McCain's Straight Talk Express grows wings

WASHINGTON (CNN) - The Straight Talk Express - perhaps the most visible symbol of Arizona Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign - is taking to the skies.

The Republican Party's presumptive nominee will unveil his new campaign airplane on Monday: a Boeing 737-400.

The aircraft shares its name with McCain's ever-present campaign bus, which has been a staple of the candidate's 2000 and 2008 campaigns.

The 95-seat plane - with seats for the candidate, his staffers and the press - has the "Straight Talk Express" logo emblazoned on its fuselage.

Maybe he should fly to Iraq and stay there for a month, see our soldiers are suffering in that un-necessary war. Then come back and if he still says we are staying 100 years... people should forget him for the next 100 years.

They should call it the "Flip-Flop Express." A new logo could be Joe Lieberman standing behind Senator McCain, whispering into his ear.

there is a lot at stake people...
if you could go back in time to 2000, knowing what you you know now would you still vote for Bush? well if you are in worse shape now then in 1999, if you are tired of the politicians who have the special interest groups in mind, if you are tired of this OIL WAR killing over 4000 US soldiers so Exxon could get thier no bid contracts, if you AMERICANS are tired of the weak dollar ( the worth of our dollar is less than some countries we consider third world), our country is in the WORSE shape it has ever been in due to the GOP. but those big corporations backed by the GOP are making TRILLIONS of dollars...Chaney/ Bush all of the Halliburton stuff will come to light. Americans are loosing their homes, jobs, we people who have to choose between food or medicine, food prices are critical and we all know how badly the pump has hit us.
ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country...well here's an idea. DO NOT VOTE FOR MCCAIN. for if you do...GOD help America cause she is desperately going to need it.
Obama 08....stop the criminal activity of the GOP. stop the madness

A 747 would have been better. May be with a tiny little sleeping room, a bath and a beauty parlour. A big prize requires big investments.

Instead of paying the taxes on his California condo, he bought a plane? And he wants us to trust him to lead this country...? Are you kidding me?

It should be named "The Waffle Express". I never seen a candidate change position so many times, on so many topics. McCain's word cannot be trusted, unless your are a big corporation that doles out money to his campaign. I don't want anybody with a temper like his anywhere the White House, he'll have us in another war of his (or Bush's) own making.

Now he can jet around as fast as Mr. Obama and Hillary feigning a political marriage of ideas–as their "shadow figures attempt to hatchet each other in the head".

Do the jets these candidates travel around on come from their personal finances, their party, or their raised donations?

You'd think they'd pay off the remainder of the back taxes on their condo in La Jolla first. But hey, he's only running for President, why would that story get precedence over this lovely puff piece?

It's said that his campaign paid for the plane. I'm a little curious about that. Don't those planes cost about 25% of his total $85 million? How can he afford it?

McCain cares so much about the environment and energy costs that he's willing to add more smog and pollution to the skies with his airplane that his big oil donors and other lobbyists paid for. Sounds like big change to me! When will Grandpa John Needs-a-cane just give it up?

Since the gas prices are high and McCain's holiday tax-free gas will not do any good after all, he resorted to an airplane with the hope that the campaign will be able to at least pay for the fuel since the plane is the bribe from Boeing.

What a lousy way to spend money on stupid and non-sense items.
Why not spend that money to buy food and medicine and take it yourself to a homeless shelter or to a poor country and distribute it among the needy.

Paid for by the Lobbyist of America !!! - but people give Obama slack for accepting money from the American people who actually want to support his campaign.

Good job old chap! now get the heck out of the way..
I don't think it is fair to be ciritsizing Cindy for the plane and all but you guys should look at his bush buddies.. I bet they are well behind him now that he is calling for off shore dilling ban to be lifted..

that would make billions for big oil but listen to this.. it won't help you at the pump as it will take years to develop but atleast it will be a good excuse to help out big oil in their time of need.. (excess I mean)..

Go to YouTube.com Vietnam Veterans Against McCain and listen to the Republican Senator from New Hampshire, Bob Smith, and others tell you about McCain and "Straight Talk." After hearing that, I could not vote for McCain ever and believe that anyone that was also in the Vietnam Conflict or ever in the military could vote for him.

And why would they vote for Obabma who has yet to go to Iraq and meet with the Gen. and the troops? Please, if a "Youtube" was what made you decide then you likely think all the TV ads are 100% facts. ....or you are a troll.
