The tsunami is beginning. The Obama Machine is gaining momentum. The Republicans/neocons whined during the Clinton years (which, by the way, showed an excellent economy, and a return to rational government) that they could do better if only they were in charge. They've had 7 1/2 years to show how well they could do. I give them a "D". It's time to expel them. Obama is obviously a very smart, politically savvy man. After all, he beat the Clintons at their own game. But being smart, he will not ignore the Clintons. They still have huge political clout. Obama will no doubt put Hillary in a very key government position. VP is just arm-candy for the President, so it would actually be a disservice to her and the country to put her there. She needs to be the secretary of one of the large and powerful departments of government (Health, or State come to mind). And Bill? Send him out on speaking tours. He's got a lot of his wife's bills to pay that PUMA, despite all their outrage, can't quite seem to feel outraged enough to help her pay.

The union endorsed Obama because, contrary to speculation by the media, the working men and women of this country (irregardless of race) are all suffering and have always suffered under Republicans. McCain told the Michigan laid off auto workers that they would have to find other work and to trainithemselves for new jobs at McDonalds, Wal Mart, Burger King and other fast food manufacturing plants. Sort of like the movie Soylent Green form the 70;s !!

At least Obama will help us workers here in Ohio, don't need any more Greed Over Principle (GOP) job exporters, outsources and union killers no more !!! Fear mongering will not work this time around for the GOP !! Carl Rove is back !!!

I have a question after reading a bunch of these comments after different articles - If Obama supporters are already threatening to not vote for Hillary in 2012 if Obama loses this election because they've decided that the only way Obama can lose is if it's Hillary's fault, why would they think that Hillary supporters would "do the right thing" in obamakid's minds and back Obama now? That's like Michelle Obama saying she wasn't sure if she'd vote for Hillary if Hillary was the nominee. If Michelle wouldn't have voted for Hillary, how can she or anyone else expect Hillary supporters to back Obama? Pretty hypocritical.

I dropped my union membership after only 1 year because, though they offered some attractive benefits, in each case I found better deals elsewhere. The local was a bunch of lazy do-nothings that ensured that dues were collected but little else. The endorsement by the AFL-CIO of Obama carries about as much weight with me and an endorsement from either of the Clintons.

Hey Sue, Governor Rendell is a politician and as a politician he said what he said about Senator Obama in support of the candidate he was backing. Now, the primaries are over and Governor Rendell also said that he would back Senator Obama if he won the nomination. He did and he is keeping his word. I know, an anomoly with politicians.

Any way, yeah, no surprise here and I would not get caught up in the polling right now. Lot of space between now and November though I do like the numbers as a supporter of positive "change" and "hope"! Get my drift?

On Energy Plans.... I already know what I'm going to be writing two years from now when Obama is president and blaming "years of Republican failed energy policies" for $6/gal gasoline. And stating it will take some time for his own new initiatives to start bearing fruit (mandated higher gas mileage in new cars, $150 billion in grants to further develop wind, solar and biodiesel power). I'll say, "I told you so". Conservation is good. Wind, solar and biodiesel are good. But they will not make any kind of major impact on our energy problems for years to come and they will never be the primary solution to our problems. In the meantime we need a "bridge solution" for the short and medium term. And that's what McCain's plans will directly address. But, then, we'll end up with Obama, $6 gasoline in two years (worse later) and a bucketfull of excuses and finger pointing back in time. If you can't govern, ... DON'T! I can't wait to start printing "I told you so!". You better believe a lot of us will be - despite Dems trying to blame George Bush for years to come. NObama N'08
