With all these polls going around, I have never been polled. Neither has my husband, daughter, co-workers, etc. Has anyone on this board ever been polled?

I'm still voting Libertarian.

I was a lifelong Democrat–unitl I read the socialist agenda both Clinton and Obama offered. It was at that point I realized I was probably a little conservative. So I checked out McCain..and the GOP agenda--sucks, same old stuff new guy. Then I checked out the Libertarian Party...everything changed.

I don't care anymore whether my candidate wins or loses. From now on I'll only vote my conscience. My instincts tell me, and my observations confirm–that voting the Libertarian ticket in 2008 is the best thing I could do.

Even if my candidate doesn't win. At least I can look myself in the mirror knowing I did the right thing for my descendants and my country.

I still prefer Hillary, but will support Obama. I also wanted to comment on the other blog about Rendell and Bill Clinton. First of all, this story is misleading and the comments about it stupid. The big word is IF Bill Clinton, not Bill Clinton IS. We want to trash this great President based on an if. Bill has said he will support and work for Obama. What else does he need to do????

its no surprise Barack Obama is leading in those key states, his economic and energy plans are more wonky and concrete, whereas McSame has a 'quick fix' plan and no long term help. McCain has military experience but no foreign policy experience. Voters are tired of wedge issues and fear tactics which the republicans with the help of the media have skill fully played in the last 2 election cycles. This year we are looking for a economic President not a glorified G.I. Joe.

Interesting.... Gallup reported today a 45-45 tie between the two candidates with Hussein losing ground over the past few days. Once again, CNN is spinning the news to make the liberals feel good.

Lets remember, Obamabots, that Dukakis had a double digit lead in the polls at this juncture, and we all know how he tanked. Hussein is on his way to the same crash and burn result. Once middle America starts hearing Hussein's baloney on a daily basis thru TV and radio, one by one, those swing states will turn crimson RED.

Go Obama. Our savior has come. Change – he will lower our dependence on oil and he will punish the big bad oil companies. He is focused on alternate sources of energy, not drilling. We, the US are responsible for climate change and we will fix it. It does not matter that China is becoming the largest CO producer in the World, we can make a difference. Big corporations do not help our economy and they should be paying more. Minimum wage should be $15 an hour. Then only the strong companies will survive or those who can relocate to other parts of the world. We all need to make changes and saccrifice. Energy costs and food prices are going through the roof. His focus on alternate fuels will get us out of this within the next 30 years. Until then, eating and heating our homes are not a priority.

Change we can believe in Obama/Jimmy Carter 08 Oh yes we can destory this country. Yes we can.

I have failed and continue to fail to see how Minnesota is considered a battleground state in this particular election. In 2006, Democrats won statewide, including Senator Amy Klobuchar who won a Senate race by double digits. Obama is up in this current poll by 17 points! And it is not the only poll that indicates such a margin. Minnesota has not voted for a Republican since Richard Nixon in 1972. Does that sound like a battleground state? If the national media would ask people living in Minnesota they would know this state is blue. And this race is not a close one. Yet, the national media creates an impression that this will be a close race because they know it boasts their ratings and viewers.

I agree that it's too early to put a lot of meaning into these polls... *except* that they show Clinton's contention about Obama being less electable than her was FALSE. In the state-by-state matchups he has always done better than her, and brings states into play (e.g. New Mexico, Colorado) where she had no chance (because of Independents who will swing to Obama but not Clinton).

Obama's electoral map is great because there are so many more different ways for him to win than there would have been for Clinton. The voters made the right decision.

I'm really getting sick and tired of people posting here attacks on Obama on topics where someone else has made a statement. Nader makes contraversial comments about Obama and many of the posts did not focus on what Nader said, but went out of their way attacking Obama when he didnt do anything. Even with Gov Rendell's comments about Bill Clinton, people went out of their way to attack Obama as is he is the one making the comments. And these same people have the audacity to claim that everyone is in the tank for Obama. What a crock! I just want people to stick to the topic at hand and not use each blog as a springboard to attack one candidate or the other. Obama can not be blamed for everything that goes wrong or what others say. When someone says something contraversial, focus on the person that said it, not McCain or Obama if they had nothing to do with the statement.
