"Fight the Liberal media" was referring to a poll of Georgia voters only. It was conducted by Rasmussen and posted by RealClearPolitics. McCain has a 10-point lead in Georgia.

No, I don't have a question. However, I want to convey to Mr. Hersh that we appreciate his reporting on the TRUTH!

When I heard in the news last week that Israel wants help from the U.S., in bombing Iran's nuclear facilities I knew we were in trouble! Do we really want World War III?

Our national debt is $10 TRILLION AND THE WAR WITH IRAQ HAS COST, $650 BILLION TO DATE!

PLEASE PEOPLE WAKE UP! We can't continue killing and bombing! Our nation is in danger of bankruptcy.

THE REPUBLICANS ONLY KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE FEAR CARD, JUST LIKE THE PLAYED THE COMMUNIST-WILL-GET-US CARD DURING THE COLD WAR!

WAKE UP AMERICAN DON'T FALL PREY TO LIES AND MISINFORMATION!

@Bob Stephens: probably because Hersh has been saying this stuff for more than 3 years (by my count; maybe longer?), each time indicating the attack is "imminent", and it keeps not happening. I'm not saying he's wrong - it's certainly plausible - but at some point you just stop paying attention to Chicken Little.

    OK REPUBLICAN FEAR MONGERS–ENOUGH ALREADY.
IF INFO IS TRUE, IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN LEAKED TO THE SO CALLED "LIBERAL MEDIA", OBVIOUSLY ,BY A REPUBLICAN FEAR MONGERER.
THREAT OF ANOTHER UNNECESSARY WAR WILL NOT MAKE ME VOTE FOR McCAIN-–QUITE THE OPPOSITE WOULD BE TRUE FOR A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF AMERICANS WHO HAVE BEEN BUSH-WHACKED ENOUGH.
WHY ARE DEMOCRATS AFRAID TO IMPEACH??
    ANYONE?, ANYONE?-PELOSI? WHAT SAY YOU.

Jimmy Velman – you belong to this administration. Your last comment says it all: "we worry about our enemies capabilities to reduce OUR resources..." Since when did all the oil in the Middle Eat become OURS?? What a backward, arrogant thing to say! We use 25% of current world resources today. That needs to stop. Oil is NOT a good reason to go to war – again!

So? Hersh does not know what he is talking about. In his comments he says "I think. . .". So why is this news at all? Why does CNN give such credence to newsmen who support Liberal viewpoints but nothing to the conservative side?

Has the bush administration lost all its marbles. Why in Gods name will they engage Iran in a conflict when our armed forces are up to their eyeballs in Iraq. ??? The Republicans have indeed plunged this nation in the worst quagmire since WW1. What a horrendous legacy George W. will leave office with. Leaving the next administration to sort out their mess. What a President.

Hey "fight the liberal Media" Get lost!
Is that Sean Hannity blogging on here again.
I hate when these right wing racist radicals come up with their own polls conducted between themselves and make it look national.
    Where is your source?
Also, It's obvious that you're racist using "Lynching" to describe your poll.

this criminal government will start another war,and any congressmen/women,should be held accountable for any american deaths that occur, because of it,including any democratic supporters of the effort to subvert iran.the world is fed up with our bully tactics ,and will no longer support us in our efforts to manipulate the middle east, for our own monetary gain.

WHY WOULD THE U.S. ATTACK IRAN WHEN IRAN HAS NEVER ATTACKED ANOTHER COUNTRY? I SIMPLY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS COULD POSSIBLY RESULT IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN A TERRIBLE DISASTER.

    "He claims....."

Yeah? So, CNN, have you investigated his claims? Can you substantiate his claims? Or is this just more of your "Rabble-rousing for ratings and advertising dollars" campaign?

Anyone who believes we haven't already had clandestine ops in Iran ever since 1979 is a fool.

why is it important that Hersh and CNN alert Iran to the fact that this administration is concerned that the country that support the people that gaves us 9/11 have nuclear power and we need to know to what capacity.he is telling them that we are sending covert operations against them. is this not a way to fuel and accelerate a war against Iran justifying their position instead of ours. what country is this Hersh from anyway. is there no more patriotism in this country if a chance for a story is involved. sick sick sick

The nut jobs are trying to start a war with Iran, never mind that it would be a losing fight unless we instituted the draft. It will ensure their guy gets elected.

Why do you think that our covert operations are required to be public information, do you realize that people outside the United States follow our news (including Iran) and how does it feel to compromise our security?

I'd like to know what his sources are. What are his reasons for coming to this conclusion? Conspiracy theories and rumor mills have been active for the last 4 years about Bush starting a new war with Iran, but most have lacked credibility. Why is this one different?

After the fabrication this administration concocted to get us into Iraq is there really any doubt as to the validity of Mr. Hersh's accusations? I suspect he is spot-on.
Alas, I won't be submitting a question for Mr. Hersh, though. I must be terribly old-fashioned. I don't have a movie camera. I don't have a camera or microphone on my computer. To the best of my knowledge, my cell phone does not have that capability. And, really, I don't have a burning desire to see a grainy video clip of myself shown on national TV. I would be more than satisfied to let Wolf read any question I might have.

    Hersh is an idiot!

He gets a tidbit of information and then does not do all of the homework to find out if it is even remotely true.

Those tabloids are always the same, and they kind of sound like the main stream media these days.

After all only about 5% of reporters are doing their jobs correctly these days!!
