The attack on McCain's service today hurt me deeply. I just dont see why Obama would send his surrogates out on this type of street fight mission. I honor my father and all the American fathers and grandfathers who made it possible by coalition of American to give me and my children the freedoms that we have today. My father was a great man, father and grandfather. He used to joke that he was a vetran of two wives and two wars, slightly disabled by both. He also worked best when his back was against the wall, he went on after his service and became a CEO, a poet and an Inventor. There are currently six manufacturing patents in the Aerospace Industry that his family holds and continues for him in his honor. His latest unlaunced invention before his demise was an Oil Spill Recovery System, I Plan to launch it for him. I will be voting for McCain!

There's a big difference between giving orders and executing orders. McCain only executed orders he received during his vietnam service. Undoubtedly he did tactical planning for the missions he flew.

That sort of experience is VERY different from the strategic thinking a President must do. And even then, it largely comes down to asking the right questions of the Pentagon. Lets face it, the President isn't sitting in the Oval Office , drawing up battle plans. The President determines whats to be done, the DoD develops the plans on HOW to do it, then teh president approves or disapproves of those plans.

McCain admonishes Obama for wanting to talk to the Iranian government, but he himself collaborated with the enemy with whom we were at war. Isn't what he did much worse than just talking to someone with whom we are trying to prevent going to war?

Alot of you are saying you can't vote for Obama because he flip flops..... and that is a reasonable argument about his stance on issues. Fair enough. Now let's look at it with a little logic, ok. If you went on a road trip, printed out by Mapquest ( or your GPS) and WAY down the road you found out you got incorrect information and you are going the wrong direction ( you are lost), would you turn around or be like Chris Columbus and "search for the east by sailing west"? Well I would turn around... If Bush and Mccain take a position and they found out it is wrong they will never change course. AMERICANS WAKE UP, you must change course if you are headed the wrong direction. Flip flopping to get to the correct solution shouldn't be a crime..... We make it a crime and see what happen, the economy suffers. Bush was so scared of going back on his word............ NOW WE SUFFER. Is this why you need Mccain?

Obviously you are NOT the vet you claim to be, or you would recognize that the medal worn by Col. Day is in fact THE MEDAL OF HONOR!!

It is not the civilian award Medal of Freedom, as you, in your ignorance, believe.

Col. Day, by the way, is the most decorated member of our armed services since Douglas MacArthur. You probably don't recognize that name, either.

It is judgment that makes a leader and the record is clear: on 95% of the issues (by McCain's own words – check out YouTube if you don't believe me), McCain aligned himself with George W. Bush. Sorry, but you cannot hide that fact just because Bush has the lowest approval ratings in history!

McCain has surrendered his principles for the sake of running. As an independent, I look forward to voting for Barack Obama in November.

Bud Day is a disgrace to The Medal of Honor.

John McCain was awarded 1-1/2 medals for every hour he was in actual combat. (28 medals for 20 hours)

"He (McCain) hasn't been there and ordered the bombs to fall. He hasn't seen what it's like when diplomats come in and say, 'I don't know whether we're going to be able to get this point through or not,' .

Schieffer noted that Obama did not have any of those experiences either nor has he "ridden in a fighter plane and gotten shot down."

"Well, I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president," Clark said.

So you see he was replying to the insinuation by Schieffer that "getting shot down" qualifies you to be President, not questioning McCain's service or patriotism.

Unfortunately, we live in a "sound-bite", "take it out of context" world and the media is largely responsible. Hopefully, people are waking up - but I doubt it.
