The issue isn't high gas prices - frankly, those might get you out of your gas-guzzling truck driving – big SUV "identity" vehicles and either driving less or driving more efficient vehicles. I've always wondered about the compensation factor for men compelled to drive big trucks with big wheels... hmmm....

The goal is to REPLACE oil with alternative energy.

I wonder why there isn't an investigation into whether McCain can even run for president, under the guidelines written in our Constitution.

This was investigated years ago when he ran for president in 2000.
He was born on a US military base, and everybody agreed that was good enough. I don't support him, but I also agree that he has the right to run for president.

Also, I'm sure that if Obama wins then the voting machines were perfectly accurate.

It's this kind of "logic" that makes me glad I left the Democratic party.
This "rush to the courts" when we don't win is really old.

All you nutjobs still 'supporting' me by voting for McCain have lost your minds. You really need to get some professional help – I'm not the answer to all your problems – I'm just a politician.

Go out and form an identity of your own and try to solve your own problems for once.

But what we must remember is that while the President is the leader of this country and military – his powers are limited. The real power of this country lies within the Legislative branch of our government.

So a Presidential canidate can talk until he's blue in the face about change and make all sorts of promises and tell the American people exactly what they want to hear because after all his job is to "sell" himself and win your vote. But once elected to the office it's the Legislative Branch that will ultimately determine the direction this country will take and if the newly elected President can keep those promises made on the campaign trails.

On a personal note – I'm one of those undecided voters that will determine who wins this election.

As far as Hillary supporters, remember that she was perfectly fine with no vote for Florida and Michigan until she was the only one that, against the rules, campaigned in Florida, and realized much later that she was up the proverbial creek without the votes from those two states. Why do we want another president that only follows the rules/laws that suit them?

The DNC would better properly fund the election monitors and and voting precincts in November and have a fully fired up legal team to challenge the GOP on all it's jerrymandering.

If the electronic machines frig this election as they have done in the past congress should charge the CEO's and other management of the voting machine companies with treason and demand the death penalty.

Here are my fears if Obama is elected:

1) Government-regulated healthcare that I have to pay for. We didn't like how they bungled Katrina, now we want them in charge of our healthcare?
2) Precipitous withdrawel from Iraq... we would have to go right back. Obama said it himself.
3) More taxes during a depressed economy
4) Negotiation with foreign powers without condition – this will hurt our country
5) He can only speak well when he's in front of a teleprompter
6) He has two many "shady" connections for a man we're about to elect the most powerful man in the world. He's too much of an unknown.

My hand is getting tired.

Is Senator McCain supposed to just allow Obama to raise money to do what he barely did to Hillary....spend him 4 to 1 or 5 to 1 in states. Like I said he barely beat Hillary so.....
