Fellow Obama supporters:

This is great news but lets keep in mind that only a small sample was used to come up with these numbers. We still have a long way to go and there are still a lot of ignorant, racist and uneducated people out there that will claim they're Democrats but vote McCain.

Let's hope this trend continues and Barack keeps winning the swing states. This is one of the most important elections in history and we can't afford to lose it.

Even if a sizable percentage of Hillary supporters vote for McCain, Obama can still win handily.

Just look at the primary vote totals, with Hillary AND Barack often doubling McCain's vote total, and you can see why. If Obama can break even with independents, then we could see a landslide.

Obama will get at least 300 electoral votes, maybe as many as 320.

CNN has ommited possibly critical demographics in this poll,
for example:

Though, Obama leads McCain 10 to 23 percentage points among women in these 3 states, the male vote is too close to call.
Also Obama acutally trails among white voters in Florida and Ohio, though he gets more than 90 percent of black voters in each state.

You can read the full results yourself at Quinnipiac University's website.

By omitting these types of observations on the political landscape and merely reporting "Obama is good; McCain is bad" CNN is doing a tremendous disservice. Please CNN, report the full results without stacking the deck in favor of one candidate or the other.

This is nothing.

People are beginning to wake up and realize Obama would be a disaster for this country, otherwise he would be ahead by much more that that.

If the media was honest, they would analyze why Obama isn't much further ahead considering the war and economy, but they won't.

They will just keep telling the public that Obama will win, just like they did Kerry.

I'd agree with that statement, at least with Huckabee. As much as I disagree with most of Huckabee's positions, he is a very charismatic individual who holds your attention. I saw him in person about two years ago (before he was well known), and he definitely would have drawn a striking contrast with Obama, much more so than McCain (at least on the issues)

But I still think Obama would win. Go Obama!

Keep on selectively pushing those polls that say what you want them to say. Just like you did throughout the primary. The truth of the matter is that Obama is struggling. He should be much further ahead. McCain will continue to get stronger, and Obama weaker. The more Obama is pressed to answer the tough questions, the more he continues to show his lack of requisite experience and judgment.

Lisa – I am not sure if you are just trying to be funny or if you are ignorant...but Florida and Michigan voters have a full vote in November.

Those states broker the rules and deserves to be punished at the convention in August.

That punishment has no effect on the general election. I, like many people in Florida, did not go vote (for Obama) because I knew my vote wouldn't count. So I think it was MORE than fair that my state and Michigan got half-votes.

What the heck does a “Quinnipiac” poll matter? The same outfit reported in February 2008, “Obama closes on Clinton in New York, New Jersey.” Clinton went on to win both these state primaries.
Just more “propaganda” fishing for CNN. Just so you know, CNN, I no longer watch your stations. I also sent the following to Time Magazine, which is owned by the same company as CNN: “Because of the extremely biased coverage by your magazine on behalf of Senator Obama - and because of your extremely repugnant coverage against Senator Clinton, I hereby cancel my subscription to Time Magazine.” These same sentiments apply to CNN.

The only thing reliable about these polls is that they are making money for pollsters. Surely everyone must know that poll numbers at this time are TOTALLY INCONSEQUENTIAL! If I had a nickel for every poll that changed almost from week to week, and certainly from month to month, I would be a rich woman. The general election battle hasn't even started yet. Today's polls are as fickle and unreliable as which way the wind will blow tomorrow. And some pretty strong winds are bound to blow thru both the Obama and the McCain camps in coming months.

Ohio residents are tires of Bush/McCain failed economic policies that drove jobs out of that state to other countries.

Floridians are finally waking up from their mistake 8 years ago...call it guilt? Who cares...they're finally "getting it" and supporting Obama.

Pennsylvania...never was worried McCain would turn this state red, because the only red in that state, is the boiling blood angry faces of all those who, like Ohio residents, lost jobs to overseas.

Look deep into your hearts people, past any hardened notions of partisanship, or disliking Democrats simply because you have for so long. John McCain is not suited to lead the most powerful nation in the world.

Obama is young, intelligent, clear-headed, eager and above all else has proven fantastic judgment. His plan, much like Abe Lincoln, is to fill his cabinet with members from both parties. He will choose the best people, not the best Democrats.

John McCain is going to stock the entire gov.t full of hard-line republicans that will continue to dismantle our social programs, overturn a woman's right to choose, keep the behemoth war machine rolling along, and eventually destroy our nation from within.
