Why Sen. Obama is not proud of his heritage? (Religion is another story) If Sen. Obama is not ready to talk about his heritage with pride, maybe America is not ready to talk about it too. But his connections are obvious and American people need to be ensured.

I trust Mayor Bloomberg, but wasn't Obama raised as a Muslim. Maybe he is not a Muslim now, but as I recall his dad was a Muslim and his mom and he moved to a Muslim country where she married another black man and lived there a spell. He may not be a Muslim now at least that is what he tells us, but you never know what goes on behind closed doors with him and his hurricane wife. Isn't she a piece of work? He was a big supporter of campaign financing reform- that is HE always supported limiting campaign spending to the amount available as "public financing". Democrats have long supported "public financing"- that way each candidate has an equal amount for campaigning and there is a maximum that can be spent and the doners remain anonymous (donations are made via the tax forms). Public financing was a big thing for democrats- calling for reforms in campaign financing- precisely so that the amount of money ONE candidate could raise would not/could not give that person an unfair advantage in the campaign. Otherwise, a candidate can actually BUY the presidency by raising so much more money for his/her campaign. Now that Obama has the advantage in ability to raise money- Obama does a COMPLETE TURN ABOUT – on his stand on public financing. That makes Obama a big hyporitical liar.\\

MCCAIN HAS ACCUMULATED HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEYS FROM THOSE WASHINGTON LOBBYISTS AND SPECIAL INTERESTS GROUPS AND NOW SAYS HE WILL ALSO ACCEPT PUBLIC FUNDS. OBAMA IS DOING THE SMART THING BY OPTING OUT. YES HE SAID HE WOULDNT ACCEPT THEM, BUT MCCAIN HAS CHANGED THE RULES SO ITS SMART FOR OBAMA TO CHANGE HIS.

It is true that Obama lived in Indonesia from 1967 to 1971, attending a local school with Muslim children for 2 years and a Catholic school for 2 years. He then moved to Hawaii to live with his grandparents, where he attended school from 5th grade through graduation. He was not raised in a foreign land unless you count Hawaii as foreign. Do his 4 years in elementary schools make him a Catholic Muslim? Are all children whose fathers are Christian automatically Christians from birth?
