"Obama currently has around 1,004,000 supporters signed up on Facebook and McCain has about 147,000 supporters on the social networking site."

That's because Obama's supporters are fanatics.

Obama: pow's should get a trial like you or i.
Truth:Our own troops don't get a trial like you or I.

Obama: I am not Muslim.
Truth: Why dose your brother say you are?

Obama:Offshore drilling is bad for the environment.
Truth: Why do they provide the best fishing offshore to be found the world over?

Obama:we are loosing in Iraq.
Truth: why do the generals say we are winning?

Obama: we should hold talks with Iran with no benchmarks.
Truth: Even Iraq set benchmarks before talking to them.

Obama: I voted against going to Iraq.
Truth: you were not even a senator at the tine .

I could go on and on.

One of the greatest things about Obama is that he is in touch with the youth, especially those interested in the political system and are desperately wanting a political figure they can both trust and admire.

Most Facebook users wouldn't be caught dead calling something a "crib" , its just not their Demographic. Obviously he thinks the youth can be pigeonholed by whatever MTV has to say, and that is not me or any of my friends.
(I am 23)

I used to have a huge amount of respect for John McCain, but his efforts during this campaign have been diminishing it over time. After all, if he thinks he can pander my vote by getting rid of the tax on gas, as well as calling something campaign crib on a social networking site, he obviously has no respect in my decision on voting. Therefore my vote goes to the man whom I believe in and obviously believes in me as he sees my vote as a vote for change.

Campaign Crib? Crib - the noun? As in what babies sleep in?
Or Crib - the verb?
The verb crib means: to pilfer, steal; especially : plagiarize
intransitive verb
1 a: steal, plagiarize b: to use a crib : cheat
2: to have the vice of cribbing

LOL

I am definitely against making fun of this man because of his age. Age is a beautiful thing and it is sad when society tries to say it is not. That being said, I do feel as if that is not his style of campaigning and it comes off quite fake...

I'm just two years younger than McCain and I can tell you that he's out of touch with voters of my generation, too. The lastest gaffe, protesting the Supreme Court decision uphold habeas corpus, is producing a fair number of senior Republicans for Obama.

WOW, HUCK AND THE FIRST LADY, LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE READY FOR A CHANGE ALSO. THEY MAY NOT BE SUPPORTING OBAMA, BUT THEY ARE TRYING TO GET THE REST OF YOU TO TALK ISSUES INSTEAD OF TRASH. IF YOU DONT LIKE HIS PLAN ON TAX, GLOBAL WARMING, CHOICE, THE WAR, THE ECONOMY THAT IS ONE THING, BUT STICK TO THE ISSUES.

*************************************************************************

I am just soooooo sick of the obama hypocrisy, him, his wife and his supporters- all soooo disgusting.

They trashed HRC and her husband who have done nothing but work all their lives to make America a better place and to improve peoples lives and all in the name of politics as usual the obamas used every negative thing they could to destroy them(all the while claiming to be on the high road!) and now they want to say how wonderful Huckabee and Laura Bush are---oh god such hypocrites-- can you imagine the things they would be saying if Laura Bush had the guts to have said "yeah what the hell is up with this woman saying she's proud for the first time" (which is what she said not what she's spun it into) .

I hate politicians especially ones claiming to be something they are not.

NOprahbama....vote "present" in November or for McCain.

The sad truth is that McBush's jet fighter is tied to a two ton anvil called the Republican manifesto and that should cost him the election!! Wrinkle free 'shirts' like White are a poor excuse for the candidate and meant to bridge a TWO generation divide!!
Now if only the US can get over the racial division - I'm not holding my breath!!

Texas Trail Dog. Yes, I see very cleary... 20/20.. It's not about color at all, it's also about getting one's message out and this attempt by McCain will not do it. People can see right through it. He needs a better strategy. No need to take anything personally but with no pick of my own right now I admit hands down Obama has done a very good job of communicating. He can actually prove it too (with figures). It's okay if you support McCain, he still needs a better strategy.

Whoa, this is far too too too too too too LAME. Who thought of this lame crap for McOldie. How sad!!! Facebook and McOldie kinda like oil and water. There is too much of an age difference between these two candidates for this kinda gimmick to be effective. Everywhere McOldie goes he surrounds himself with old farts, or the "old farts at heart." and it make him look like a talking fossil. Reagan was old also, but he had a youth attractive, appeal to worked. This yellow teeth creep and his plastic wife make me think of the Flintstones Who, for heaven sakes, wants to see where McOldie spends his time. We can go to our great grandparents souped up RVs and see the same. Old folks traveling crib, what a hoot!!!!

Why watch McBush all the time, the man is boring as hell and can't even read the teleprompter correctly that's why he always smiles after he says "my friends", that line is so lame. I like when Wolf Blitzer asked the Minn. Govenor if McCain can fill an arena of 20,000 people and the way he responded was---he does town halls, in other words, heck no, cause he is boring and people are ready for change, maybe if he talked more about leaving Iraq then maybe, just maybe he would have a chance this November---face it, it looks like it's over already.

I love how the female Hillary supporters can not vote for a gentleman who shares the same views as Hillary, is a faithfull husband and father, supports womens rights and is a long time friend of Hillary's. Yet these women will vote for McCain who is against womens rights, will stuff the Supreme Court with justices who will reverse womens rights. Abandoned his former wife after he had adulterous affairs and after she became disabled. And who has referred to his current wife in vile foul descriptives in front of their friends. Please help me to understand this. I am a women who likes Hillary but I do not understand these women at all.

How is this not obvious? Race has no correlation to intelligence, decision making, or leadership qualities. Advanced age has an effect on ALL of these issues. Furthermore, age is a serious consideration when you are talking about the Leader of the Free World. The Vice President must be sworn in when the President goes under for basic surgery, so the possibility of serious health complications is among the most serious issues this country could face. It's not age discrimination, it's a reality of the human body and the Presidency

Does it strike anybody as odd that so many people are bashing McCain for being late on a Facebook application when probably half of Facebook's users are too young to vote?

As a 20-something guy, I can tell you that young folks are the hardest vote to get. A Facebook application (or not) isn't going to sway votes. I think touring a campaign bus is probably the one of least interesting applications, but determining one of the leaders of the free world isn't going to hinge on whether or not they have a Facebook application or if they have a cool bus.

WAYNE: "Hillary supporters for mccain at "the confluence" already have 1,082,000 hits, and they have only been up for 10 days. I am sure they will be helping McCain out with his campaign in every way they can.:

pure curiousity and nothing more. I am a diehard Obama supporter. So please don't count too much on hits to mean support for that pathetic, revenge-filled cause. OK!!

Obviously some of you value youth over experience and substance. BO is a follower...he has to be because he has no experience...just who do you think props up this Manchurian candidate who repeats empty slogans over and over without any substance. Get real. Do you think that people who actually vote in force hang out on these websites? No, they are busy working to survive. They don't need more taxes raised on them to subsidize national health care, etc. By the way, you too will be an old fart some day if you are fortunate to live long enough. Watch the age discrimination...it is another form of discrimination and not cool. Many cultures and societies value their seniors highly, unfortunately in our youth-worshiping society, we are not one of them. Ah, youth, they are excitable, but will they actually vote?????

Can we get closeups of the Big Oil lobbyist onboard of the so called Straight Talk Express for the GOP aka Gas and Oil Party.

We already know it's being driven remotely by Carl Rove and Rush Limbaugh

Are there really Americans who think Facebooking is important? Just a bunch of teens and paid-for-by-parents-students and liberal college professors. We know they all use the computer to communicate their hatefulness -- they can't say these nasty things face to face. So sad the young resort to such trashy techniques. Hopefully, they will learn this is all bad.
