competence for THIS position off the table. A reporter might be the best at her job and yet struggle once promoted to editor, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't do a great job if she returned to her previous position as a reporter.

Whatever one thinks of his motivations and whatever the fallout turns out to be, the obvious truth seems to be that Senator Obama selected the best person for the job.

I believe Obama has worked hard to enlighten Americans about a
lot of things. I for one am convinced of his honesty, and his ability
to be our foremost leader. After all the lies and deceptions we as
citizens of this great country have been subjected to over the last
eight years WE all need the changes Mr Obama and his staff will
bring. For all our sakes give the man a chance, Please.
I believe we have the makings of another FDR. Thank God.

I hope that the majority of these "vote for McCain" "loyal to Hillary" comments are from Republican trolls. I would hate to think that anyone would be this nutty over one person who was hired. Big deal - a VP chief of staff! Get over it, for heaven's sake. This is just silly, petty bickering. Let's talk real issues for once. CNN - stop encouraging this nonsense with your ridiculous postings.

If Obama was considering Clinton for VP why would he make this choice? Hmm. The John guy doing the VP search was involved in a scandal, which I am sure the Obama camp was aware of. I sure hope he does right by Hilliary.

This makes no sense whatsoever.

If Hillary cannot beat this young senator, Obama, how would she have been able to run a good campaign against McCain?

Hillary, with her 18 million votes and $109million,
--has the worst baggage than any democrat that has ever ran for the presidency,
--has the highest negative ratings
--lacks the clear judgment in most instances when needed the most!

It has always been my understanding that the "primaries" are not about the individual candidate, but about the party.

For the FIRST time in my adult life (now 50 years plus), I have never seen a candidate that has brought so much divisiveness to a party than Hillary. Is this the way Hillary would have governed?

So many Republicans in Democratic clothing on here. PUMA seems to be a Swift boat group and lead by a "switched to" Republican. I think that means he switched from Republican to Democrat to Republican to try and play on the confusion in the Hillary camp.

Any Real American Democrat that can support McCain isn't a real American Democrat. It just isn't possible. What that means is they are really just caught up in the Hillary swirl and Operation Chaos to think she had a chance. She would be a good candidate if Obama hadn't outcampaigned her in the first few primaries and she had a campaign team that was competent. She got beat. Move on.

Obama vs McCain is a contrast in young vs old, change vs the old way, leadership vs politics. If you liked Bush, you'll love McCain.

No one posting here knows the specific ins and outs of the Clinton campaign, which, according to Clinton's own aides, was beset by dysfunction and infighting. So who knows how good or bad Solis might have been, whether she took the fall for someone else's ego, or what Hillary might think and feel about it by now. I'm guessing that if HRC wants to be VP, and if Obama chooses to offer it to her, she and Solis will be able to be adults, forcryin'outloud.

I will keep this very short and to the point...
IS THERE NOTHING THE PEOPLE IN THE CLINTON EX-CAMPAIGN WON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT ???
This ONE of the main reasons they lost the campaign....
Instead of taking care of their OWN house they are focused and complaining about things out of their control...

NEW FLASH!!!

IT WON"T BE HILLARY!!!

Some of her words and actions in the primaries were UNACCEPTABLE and UNFORGIVEABLE!!!

NUFF SAID!!

It's funny. Everyone who supported Clinton and is now supporting Obama is a traitor. I'd like Clinton Fanatics to answer me this: Since Solis Doyle is a traitor for supporting Obama, as is anyone who once supported Clinton, and now supports Obama, would this not mean that Hillary Clinton is also a traitor for supporting him?

This move at this time makes sense. Do it while the Clinton supporters are so angry that it can't get any worse. It sends the message now that Clinton won't be on the ticket., rather than letting the situation fester for two months and facing a brand new wave of hate come August. Other than coming right out and saying it, which is not realistic, this is the best way of letting the country know that he is a man of his word and really does want to turn the page.

As was suggested by some politicos on talk shows tonight, I totally agree that this move was an insult to both Hillary Clinton and her supporters.

Obama is not doing a great job courting older women. We have dealt with betrayals like this all of our lives, especially in the workplace.

Obama can hire his KENYA GRANDMOTHER, and he still will not win. Obama should go to Kenya and maybe he can get some experience as Kenya's First Home Boy to leave and return as president, after all his Kenya father left home and returned back to his wife he had never divorced prior to marrying Obama's mama. Obama is an empty suit with nothing other than rhectoric to offer. Go back to corrupted Political Chicago. Obama give Alice Parlmer her senate seat that you stole from her on a scam technicality.
hiring seniro staff from another campaign is almost always a way to throw a bone to the other campaign! Seriously! It's one of the points that losing candidates often negotiate over with the victor when they are discussing their withdrawal. This would be especially the case in Solis Doyle's case who the Clinton team felt was unfairly blamed by the media. How either the media's coverage of this or some ranting bloggers can turn this into a slap in the face when it would normally be viewed as just the opposite is simply ridiculous.

Message to Obama...and ALL of his supporters.

You CANNOT win this election without Hillary Clinton. She received more than half the Democratic votes cast in the primaries.

Unless you want to go down in history as a dismal election failure eg. George McGovern, you will select Hillary Clinton as your running mate.

She has earned it, and you will not succeed without her.

I support her, and may still vote for McCain even if she is on the ticket. That is how disliked Obama is among Hillary supporters.

So, suck it up!

We should applaud the Obama camp for making the offer to former Hillary supporters....and like wise if he gave the job to someone else everyone would be saying "How come he is not giving any positions to the former Hillary camp" No matter what is done many of you will complain about it.

Can we stop demanding Clinton to be on the ticket. NO ONE like bullies, and NO ONE has to pick anyone. I don't see Sen. Obama picking Sen. Clinton to satisfy fake Dem. HRC supporters. If you'd ONLY vote for Obama because of Clinton, then you can take your HRC behinds back to the RNC. Real supporters support the FAMILY....

And can we STOP trying to make speculations facts like the gas prices, wars, whether or not Sen. Obama can win being at the top of the ticket, etc. None of these events have happened...think about that elementary fact...

PUMA - NO ONE cares what YOU think!!! That what wrong with PUMA, always thinking that its about them, and what they want...GROW UP

And I agree that Sen Obama WILL find her a place in the campaign. Really Dems welcome ALL TRUE believers

Welcome DOYLE to the TEAM!!!

CHANGE '08 = Obama '08
Continuing Change '16 = Clinton '16*

It seems the Obama camp is forgeting one thing, the White House!!!Bashing Clinton supporters is not helping your candidate but hurting him. You all are underestimating just how we feel...maybe it will take a loss to McCain for this camp to realize just how deep the wounds are. It is one thing to lose fair and square but it is another to be the best qualified candidate and lose. You all are afraid of the Clintons, almost as if it would be too much if Hillary had won and turned the country around once again. Well, go McCain, your stand on the issues does not even matter. I am willing to sacrifice four more years of Bush policies in order to stand for something. It is a small price to pay considering people pay with their lives for something they believe in!!!!!

This decision is very confusing. The reason Hillary lost can be traced all back to her. Why then would he want this lady anywhere near him? Well I guess this could be called change. I still suport Obama though because we can't have four more years of republicans!

To Hillary's 18 million supporters please help Hillary pay off her debt, at least $2 .00 from each of you will go a long way.
The interesting thing is, the Obama you keep insulting everyday is the one who cares so much about Hillary and is will to help pay off her debt.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cindy_Hensley_McCain

To those who choose to give up the few morals they have left to vote for this train wreck, so sad. His own party rejected him and his war record, fact in the 2000 election and now his fellow Senators are rejecting him now some still have not come out in support of him. I'm willing to bet they him and his so called experience alot better than any one on this site....

All those years in the senate what has he done for me over that time (NODA).

And women voters look at what he's offering to take away from women. Are you really that mad. Because Hilliary was beaten by running a weak campaign. Is it Sen. Obama's fault she mis-managed her campaign. She proved she could not manage the country.. She failed the primary test. Let's move forward the country needs you all.

Moderator , Let me try this again.

I hope this isn't an indication that Senator Clinton won't be his VP pick. It would be very disappointing.

Obama knows what he is doingl I trust his judgement, so I'm not worry about his choice. Hiliary voters need to focus on getting Obama to be President or else we are going to find ourselves with John McCain as President. We all know what a nightmare McCain would be as a President.
Most of the negative comments about Presidential nomnee Obama is coming from Republican posing as Hillary supporters. Check this out! If they were really Hillary supporters they would have listened to her when she said I am fully supporting Obama and even thinking about MCbush is totally gravely WRONG!!! Unless otherwise GOP is trying hard to get some of naive voters to think otherwise that some Hillary would think to come to them. Just LOOK AT THE POLL Obama is ahead of MCain-bush. How some real democrats including true Hillary supporters don;'t even think about loose to REPUBLICANS. THIS IS ABOUT WHO IS GOING TO WIN. DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS. I THINK MOST TRUE DEMOCRATS ARE FULLY SUPPORTING OBAMA TO END ANOTHER THIRD TERM OF BUSH. BRING OUR CHILDREN HOME SAFLEY!!!

With Obama in the White House---your scenario will most likely be true....remember....those who hate this country and want to do it harm in anyway possible....took that chance and succeeded with no experience Bush at the realm--first term.
They will do it again with Obama
Let's all pray they don't get another chance---NO OBAMA.

why are people getting so offended by who Obama hires as a vetter? It's not like he's giving these people high government jobs.. he's just asking them to interview potential running mates.

I'll tell you this... if McCain gets elected... I'm seriously going to think about moving out of this country... Canada is sounding better and better. Because the reality is that if any white man ran the same campaign that Obama did.. that man would win this november in a landslide.

And to Brian in Tenn... I was just in Tenn... granted it was only on a layover... and met with a girlfriend of mine out there. I must have heard the 'N' word fly out around me more in one hour than I've heard in California in a whole year. I can see why Tenn will not vote for Obama. And It's sad to say that I'm not proud of a country that still puts so much negativity out based on the color of someone's skin.
