Good, they should. I am tired of rich people using loopholes and then the rest of us have to pay their way. They do the same with taxes. They claim to be the tax cut party but the only ones who ever see any real breaks are their rich buddies. Remember Bush Sr and his famous No New Taxes speech. Well i remember very well how that big fat lie turned out. McCain seems like the same deal to me. He puts out an ad saying he cares about the environment and then promotes offshore drilling. He says he differs from Bush about global warming and yet he was scheduled to go to a fundraiser being thrown by an oil barron. I still don't know if he is just an old senile fool who doesnt realize he is not in control of himself or if he has just turned into a typical lying politician. I am so glad i agree with Barack Obama on almost everything because McSame is driving me nuts.

To whoever says Obama has no experience running anything. . . .
I think he ran his campaign pretty well. As opposed to Hillary who was 20 million in debt and McCain who had to take a loan. . . . .

That did is. The booing of the mention of Hillary's name by his
supporters at his recent speech in Michigan. And I as a democrat
am supposed to stand side-by-side with these haters of my preferred
candidate, Hillary and cheer for theirs? I don't think so. If they can't
put aside their feelings toward my candidate, what makes them
think I can put aside mine for theirs? These people aren't very smart. They will need the great majority of us 18 million Hillary supporters
in November. This adds fule to the fire. I see Obama as being no
better than McCain. I don't care about the DNC or the party. I vote McCain in November.

I am a Democrat, but in my opinion, the DNC lacks credibility and basic support of the broad Democratic spectrum to bring lawsuit against anyone. Until this organization changes leadership and direction, it is doomed to failure and lack of support from the American people. Frankly, if a strong Independent candidate came forth, the election would be all over--neither Obama or McCain could win. The two political parties have put up their worst candidates in years.

It will be hard for the Democrats to call what McCain has done as illegal, if you know anything about the law. And without an FEC quorum, there is little that can be done.

@nick
um, you DO realize that offshore drilling will take YEARS to even produce ANYTHING? So by the time we maybe find the oil that maybe might produce another big environmental disaster on our coasts, we could already be at PEAK oil.

The issue isn't high gas prices -- frankly, those might get you out of your gas-guzzling truck driving - big SUV "identity" vehicles and either driving less or driving more efficient vehicles. I've always wondered about the compensation factor for men compelled to drive big trucks with big wheels... hmmm....

The goal is to REPLACE oil with alternative energy.

Obama’s foreign policy of Appeasment to dictators, Criminal law approach to terrorism, and policy based on UN mandate could make him the Western worlds worst foreign policy leader since the not-so-great Neville Chamberlain.
Obama’s Ecomonic policies of Punishing success and the American capitalist way of life, Tax-Tax-and Tax again the populace to resitribute wealth makes him the greatest proponent of Marxism since Karl himself.
Americans will deserve the catastrophe he brings us if they are ignorant enough to vote him. The only real positive being that he would be removed from the state of Illinois (where I live) which will hopefully limit the local damage he has wreaked upon our economy as a state legislator and now US Senator.
Vote Obama - LONG LIVE SOCIALISM

"KD June 17th, 2008 12:50 pm ET

I wonder why there isn't an investigation into whether McCain can even run for president, under the guidelines written in our Constitution.

Was he born on US soil or NOT?

Why isn't anyone raising this issue?"
------------------------------
This was investigated years ago when he ran for president in 2000.
He was born on a US military base, and everybody agreed that was good enough. I don't support him, but I also agree that he has the right to run for president.

DNC is playing with fire. There are more damaging information out there that is not known to the public on finance dealings or donations. I really can't see the logic in attacking the republican candidate. Or we can see the DNC house of cards falling and in smithering pieces too. Please stick tot he issues and stay away from campaign financing.

John... First of all, Jerrymandering as you put it of electorial districts is perfectly fine and was done by Democrats for 40 years before 1994.

Also, I'm sure that if Obama wins then the voting machines were perfectly accurate.

It's this kind of "logic" that makes me glad I left the Democratic party.
This "rush to the courts" when we don't win is really old.

Hello, it's me, Hillary. I would like to thank all the people who supported me throughout the campaign, but it's over now.

All you nutjobs still 'supporting' me by voting for McCain have lost your minds. You really need to get some professional help - I'm not the answer to all your problems - I'm just a politician.

Go out and form an identity of your own and try to solve your own problems for once.

This is just an example of the extent the DNC will go through to try and win an election. Their candidates cannot stand on their own therefore the DNC jumps in with meritless law suits. If the DNC does not win the election then it's because someone(GOP) prevented them from voting. It's always something with the DNC.

OK, now you're pulling the OBAMA stunt. This is exactly what he did about Michigan & Florida and what he did to win his seat with no opposition, he digs up any and everything BUT THEN SAYS HE ISN'T THE SAME OLD POLITICS. bull poop. He's just like all the rest but he talks a good talk. HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO GO WITH PUBLIC FINANCING TOO, WHAT HAPPENED, he found out he could raise money with his pretty speeches and empty promises, so he backed out too,.

Okay People - let's be 100% honest with ourselves here. No Politician, no matter what their party affiliation is, is 100% honest or trustworthy. They are salesman - their job is to sell themselves to the American people, get your vote and win office. Because afterall they are different from all the others. Right??? Their vision will lead us down a "new path" - "a new beginning" - "a great change", etc. They promise us this and that and tell us this is the direction we need to go, etc.

But what we must remember is that while the President is the leader of this country and military - his powers are limited. The real power of this country lies within the Legislative branch of our government.

So a Presidential canidate can talk until he's blue in the face about change and make all sorts of promises and tell the American people exactly what they want to hear because after all his job is to "sell" himself and win your vote. But once elected to the office it's the Legislative Branch that will ultimately determine the direction this country will take and if the newly elected President can keep those promises made on the campaign trails.

On a personal note - I'm one of those undecided voters that will determine who wins this election.

I completely agree that John McCain is a war hero, BUT he's also against the modern GI bill, and he completely broke the law here. Using something as collateral that you don't actually have is completely illegal in any situation. But then you say "but he did have the money" then he was using it and illegally withdrew, this has nothing to do with anyone else, they broke the law. And by the way he wasn't born in this country.

As far as Hillary supporters, remember that she was perfectly fine with no vote for Florida and Michigan until she was the only one that, against the rules, campaigned in Florida, and realized much later that she was up the proverbial creek without the votes from those two states. Why do we want another president that only follows the rules/laws that suit them?

The DNC should be watching for the Republicans putting the hack into the electronic voting machines, and with all the electronic surveillance of the communications they know who are democrats and who they will attempt to disenfrachise.

The DNC would better properly fund the election monitors and and voting precincts in November and have a fully fired up legal team to challenge the GOP on all it's jerrymandering.

If the electronic machines frig this election as they have done in the past congress should charge the CEO's and other management of the voting machine companies with treason and demand the death penalty.

Concerned INDEPENDENT CT voter:

Here are my fears if Obama is elected:

1) Government-regulated healthcare that I have to pay for. We didn't like how they bungled Katrina, now we want them in charge of our healthcare?
2) Precipitous withdrawel from Iraq... we would have to go right back. Obama said it himself.
3) More taxes during a depressed economy
4) Negotiation with foreign powers without condition - this will hurt our country
5) He can only speak well when he's in front of a teleprompter
6) He has two many "shady" connections for a man we're about to elect the most powerful man in the world. He's too much of an unknown.

My hand is getting tired.

1) Government-regulated healthcare that I have to pay for. We didn't like how they bungled Katrina, now we want them in charge of our healthcare?
2) Precipitous withdrawel from Iraq... we would have to go right back. Obama said it himself.
3) More taxes during a depressed economy
4) Negotiation with foreign powers without condition – this will hurt our country
5) He can only speak well when he's in front of a teleprompter
6) He has two many "shady" connections for a man we're about to elect the most powerful man in the world. He's too much of an unknown.

My hand is getting tired.

Chris from San Antonio, WHY SHOULD WE DROP THIS ONE? WHAT ABOUT THE STRAIGHT JACKET EXPRESS WE KEEP HEARING ABOUT? MCCAIN HAS BACKED OUT OF EVERY COMMITTMENT HE HAS MADE. EVEN THE TX GOP PIN: "IF OBAMA WINS WHAT WILL WE CALL THE WHITE HOUSE "HAS NOT BEEN STOPPED BY HIM.

Obama had originally agreed to use public finance money but once he saw that he could make lots of money from the kool-aid drinkers, he backed out!! How is what Senator McCain did any different?

Is Senator McCain supposed to just allow Obama to raise money to do what he barely did to Hillary....spend him 4 to 1 or 5 to 1 in states. Like I said he barely beat Hillary so.....

Hillary supporter for McCain!!! McCain 08

This would fall right in line with Obama's tactics in the Illinois state senate elections - he had his two opponents knocked off the ballot because of technicalities, now he's trying to hang McCain over another technicality.

Yeah, it's more evidence that Obama is not new politics, it's just the worst of the old politics re-packaged.

WOW!

JOHN MCBUSH HAS TO BE THE DUMBEST PERSON EVER! THIS IS BIG NEWS! Reminder: McCain Can't Use a Computerby Christine Whitney, posted Jun 12th 2008 at 1:02PMOh McCain candidacy. First there was the cottage cheese and jello thing, and now we are once again reminded of this: In a (sort-of) recent Yahoo video re-highlighted by HuffPo, members of the Republican Party admit to not watching movies (un-American!) and favoring PCs over Macs (gasp). Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, et. al admit their love for the computer of the Right, though Romney tries to play political by throwing in a mention of his kids' Mac use. This sounds real boring, but wait -- the real banger of the video comes later, when less-pretty-and-popular presidential hopeful John McCain admits he doesn't know how to use a computer. "My wife does it for me," was pretty much the gist of his response. Really? For real? We almost think this is an ill-timed joke, as even our Nanas can peck out an e-mail on their Mesozoic desktops. But jeez, John. That's gonna cost you the presidency.OBAMA 08!
