Sure Palin join in with McCain as his VP. Why not, at least he will get a few more votes then he will as it stands now. But I do understand why Palin says no... she just goes on the list of all those republicans that will not support the nominee. I am finding all this so very interesting... democratic and republican politicans not supporting and getting behind the party nominee. Such a shame, this is called true party unity on both sides.

wouldnt it be hypocritical? Obama has been in the illinois and united state senate for over 10 years and republicans harp about his experience to select a VP who has only been a govenor of a small state for under 2 years?

Sarah Palin is a great choice,
probably for 2012 and beyond?

Right Now John Kasich is a better choice.

Ohio and Pennsylvania,
it may come down to that?

While she may not have much experience, GW Bush had his dad GHW Bush, VP Cheney was former congressman and secdef and Rumsfeld was a former congressman. All in all, imense experience does not necessarily translate into good judgement and honesty.

McCain's VP selection is particularly important because he will not likely live for 8 more years, though we cannot know of course. I hope he does not choose just another cookie cutter conservative who says all the right things and doesn't mean any of them, like Governor Whats-her-name or Mitt Romney.

Huckabee would be his best choice. He is something of a populist. He would unite the evangelicals. He is a decent human being, unlike most of the Republican leadership.

Adding a VP to the ticket with the intention of having them bring their home state or region to your side rarely works, witness VP Al Gore in 92 and 96. If the VP candidate has wide appeal he or she can help the ticket somewhat, but it does NOT matter what state they call home.

This morning, Romney faithfully repeated that charge. When I pointed out that Obama reached across party lines to work with Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Indiana, on a non-proliferation measure, and with Sen. Gordon Smith, R-Oregon, on increasing gas mileage requirements, Romney shot back, saying that “Actually, on both cases, you’re talking about two liberal positions, non-proliferation as well as the gasoline mileage."

There you have it from Romney himself..... gasoline mileage is a LIBERAL issue......... I guess conservatives don't care about high gas prices!

Pay Attention: this is the GOP's answer to try to secure Clinton's supporters. They WILL have to have a woman or minority on their ticket just to compete. Condi Rice said she is open to being the VP, and we all know how good she has done. No matter who they throw on the ticket, it will be voter pandering.

In the end, the issues (I hope) will be the deciding factor. If that is the case, change is coming! If not, say hello to $10.00 a gallon of gas, another war (maybe two), and say goodbye to Roe v. Wade.

Popular? Maybe, but qualified? No. If McCain wants a woman, there are far better ones available. Palin would be a no-go. We're all already worried about McCain's age and health, so the big question is: Would Palin be able to step in to the presidency on Day 1 (should McCain drive through the Pearly Gates)? Absolutely not. This would be a disaster. Forget it.

Given McCain's age and prior history of skin cancer not to mention other human threats to a president at a time of war, this woman would have a realistic chance of becoming president.

There is NO WAY she is ready for that have had to deal with the very narrow scope of responsibilities of Alaska for not very long.

Canada for Obama
Listen to your best friends and neighbors from the North. They are the only ones that really care about you.

Sarah don’t get hooked up with McCain you will get politically scared for life as a “looser”. Listen to your northern friends!

Heard that McCain held a town hall meeting and only six people showed up hence he is not going to compete with the “weekends”. Any truth to this?

I think Palin would do better with Obama. She's a woman (for the few feminists who aren't with the Puny Unhappy Whimpering Adults) and a conservative, so that would bring variety to the Democratic ticket.

Obama/Palin or whoever in 2008 and 2012!
