I have to admit, I was skeptical that Senator Clinton would actually rally her support to the Democratic nominee, but so far, she is proving that she will do just that. She has proven to be a woman of her word.

I understand there are former Clinton supporters out there that will not vote for Senator Obama under any circumstances regardless of what is said by Senator Obama and his campaign, any gestures made by his campaign, or anything said by Senator Clinton and her campaign. They perceive an injustice done on to Senator Clinton. It appears that supporters of both candidates got caught up in the intensity of the primary season, and things were said that shouldn't have been.

Despite that, I believe the majority of Senator Clinton's supporters, particularly the ones that are true Democrats, will support Senator Obama. Emotions were high during the primary season, but it appears cooler heads are now prevailing, and the party is uniting. I don't believe the holdouts will change the result of this election, and that Senator Obama will win the presidency.

However, if he doesn't choose her to be his running mate, I will have to think very hard in November who would make the best president. Some people are still dreaming that minority rules. In any race, the candidate wins when s/he gets the most of whatever is the standard that set at the beginning of the race. In this case, the most pledged delegates. If Hillary had won the most then she would have been the presumptive niminee. It is now Obama who had the number. Obama also won the most states, most popular votes and most superdelegates too. With a bit of spin, meaning counting Hillary's votes of two more states, MI&FL, than Obama then Hillary had the most votes but that is just like you give your little girl the win when you count her total points for 50 games compared with yours in 48. Hillary said it best when she said she won PA with 9% over Obama (instead of 20% as expected) because he outspent her. That were exactly the case with MI&FL: Hillary was the well-known candidate so without Obama and others campaigning, of course she won. She is now in the history book as "the first First Lady who won the most popular votes in the two beauty/name recognition contests in MI&FL in 2008".
So if you are a Democrat, you better work hard for Obama respecting the votes of the majority, instead of insisting on your vote must be counted more than many others. Hillary doesn't even have "18 million votes" as she said, otherwise where is the money from these people? They only need to donate TWO BUCKS each to help Hillary pay her debt in a flash. Let's get real and work for Democrat to win in November.

This is an awesome moment for the Democratic Party as well as the country as a whole. As "joint ticketish' as this picture looks, it would be better for Obama and his chances in November if he picks a VP with the following criteria:

1. Had faith in him from the start
2. Has unquestioned military/foreign policy credentials.
3. Has a shared world view with Obama on economic direction.
4. Has connections with vital constituencies or swing states

As much as Sebellius or Napolitano would make sense with their faith in him from the start, shared economic views and economic expertise, and connections with vital constituencies (Catholics, Ohioans/Arizona, and women), Webb, Nunn or Biden may be more prudent choices.

Do her supporters question why she is so deeply in debt? I am struggling, so I cannot afford to donate to both her AND Barack. For someone ready on day one, she had NO plan after Super Tuesday. I love Hillary, but she was completely arrogant in thinking that she was entitled to the presidency.

I think what they both need to do is to have a private meeting with PUMA and progressive groups like Daily Kos and really air everything out. I personally think he may have to put her on the ticket. They both received about the same number of votes. He won more states, which her supporters seem to ignore. Why would the superdelegates give the nomination to the person that won the least states? He won because of the votes, not because of superdelegates. I am an optimist and a person that believes in prayer. I believe that by November the party will be unified. I think that Bill, Hillary, and Barack need to sit down and talk all of this out. And as I said before, their biggest supporters (PUMA, Daily Kos, etc.) should also be there. No media, just the candidates, the former President, and the supporters. If Hillary needs to be on the ticket to beat John McCain, so be it!

This is all so ridiculous. Kiss and makeup for the cameras. I'm not buying any of it. The only reason Clinton is going along with this is it would be political suicide if she didn't. It makes me sick that someone with all of her money is holding her support hostage in order to get her debts paid. And if that wasn't enough, she has to "negotiate" her place in the party and the campaign. I wish she would just go away. As a woman she does not represent me and I feel she puts a stain on how women in this country are viewed.
