Bayou Joe, Sorry man but if we the rest of the world are going to cooperate with US on many other issues then your president is as important to us as he is to you. Your current president thought the rest of the world do not matter see where he has driven your country. If his policies are continued then we will look elsewhere for world leadership and leave you to sink alone.

What? Is this an endorsement?

Obama plans to spend the day in Washington Wednesday and also will meet with union leaders and attend a $28,500-per-person Democratic National Committee fundraiser hosted by Robert Kennedy’s widow Ethel at Hickory Hill, her home in McLean, Va

That must be good food. I wonder about special interest or lobbyist?

He is not going to listen to the little guy.

Obams = change you can choke on

personally i want to ripe that board off the screen and say one person one vote and throw the electrol college out the window. Al Gore won in 2000 and we would be some place really nice right now instead of paying 4 dollars for gas we might have a better energy policy and cleaner air and safer streets and a free Iraq

John McCain now supports drilling off shore, but didn't 8 years ago. Now all you hear in the media is how he flip flopped. 8 years ago, a barrel of crude oil was less than $30. Now it's closer to $130. When the facts change, one has to change their position to overcome the new circumstances. That's not flip flopping... that's being a wise leader!

West Coast...

I'm am an American.
I'm a Republican.
I wouldn't consider myself a fool.
I'm certainly not a millionaire.
I volunteer in my community, I pay my taxes, I work hard and long hours, I'm concerned about a myriad of issues locally, nationally and globally.

Why is it the practice of SOME members, such as yourself, of the Democratic Party that you have to make an enemy out of anyone who isn't blindly following your way of thinking or that of your personal candidate? There are so very many decent, concerned, hardworking and voting Americans who are Republicans. We're not blind. We're not stupid. We love this nation, and we try hard to do the right thing. But you make villians out of us just for being of a different party?

Seems so. And if so, shame on you and those who think that way. Instead of saying something that builds and brings people closer together, there are too many such as you who can only spout anger and untruths.

It's easier to spout nonsense and venom than to work to build something West Coast.

One would expect your sort of message from an angry 12 year old, not from anyone with the right to cast a vote.

Obama better get wise if he wants to win. Not all Clinton backers are as uneducated and unaware as he might think.

Senator Obama if you want the blue collar, women, and elderly vote.
You know what needs to be done to win.

Obama/Clinton ticket is your true change to be President.

I am not truely convinced that you have what it takes alone and I am sure many other Clinton supporters agree.

To truely bring the Democratic Party together you will need Hililary's help.

Don't listen to the news media. Do what you know is right.

Clinton Supporter.

I'm sure you'll all say I'm a republican posing as a disgruntled Hillary supporter - whatever you have to tell yourselves. You make that accussation all the time rather than addressing the issues. Yes, Clinton and Obama are similar on most issues to some extent - but Clinton was WAY more towards center, and way more interested in helping the country. Obama, believe me or not, comes across to me (to ME - I'm avoiding your stupid generalizations) as far more extreme than I personally am, and comes across as more interested in helping himself than in helping the common people - I can't get past the holier than thou people clinging to their guns because they're less educated than I am attitude. That is NOT the way to help the country. No, I'm not voting for McCain. I may end up voting for Obama, but will hate myself while doing it. He's not out to help me out.

"Socialism"? Politics by cliche isn't going to get you very far this year. That tired old dog, smear-and-fear, isn't going to hunt anymore. Nobody's listening to your side anymore because you righties have nothing new to offer.

But that's not surprising, because the entire raison d'etre of conservatism is to look backward, cling to old ways and resist progress or new ideas.

It's a sad day in a Christian Country when the wives of the candidates are attacked for speaking from the heart.

Religion seems to have a deleterious effect on the body politic.

it is amazing how easily preachers prostrate themselves before their ego.

Hillary supporters honestly, get a grip, this was not taken from Hillary, she lost. period. read the rules of the game.

Tell me something when your playing games with your children or grandchildren, if you are not winning the game do you stop and change the rules so you can??

Please, do not make a large mistake and put mccain in office. Your childrens future and yours depends on this election.

You are smart people, let go of the madness, I am positive Hillary would expect you to do so. Hillary knew they messed up, dropped the ball with the caucus states, it was their mistake, she is one smart woman. Hillary is and was upset at herself because of it. You can not blame anyone else.

Folks, dont get too head over heels. Polls mean nothing. Barack needs to acts as if he has no idea what the polls are showing. Remember what happened to Hillary during the primaries. She started high up in the polls in the beginning of the race to be out at the end of the race. Please Obama's supporters once again you need to work harder than before and not take anything for granted. Do your best to keep McWar out of the WH, because any recession affecting the U.S will have a negative effect on the world economy.Remember the effect of the 1933 Recession worldwide. Also watch out those bitter Clintons supporters who are nothing but Repubs in Dems cthoting (the new version of Rush Limbaugh's operation chaos).Their aim is stir up devision among Dems. From a concerned African living in Africa

Anyone who thinks Florida and Michigan are a toss up are crazy. And being from Missouri you should shade that burgundy right now because Obama does not stand a chance here. He will pull some votes in KC and St louis (McCaskill country) but the rest of the state is pure red. McCaskill is going to have to fight real hard just to hold on to her Senate seat as she has been a disaster since taking office. After jumping on the Obama bandwagon her numbers went even lower.

How can anyone in their right mind cast a vote for McCain? How can you people do it? When, from what's been presented so far, he simply wants to continue down the path the current arrogant, self-centered man in office now has led us down. The state of this country has continually deteriorated the past 8 years and it's simply scary how things are. People need to open their eyes in the next 5 months and realize we can't take another 4 years of this sort of “leadership”. We will end up in an even worse position in the world than we are now, if that's even possible.

Yeah Obama wants change allright, change us into a socialist state, take from the rich more and more (the rich politicans dont worry, they built in loopholes for themselves), bigger government, big brother looking down. Government is the answer to all our problems. No thanks...

So whats a windfall profit tax going to do? Give more money to the feds in Washington to waste on more pork and make the prices even higher as the oil companies recoup their losses. The feds are running in the red now, and Obama wants billions more in spending! He wants to end the war and proposes to use that money to spend, why not just NOT SPEND IT but reduce the budget? Obama is like a kid with his hand in the candy jar and cant help but spend spend spend.

Robert June 18th, 2008 12:13 pm ET

This "electoral" system is so lame and wrong. It should be solely based on popular vote. We should implement the democracy from within.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Uh, we live in a union of individual states, not one large country. So the system works effectively.

Our form of government is a representative democracy, not a true democracy. That is why you elect officials to represent you in the government, instead of casting your individual vote on each issue.

Hey Guys --
I'm for change too---But Higher Taxes is not any change---
It makes people less motivated to work and rely on gov't--
Obama is not speaking the truth when he says he's just going to tax the wealthy---
Anyone with a pension will have some tax whether it's capital gains or whatever--
He also staes that that we have the technology to get a car to get 100mpg -- so he blows off the price of gas by saying " it just got to $4.00 per gallon too quick"---
What about all those folks in the upper midwest and Northeast who heat their houses with Oil---
Does he not care about this---
It is also funny that a lot of my friends and my comments are not posted on these Liberal blogs---It does make it appear that it will be a landslide--
LIBERALS beware--
Same sex Marriage--
Keep taxing the people who have made a suuceess of themselves because most of you are too lazy to do it for yourselves--
THe worst is yet to come--

GIve it up Republicans. The only ones running the whole "PUMA" movement, smearing boards with "HRC supporters for McCain," and infiltrating blogs are McCain supporters anxious of the coming Democratic surge. The very concept that women are so irrational as to vote against their values and hearts based on anger is sexist and misogynistic in itself. WOmen unite for choice, equal pay, and respect!

uh oh, quinnipiac now has polls showing Obama leading FL, OH, and PA. Just like Huckabee pointed out... if the republicans keep trying to demonize Obama with (apparently) slanderous charges like being a "liberal" or "educated", they might as well throw in the towel now. Why would I vote for a party who singles out and rails on a candidates wife? Or is that believes a lapel pin says more about a man than what the man has always said? The frustrating part of this, is I still consider myself a "republican" at heart... but I'd rather take my chances with the democrats until this generation of republicans have kicked the bucket.

I like "distracting the youth with shiny objects" (12:12). Except its a typical [R] twist-of-facts: they say they are now going to use it on a [D]-leaning constituency -- but what it really explains is how they fooled the mindless and befuddled among us to vote the WRONG way in 2000 and 2004. In fact, 28% of the populace is still looking, slack-jawed, at "objects" they are told are still shiny, but which have in fact long since lost their luster.

Its unfathomable that the neo-idiots who have all but destroyed our country over the last 8 years think they can win the next election. Their only hope is to continue to take advantage of the stupidest among us.

<b>The only change coming for electoral map is from CNN. It's funny how NOBAMA or NONAME koolaid drinkers think their "Messiah" will change electoral map. There'll be no changes for electoral map, this election will bring states like Pennsylvania, Virgnia, Ohio back to Republican side. What CNN have failed to address, states NONAME have won are deeply entrenched RED states and will remain red for many years to come. Al Gore lost in his own state of TN in 2000, Edwards couldn't carry North Carolina in 2004. For Axelrod to say they would take Georgia, they're drinking too much koolaid. Florida will go to McCain and also Texas. New Jersey will go to GOP, the same with Michigan. In the month of April, Axelrod was asked where is their electoral map for General election, his reply; "we will find it" Many pundits especially CNN did not mention McCain already has 185 electoral college vote at his advantage while the Democractic Party is now scrambling where to get theirs. NONAME bragged they can take Colorado and New Mexico that is 9 and 5 electoral vote; Ohio will sink it in with over 20 electoral college vote and that will go GOP in general election.

The Democratic Party know how to LOSE, they've earned their PHD in losing. For 40 years, the Democratic Party have ONLY won the Whitehouse 3 times, Carter and Bill Clinton (only second Democratic President to be elected twice after FDR).

I am voting for McCain in general election, he is TRUSTWORTHY, I can't say the same thing to NOBAMA who is SHIFTY at best with SHADY CHARACTERS surrounding him.

"TELL ME WHO ARE YOUR FRIENDS, AND I'LL TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE."

"There are 2 types of Republicans: Milliionaires and Fools"; "AHH the color of blue in the morning.Let the red lemmings run for the sea"

Yes, above are fine examples of the mentailty of the typical Obamite. These are examples of the people that see Obama as a uniter? As far as I am concerned, Obama is just another dirty Chicago politician who can fool the weak minded with pretty words and a big smile.

I will go with substance over style anytime. Those of you who value common sense, please vote McCain.

Hmmm. That's a rather euphoric headline don't you think?

Has CNN given up even the pretence of being impartial?

You all realize that McCain wants to overturn Roe V Wade right? To all of you Hillary supporters (women most importantly) that want to vote for McCain to show your disgust? Please remember what is at stake. Women's rights will fall back by at least 40 years. If you don't believe me, please go check out the video on moveon.org.
So much is at stake, and we can not afford 4 more years of tragedy and appalling policies.
Yes We Can! Vote HOPE!
