There's no need for Obama to even start to send himself through these changes. He should keep Hillary, Bayh and Bill as far away from him as he possibly can.

Indiana is going to go Democratic without Bayh. As far as Bayh's next term, I think he is going to have a hard fight to keep it.

Dukakis was well ahead too and he lost the election; Obama will lose too. By the time November rolls around everyone will wonder why Democrats picked the weakest candidate – other than being black what qualifiations does he have? He's a speech and has no policies whatsoever; he takes the opposite stance of his opposition not because it's a logical choice but because he has to look like he has ideas – he has none. Obama is a motivational speaker that has confused many people into believing in his hype. I won't fall for it. I was a Clinton supporter; even if Clinton is VP I won't vote for Obama. He's the wrong choice for this country; McCain is the wrong choice too. Both democrats and republicans picked the two biggest turds and put them up as their candidates – however either way either choice is going to wreck this country.

Let the republican party use the word "bitter". I am sure that at some point in the past eight years we all have been bitter. When things are not what they should be, all kinds of emotions surface. Bitter is not such an unthinkable attribute or emotion when it is felt based upon a solid reason for being bitter. There are probably a number of republicans who have been bitter about the state of our country over the past eight years. Let them find something with more substance than an emotion to use as a weapon against Senator Obama. If we are honest, some members of the republican party are probably bitter over the fact that Senator Obama is the democrat opponent against Senator McCain.

im June 25th, 2008 5:29 pm ET Recent polls suggest only about 10% of Hillary supporters wouldn't vote for Obama. Expect to see that number drop even more in the coming weeks. With that said, I think Bayh would make a good choice. He may be a "Washington insider" being a Senator, but in a lot of ways he's a blank slate for most people outside of Indiana and would be in keeping with Obama's message of change. Polls are highly inacurate, here in FL I only know a few people the supported Hillary that plan on voting for Obama, most of them are still waiting to see who his VP is, have already decided to vote McCain, and I know quite a few people like myself that have left the party, and guess what. We don' t take the polls so the polls do not truly reflect the numbers.

Obama-Clinton ticket is the best choice. If Hillary Clinton is not chosen then the question will be. Why not Hillary? This will only cause the anger to be renewed. Obama will be helped by Hillary and the excitement for the compaign will once again be felt. Some Obama supporters might be angry but his supporter will stick with him. Hillary lost through a botched election where voters were not counted at all, counted as half votes, or even had their vote for Hillary taken from them and given to Obama. Obama's win is just as questionable a win as the Bush win was in Florida because it does not represent the full voice of the people. People were punished with their vote in two states for actions they were not even responsible for. This means that to a lot of people I know here in FL who had their votes stolen fromt them, that Obama really is not the person who won, but the person who was hand selected to win by the DNC. I will vote for Obama if Clinton is on the ticket, if not I will vote for McCain. It is not a threat but my right because I have left the Democratic Party and I am member of "No Party" now.

You crazy cat ladies are incredible. HRC is gone, she doesnot have 18 million follwers. They are gone. Many left when she claimed she was shot at by snipers, or said she was always against NAFTA. Or when she NEVER released her tax info, or who contributed to her husbands library (it is said it was almost completely paid for by the Saudi's, why? Don't know but makes me wonder), or when she refused to address the midnight pardons. Or when she pandered to the FL and MI voters. Or when she said delegates are what is important. But then changed her mind and tried to claim popular vote was what was important (minus caucuses or any primary she lost).

She is gone, and hopefully it's for good. It wasn't because of her gender, unless all women lie and say the things I mentioned above.

Let's put Hillary in a useful position, not waste her talents and power in the VP spot. Secretary of Health & Human Services? Secretary of State? I don't understand why so many of her supporters would want her in a role which is little more than a title (VP).

Jeff it is truly sad but the answer to your question is 1) either they are so mad and evil they want to see something bad happen to Sen. Obama so she can take over the No. 1 spot or 2) they are racist and can't stand the fact he won so they want to TRY to belittle him by demanding he use her or else. I say NO to HRC as VP. He needs someone he can trust and doesn't have to keep one eye open on. In the Clinton's case two eyes on. He should try to get her a job on the Supreme Court (although the republicans would never allow that). There she would really be good I have to admit it.
