I hope that McCain chooses Jindal or Palin.

In the meantime, Obama = Bush 3:
Same mantra : change and unity
Same facade : charming
Same personality: arrogant and ambitious
Same leadership skills: inept

Who in their right mind would want to run with Mc Flip Flop and risk damaging their own careers? I mean the Republican Brand Name is so tarnished and rusted that no one but Mittens Romney (and he's a multimillionaire so what would negativity on his public service career matter) and maybe Huck-sta-bee would even consider running with McCain. McCain cannot and will not stay loyal to one issue and flip flops on issues so much he's a bobble head doll. Plus he's a campaign finance crook under investigation.

Can we have a few blogs with a little info about the republicans? I used to love CNN, but must go to Fox or talk radio to hear about McCain and Co. and try to make a choice in November. Thank goodness for Rush and Sean--at least they tell the truth and give me some facts!

Hey Mike,

Why are Obama supporters idiots? We don't support a candidate who changed his views and stances in 2004 after watching Bush/Cheney scare up votes to win re-election. We don't support a candidate that has NOW changed into a SUDDEN conservationist after voting against conservation supported bills over his years in Congress. We don't support a candidate that has suddenly had revelations on healthcare and alternative energy. We don't support a candidate that admits he has no clue on how to help right the economy. So why are we idiots? Why can't you hold an intelligent, adult debate/conversation? What characteristics are you displaying?

CNN I wish you would start some of these comment blogs later in the day to give us working repubs a chance to respond. I am starting to think you're a calculating news service?! I try like crazy to get in an intelligent comment, but have to read dozens of blogs from negative Obama "victims" every day. They refuse to even look at a positive sentence about the best choice for President!( McCain) I guess I am one of the few fools that think I can make a difference and help those starry-eyed young-uns to see the light! All of my conservative friends say not to bother with CNN blogs-they don't post them anyway! Say it isn't so, Lou Dobbs, are you still there--my independent hero?!

Rob Portman is someone to consider, but
maybe to aligned to close to the current Administration.
John Kasich is a better choice,
been on TV awhile has visibility, out of office,
also a star on Economics,is dynamic and quite a fighter.
Ted Strickland said he would not seek the VP slot on the
Democratic side, that is a clear opening for John McCain
to choose John Kasich a his VP Running Mate.
John McCain must win Ohio and Pennsylvania
and also Michigan if Obama makes progress out West
in NM,CO and NV.At least that is what the Sunday Morning folks
as saying on the Newsie shows.

I suspect no GOP wants to ally him or herself with McBush at this point. It's a sinking ship and the rats are going to jump off.

But hey, there's room on the Obama boat, even for rats ;-)

I'm hoping Obama will look at Chuck Hagel for a possible vp. Howz that for change?

Obama falters under pressure ( just look at the debates). He is not really fit to run this country. When you think of these words,: inexperienced, naive, elitist, arrogant, only one candidate comes to mind. When selecting a VP, Obama would definitely need somebody with great credentials to shore up his inexperiences. John McCain on the other has many years of experiences on many matters, he's been on committees and members of bi-partisan groups. How can these idiots want to elect Obama on his rhetoric alone. If they think experiences do not count, they should get a pre-med student to work on their brain!

I just need to know why you all think this election has been won already. Remember Bush was always down in the polls and still won in 2004. Just dont count all your chickens yet. Obama has a lot of baggage and those independents are still undecided. Remember the Evangelicals are still on the fence too, you just need a few slips of the tounge (which obama is capable of doing) and its history for the DEMS.

Some Republicans would rather fall behind Obama

than standing for the Republicans this fall.

The repubs are going down hill this year. It's pay back time.

I have this uncanny feeling that Obama is just rehearsing and see if Senator Clinton will be comfortable and adapt to the idea of VP slot. I didn't like the way Hillary ran the primary campaign, BUT I HAVE FORGIVEN HER, and willing to see her as the VP.

I cringe to think of McCain as the next President. It will be a SAD day, knowing amogst other things, that some of our precious soldiers, still living, will die in a couple of months from now from his continued promotion of the war in Iraq.

WHO CARES ABOUT WHO IS Mccain's VP???????

Portman is a smart man, he'll help John McCain in other ways than a V.P. spot and save his chances for a better Republican candidate in the future. Republicans are running away from John McCain to save their own political future.
