McCain's camp reported just having completed the best fundraising month of his presidential campaign, according to documents filed Thursday with the Federal Election Commission.

It's working! Disgusted Democrats who have switched their contributions (and votes) from Hillary to McCain are starting to make a difference!

I'm happy to see the two of them campaign together. I think it's a great idea to bring the party together.

As for the whiny Republicans...I think they need to find something else to do instead of constantly twisting the truth or McCain saying something then "I didn't say that"...yeah right. Besides, the Republican system of "winner take all delegates" system has left them with one of the weakest candidates they had.

I'm proud of the Democratic primaries...despite the ups and downs. Let the games begin...

If I am ever elected president, I will make the term "flip-flop" illegal. Who cares? Can you all be so dumb? A person may have an opinion on something and then, the situation changes and their opinion might change also. Who wants a leader that will never change his mind? We got that with Bush and he has kept us on a steady path to oblivion. Is that what you want? Personally, I want a "flip-flopper" as president because, IN THE REAL WORLD, flip-flopper = flexible and open minded.

Well, I hope this is the first appearence of our ticket. If it is, then I look forward to working towards a Democratic win of every branch of government. If, however, Obama wants to have a divided party and does not put Hillary on the ticket, I look forward to watching it all play out on t.v.

Dan Abrams showed footage he uncovered of a Fox News interview with John McCain on March 13, 2008, in which McCain said, "I didn't really love America until I was deprived of her company."

Abrams thinks McCain's comments could undermine the "right wing's steady attacks against Michelle Obama."

Dear "Way To Go Obama",

If you are a Hillary or McCain supporter, then you are the sheep. Actually you are dead sheep because you've already fallen off the cliff. We are trying to save lives, not take them.

Obama, your next president in 08.

Wouldn't it be nice if Obama came out nd sai. . .for too long we haveallowed the Republicans to frame the debate, to frame the issues and to cow the democratic party, who were too timid to fight back. NO MORE. As the Democratic Candidate I tell you I am in it to win it!. Politics is a rough game and I am here to tell you that we will do whatever we must, within the legal limits to make sure that our message is heard and come January 2009 is implemented!!

Wouldn't that be just a breath of fresh air!

It's amazing to me how much of Obama's public image is nothing more than a social construction (and really, that goes for the other candidate as well). No matter what you think, none of us know anything about people we have never met in the flesh, and what we know of people we've actually met is questionable as well. During election cyles there is always so much chatter about who the candidates are or aren't when the truth is that we don't know . . . we never really know. Here's a secret, that shouldn't be a secret - when you learn to be OK with your own ignorance it becomes easier to listen. The more you listen, the greater your chances of learning something or at least broadening your awareness. And to complete the circle, the more you broaden your awareness the less ignorant you become. You want to make the world a better place? You really want to help lift our nation's politics to a higher level? You want to be the best Citizen you can be? Then talk less, and listen more.

I am disappointed that Senator Clinton would campaign for a candidate who is inferior to her in every way. That does not change my plan to vote for Senator McCain in November.

For anyone out there who will not support Obama in November, please vote for McCain. Do not stay home. No one will know that you stayed home and Obama could still win. Make sure your vote counts against Obama by voting for McCain.

We will pick up the pieces of the Democratic Party and start rebuilding in January.

And he thinks this makes a difference HOW?????? He and his diciples just don't (or can't) get the big picture. WE JUST ARE NOT GOING TO SUPPORT MR. "CHANGE MY MIND" WHEN IT'S TO MY ADVANGE, BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. NO WAY, NO HOW NO TIME TO OBAMA. UNDERSTAND.

Hillary, if you are even half of the woman I "thought" you are you will distance yourself from him NOW!!! And don't let the rest of the dumb democracts push you - you are much better than this (I sincerely hope) . A few republicans (like that crazy Mike Huckabee) is swinging toward him - it's time you team up with McCain. Cross over, go independent - whatever but get the heck away from Mr. Change NOW. If you, you are damaging your political career beyond reprieve.

The choice of VP on both sides will be a major determining factor for a majority of voters. I doubt if Obama will choose Hillary, it would be a nice payback if the DNC forced her upon him as they forced him upon us. It is not unusual for the party to strongly suggest a running mate to the nominee. Time will tell. I will write Hillary Clinton on my ballot, unless she is his VP, then I will gag and vote for that ticket

Anything Obama says is believed by his faithful minions. If he said night is day, the obamabots would out sunbathing at midnight, convinced that they're going to get a tan. Personality cults are rather creepy I think. McCain/Clinton 08

I have lost respect for Hillary Clinton if she is to team up with this man. I realize, politically, that she has no choice, but will never vote for someone as radical and slippery as Obama--he is looking for those "bitter, gun slinging, religious people" of which I am one. Too much arrogance and did not want my vote in the primary--he will not get it now. Please, people, do not lower yourself to vote for him after he insulted all of us hard workers. He will only raise your taxes to pay for his ego programs for those "non-workers".

Hillary is Obama's strength, rather all his supporters choose to believe it or not, she was the brainer in this campaign. He lucked out on being the cool guy with no substance but great speeches and great experienced campaign management, who know the ropes to succeeding behind the scene and making him look clean while doing so, rather it's clean or not. They knew just how to manipulate Hillary's campaign by swaying the media as portraying him the Golden Boy. But the truth will be known. How much more fakeness do the American people need by having both he and Michelle "trained" by experts on how to act to portray themselves as one of us. Please, I am so sick of the fakeness.

If having hired Patti Solis Doyle to slap Hillary in the face was their way of saying "no way" to Hillary, for the V.P. position, it will back fire, for I promise you that there is more than the noted polls of 25% of Hillary's supporters that will turn on both Obama and the Democratic Party for what they did to her. "Promise", just watch!

No, I am not bitter, just been around to see how dirty the political world is to those they choose to hate and how someone inexperienced and new in the block can be transposed to be something he is NOT - a leader. Stop making us think we're vulnerable and gullible enough to not see the truth about this candidate, all your ads are a waste of money. Come on, get real!

I was supporting Obama at the beginning, but the guy can't seem to take a consistent stand on anything.

He changes any way the wind blows and doesn't seem to be able to give intelligent answers if it's not written in a speech.

McCain is beginning to lay out intelligent Energy and foreign policy and Obama is light years behind.

I hate to say it, but McCain is beginning to look like a better option for the future of this country.

just because they are campaigning together does not = Hillary as VP.

Sen Obama will not be pushed into a rash decision just because some ridiculous people stomp their feet and say they will not vote for him if Hillary is not on the ticket. I think she should go back to the Senate and do an excellent job, then we will consider her in 8 years.

A libertarian for Obama:

You are missing the point. He's a game player.

He changes the rules to suit him. Change is something he believes in, when it's to his benefit. He doesn't want to give up all that money being provided to his campaign by the casinos. I have a problem with him because he promotes that he's this innocent man and all of you have fallen for it.

He has a history of going back on his word.

Rev. Wright
Pfleger
NAFTA
To Pin or not to Pin
Public Funding

He also plays dirty politics - look up how he became a senator. He didn't care what the people wanted - he used the rules to ensure he was the only choice. He is a very shady character.

Reality check: who is more knee-jerk and zombified?
The Obama supporter who blindly follows Obama's constant flip-flop on stances, including his demonizing of Hillary,
or
the Obama supporter who never listened to his 'positive' message to begin with and continues his hatefest against opponents staying in the primaries mind-set.

I respect Hillary and her decision, however, I do not think she should campaign with this guy because this guy damaged this party and made it undemocratic any more, because he hired some whites called officials (Dean, Pelosi, Jim, Kennedy, Reid...) to force Hillary drop out of the race.
McCain may be our only choice because the best option-Hillary was gone.

"The only way I will vote for Barack Obama is if Hillary Clinton is on that ticket. If she isn't, I will sit this one out. I won't vote for McCain either. My vote is secret and I just don't give it away because I label myelf a democrat."

Mr. Young African Male can go join the wailing PUMA gnats and vote for McSame against their own interest for all I care. Why hide your vote? It's clear sissy

An honest question: Why are the rabid Hillary backers (as opposed to the rational ones) against anyone else WITH THE SAME QUALIFICATIONS being VP, and will vote McCain? You want experience, there's Gore who was also working during the Clinton presidency and in a more active role than first lady. You want a woman, there's Sebelius. You want both, there's Pelosi. Although from what I've gathered so far it's Hillary or nothing, even though you can find what she offers elsewhere.

So... Obama supporters criticize Hillary supporters whom they have insulted and alienated for switching to McCain... and then they also continue to scream 'if Hillary is on the ticket I myself am switching to McCain...' and you don't see the hypocrisy of that? Blind-sight is 0/0...

Obama's wife is the main reason I would not vote for him. She is anti-american, and racist, along with his pastor. But this is going to get my vote back, because I wanted Hillary. However the question is how many democratic votes is it going to lose because of the people who vote d for Obama because they didnt want Hillary, and the ones who voted for Hillary because they did not want Obama. I think that would cost the democratic party a good amount of votes.

I saw an interview, recently, with a young woman(early 30's) who said that she would be insulted if Barrack Obama did NOT choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate. I couldn't agree more. I think that Obama would be very wise to take Mrs CLinton as his VP. I am a registered democrat and have always been. I have supported Hillary CLinton. I understand that Mr Obama is the democratic choice, however, I am considering voting Republican(a thought that makes me ill) unless he chooses Mrs CLinton as his running mate. My reasoning for this is of no concern to anyone, I am just stating the obvious. What a force this team would be---awesome. The Republicans would have to take a look at what the country is finally fed up with.

To all you bitter Hillary supporters:

Hillary has supported Obama, so get with the program. A vote for McCain is a vote against Hillary. If you want to slit your own throats just to prove a childish point go right ahead, it seems par for the course among all you Wal-Mart Democrats.

I think that she would maintain better credibility if she just stayed in Washington and worked in the Senate on issues important to her and her constitutants during the general election. Obama supporters claim they don't need her or her supporters so I think it is time she steps back and stops being the one to try and reconcile the two camps. If Obama is such a leader then it should be up to him to unify the party. Afterall, isn't he the only one who can bring bipartisanship to Washington.

NO HE CAN"T

Thanks; another example of the childish mudslinging Obama will work to remove. You make it ever clearer why he is needed in the White House.

People can vote however they want. A few million young voters supported Ron Paul religiously, and many were "democrats" looking for a real change. You are probably the same person that has criticized democrats for saying they won't support Obama, but then bring out the red carpet for the republicans that will vote for Obama.

I think this is what upsets many people about democrats. The double standard is amazingly sickening.

I watched a great interview yesterday with Ron Paul talking about his cause and how he will hold his own convention in St. Paul (the coincidence is fitting) while the Republican Party holds their convention the same weekend.

Many people on all sides are sick and tired of the partisan politics that it feel like a civil war. Our economy is failing and neither major party candidate has a clue IMO.

the people saying Hillary should be VP or they will vote for McCain balony.Get over it .
If your going to reject Hillary for campaigning to help Senator Obama win in November then your not a Democrat but a closet Republican.

Stop your whining and go register as a Republican if some of you will not support Obama without Clinton as his VP.

Maybe your Republican Neocon Trolls just trying to start trouble here.

If as a Democrat you do not support Obama because Hillary is not his VP then your a Turncoat and in my book a fake Democrat period .

Judging by some of the comments in here, its no wonder why they country is in the shape its in. Any Democrat running to the Republicans because their candidate doesn't win or choose a certain person for VP is brainless. Would you really run to a party that cheated Gore out of the presidency and for the same thing you claim the democrats are doing? All threats posted on this site about voting for the other side can't/won't be verified anyway. To put this country in more economic harm because you didn't get what you want is stupid and you deserve to suffer.
