Obama raised roughly $22 million in the month of May

(CNN) — The Obama campaign said Friday it had raised $21.9 million in the month of May, along with nearly $690,000 in general election funds.

In its monthly campaign finance report filed with the Federal Election Commission, the campaign said its cash on hand figure was $43.1 million.

In April, the Obama campaign reported $31 million in donations. Monthly FEC reports for all presidential candidates are due by midnight.

John McCain raise more than $31 million in May, compared to Obama's $22 million. The tide - it is-a-turning!

  4. falling for his lies

If someone else does it it is WRONG...unethical...corrupt.

If Obama does it... it is great...visionary... genious.

If Obama does it it MUST be good.

    Huh?

So now wasting millions to win a shoe-in campaign is a GOOD thing?

I thought Obama was the people's choice. Why does he need to keep spending money to convince people?

I thought America was hungry and eager for the kind of change Obama brings. So why does he still keep campaigning?

    Excellent.
As soon as I get my economic stimulus check, it's going straight to Obama.
    Take that, George!

What a "waste of time" changing the presidential seal. Let's talk about gas prices, like drilling NOW. When will Obama face McCain in a townhall debate?

Either Obama is the world's biggest fool or a complete idiot for putting a neo-presidential seal on his podium. If he can change the seal of the president, what makes you sure he won't change the name of the president's house. Give me a break! I like the name of Our White House. No change please.

I, for one, hope the closest he gets to the White House is the outhouse. He doesn't belong there as he is a serial quitter and a girlie man.

Second, did you see his gloves? Nice and frilly don't you think? What a comical cartoon character he is becoming.

How can anyone take him seriously. He is a clown. I saw new pictures today of sand baggers. I noticed not one was wearing gloves or girlie gloves like Obama likes to wear.

Give me a good old fashioned candidate with our values.

  9. Supreme leader

The fools for Obama don't see anything shameful, decadant and reminiscent of "the ugly American" about it.

Nations are starving. People are dying for freedom.

But here in America, we gleefully gloat about the huge amount of money we will spend to steal an election and install the least able leader.

And THIS in a year when the democrats have the election in the bag. Or maybe the democrats lost that advantage by trashing their best and installing their worst. Now the worst candidate of them all will simply buy his way into the white house.

I'm sick of his smug mug as it is. Now we will be plastered with images of the supreme leader everywhere.

I don't care whether that money comes in small or big donations. I want money OUT of politics! I don't care if it's 1000 or 1 million people having sent the money, it is still just buying an election and suppressing democracy. If we were to be fair we'd give equal chance to all candidates to present their platform and record instead of letting them outmuscle opponents by flooding the airwaves with attack ads that completely ignore the issues.
But then again Obama doesn't have stances or a record. So he relies on those attack ads.

    Obama all the way...

Ps didn't mccain run out of money and takes money from lobbiest and PAC groups....That is change you can believe in.

Obama cannot rely on his flip-flopping stances and his record to speak for itself. So he's just trying to muscle his way through the campaign by outspending his opponents on attack ads.

  16. bow down before the lord

The brainwashed, adoring fools for Obama don't see anything shameful, decadant and reminiscent of "the ugly American" about it. This sheer wastefulness. How ostentatious. How ugly the democratic party has become.

Nations are starving. People are dying for freedom.

But here in America, we gleefully gloat about the huge amount of money we will spend to steal an election and install the least able leader.

The NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY HAS DRIVEN ALL THE TRUE DEMOCRATS AWAY.

You are nothing but hypocritical manipulators.

Obama is the worst of politicians. Just today he has injected race and fear-blaming McCain for using them when he is clearly the first to raise the issues. Now, he modifies the Presidential seal for his campaign-that appears comedic. He "changes his mind" on two issues (NAFTA and public financing). He is a farce and his followers bow. Or maybe this country has fallen down the rabbit hole with Alice. I am looking for the Queen of Hearts.

And what is he going to spend it on? Talking about issues? Presenting his record?
If the primaries were any indication then no. He's just going to spend it on cheesy ads that parrot empty slogans, or attack ads against his opponents.

So... when Bush raised unprecedented amounts of money in SMALL donations in 2004 he was being corrupt and buying an election... but when Obama does exactly the same thing he's 'giving a voice to the people?'
    Hypocrisy alert!!!

And these people continue to complain how the gas prices were the fault of the Bush administration and how they are crippled by the new cost of living... and yet they see no problem spending their 'tight' budget on a spendocrat...
