I think we need to do some drilling into McCain's cranium to see if we can locate any of his old opinions or positions, buried deep within his gray matter.

If China is helping Cuba slant drill of the coast of Florida,
why shouldn't we drill offshore? Will an oil spill at a Cuban well
    not effect the Florida coast?

Someone said 51 years ago that OIL was not infinite but was finite and one day the world is going to wake up to the day when the earth has given up it's last drop. And as that day approaches this country and all the other countries will be competing for a product that will be controlled and limited in it's availability. And there will be economic devastation happening in this world.

The future for us is pretty bleak unless we turn all our attention and resources not to drilling for more OIL, but to developing new sources of energy. This is something that we seriously better think about. Obviously McCain isn't thinking about it.

Obama is the only way to go...his plan is looking out for our children and their children....WAKE UP AMERICA!

Has anyone asked John McCain how he feels about the pending sale of Anheuser Busch to a Belgium company especially since his wife is a major share holder of a budwieser distributor? How does he feel about seeing another US company head over seas on his pocket book?

Let Obama say we do not need to drill offshore. Let hima nd others say how bad it is to drill . That shows how not up to date and do not have the facts when it comes to drilling. Drilling is not the whole answer but it is part.

Obama is on the wrong side of this issue.

How dare John McCain advocate a comprehensive approach to energy independence for our country! What he will think of next to help us?

Big Oil already has leases on tens of thousands of acres that they are doing NOTHING with...Even if they got their greedy mitts on ANWR tomorrow, nothing would change! Turning your country into a bigger, dirtier version of East Germany is not the solution....

We definitely need to develop new energy sources and technologies ..... AND drill offshore too. We should have done all of that long ago before we got into this current mess. As it is, it looks like the Middle Eastern oil countries will have us by the short hairs forever unless we take decisive action on ALL available options.

As Canadian looking south I only have one thing to say about this.

Go Obama 2008!! You represent the change that most of the Western World needs.

John McCain gave a speech to rich Canadian people today ("Economic Club"). That's all the republicans (or conservatives in Canada) care about. It's time for change. Not just in the USA, but here in Canada too.

    You go Barack!

If I were McCain I'd learn to come up with a view that I'd be capable of sticking with for more than .05 secs, before I start blasting my opponent OFFSHORE!

Good. Not gonna happen here in California anyway. We have a strong distrust of the oil companies.....most Californians believe we along with Alaska are being charged more at the pump because ............. an effort to pressure us into allowing oil companies to drill off our coast. We are very angry.

    No thank you.

Wake up America! this obama guy is dangerous. If you would like some insight into what your national government will look like six months after this creep is installed in the whitehouse, take a long hard look at Louisiana.
The recent Ann Duplessis fist pump after giving herself a 125% legislative pay raise, look at what the Mayor sugar Ray Nagain has done for what he calls a "chocolate city" then there is the clan headed by the famous William (dollar bill ) Jefferson, his brother Mose, sister Betty, and a host of others. Look at Detroit, Michigam, what a mess, and the list goes on. get your heads out of the sand before it's to late.

Well Wolf, up here we don't call it NAFTA, we call it the YOUR TRADE AGREEMENT!! Anything that the agreement stated that 'YOUR' business groups dislike is challenged and higher tariffs are introduced by Congress while the issue itself takes years to come to resolution. Near the end our gouvernment pays a bit more and calls it a victory! Then the circus starts all over again!! If you can't abide by agreements with your largest trading partner, then come out and say so. In this world, we can go elsewhere!!

Good place for him! He should stay up there a while, too. Maybe he'd learn that universal health care isn't such a monstousity after all; that Canada was RIGHT to oppose our Iraq involvement, and maybe he'll even lose his twisted corporate lobbyist "economic advisors" like oilman and mortgage banker-friendly Phil Gramm up there too! What a pathetic Bush clone he has become.

Obama is a flip flop liar. He is the same old politician. He flip flop about Public Funding and NAFTA. During the primary, he said he did not aware of his staff talking to the Canadian about NAFTA but look at his position about NAFTA now, it is exactly what his staff said to the Canadian that time. He lies to Americans to get votes. This is change that you can expect from him. Also, at the Al Gore endorsement Obama rally, when the Governor of Michigan mention Hillary name, Obama's supporters boo her rudely. This is the Unity that Obama promise you. This is another change that you can expect from Obama. After all of this, I suggest all Americans do not ever listen to anything Obama say but look at what Obama did instead. He will never get my support or my vote no matter what Hillary say to convince us to support him. I simply can not support a flip flop liar.
