I cant believe that mccain ran ads on those web sites to begin with.
I think the people who run those ads think like hitler and are ran by the
same people who voted for hillary because Rush limbrugh (or whatever his name is) told them too. They are not independent and
were never democrates but always were republician swiftboaters.

Michelle, let me first say that I can tell you're one of the Obama camp's overeducated supporters. How can I tell? Your superb grasp of the English language! "pissed off" ..."move up there primaries." Stellar language skills!
As for Democrats uniting, has it ever occurred that we democrats that will not support Obama in the fall have reasons other than being angry? We question Obama's motives and sincerity. We believe that Obama has his own best interest at heart and not the best interest of the nation. Obama reminds us too much of G.W. Bush, he is running on nothing but arrogance and rhetoric, much as Bush did in 2000. We will not support a candidate we don’t believe in just because he is of our party. Sorry, some of us don’t care to be lemmings and jump off a cliff just because others do. We will sit back and enjoy the show. And if Obama wins and surprises us by showing us he is able to lead, we may support him in 2012. For now my motto is “anyone but Obama!”

Clinton supporters are voting for McCain for a variety of reasons. I don't believe any woman who was voting for Hillary because she is a woman would vote for McCain, if they are that's not the reason they voted for Hillary. I believe these people are voting based on brand name, not issues. They knew the Clinton name and now are more familiar with McCain's name. Some people say it's trust. Of those people what is it you trust. You trust the republicans to get us out of the mess their policies have created. You trust McCain even though he's changed his position seemingly to appeal to the far right. It's ok to change your mind but these are things he proportedly staunchly believed in. I think it has more to do with you don't trust Obama because of his name, his race, or his "lack of experience." What kind of experience are you looking for? Our foriegn policy guru's have really hit the nail on the head lately. So have the economic advisers who created the mortgage mess. So have the greedy politicians who sold out to big oil.

to all of the hillary or noone crew: shut up and sit down, everyone is tired of your blab, do what you feel you must and stop yelping about it.
to all of the obnoxious obama herd: shut up and sit down, everyone is tired of your endless arrogance, your slander, and your name calling.
we the people are free to vote for whomever we choose. we choose based on beliefs, ethics, judgement, character, honor, integrity, and whether we think this person will be the best for the job. if we do not support obama it is not because we are racist, stupid, or uneducated. if we dont support clinton it isnt because we are arrogant, elitist, sexists. we support the candidate we believe in and we will not change our minds just because you called us names again. in fact the more names you call us the less we like your candidate.

George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt,...George W Bush(ahem)..., and now his disciple John McCain. Truly the greatest leaders to ever grace the halls of the White House.
If you don't believe that your candidate belongs on this list don't waste your vote. Elect a smart leader that could make it onto this list.
Vote wisely USA!

Thank you McCain for being a very honorable man! Just be yourself and the American people who have their eyes open will appreciate you.
For once, I have not seen McCain mentioning Rezko. Maybe McCain is too nice to run this campaign.

Why doesn't cnn cover some of the disgusting attitudes of the obama supporters on all the blogs and you tube comments, and everywhere else. McCain supporters at least aren't threatning and seem to know more about their candidate. Some of the obama people seem to think their voting for american idol or rooting for a sports team. And their not only arrogant, but rude, and continue to attack hillary supporters. If hillary supporters want to be stupid and beleive what they beleive, let them do it. its called freedom of speech and opinion. why do they blame the mccain campaign?

Also, how about covering how the obama camp is paying people to stand by the computer all day and retort anyones opinion that isn't in favor of obama. Isn't that a little manipulative, and misleading.

Obama is an unbelievable candidate but pretends to be this candidate of change, but behind the scenes he gets his campaign to do all the dirty work.

Chicosez, just because someone voted for Obama does not make them new to the "party". I'm a lifelong dem like you and made a clear choice for Obama. The reason the Supers went with Obama is because they or their constituents wanted to do so. (Note that not all the Supers went to Obama. Some endorsed Clinton.) The reality is that it was a close primary and Sen. Obama came out on top. And don't even start with MI and FL; we all know that Sen. Clinton suddenly became interestd in those states AFTER Super Tuesday when her campaign showed the first signs of trouble. Stay or leave the "party". It's entirely up to you.

That our nation's still afraid

Yet Droops in Dismay
Oer the land of the sheep(in that we blindly follow anything we hear)
And the home of the afraid.

Comparing Obama to Hitler is ridiculous and spiteful. The similarity is that both "inspired a cult-like following"? Why don't we just compare Elvis, or the Beatles, or the Pope, for that matter, to Hitler, for their zealous followers? Highly educated people can see right through the tactics that the republican/conservative smear machine is using-- high emotion-evoking terms and comparisons that confuse and warp sensible thought. It is a shame that Americans allow themselves to be manipulated in this way.

What's really funny is that McCain's political views are more equivalent to Democrats than BO's very left wing, liberal views. Yet Democrats aren't looking at political views, they're looking at race. I hope the country soon opens their eyes to the views than to the race. And for anyone who calls the Republicans racist, who freed the slaves? You'll find Abraham Lincoln (a Republican) did.

It's funny how during the primaries Obama supporters were saying that Hillary was so much different from Obama on issues and represented old Washington politics, but now that they want Hillary's supporters to support Obama they are saying that Hillary and Obama political issues are the same. Who do you think you are fooling? Nothing New or Fresh here. Obama = same old Washington politics.

"A recent post on the blog outlined the 'simple parallels' between Obama and Hitler, and accused Obama's audiences of having the same cult mentality that characterized followers of the German dictator."

This is probably the most honest statement made recently regarding Obama and his non-thinking followers. Although "cult mentality" with regard to Obama followers is probably a bit of an understatement.

This OPINION is based entirely on the silliness displayed on CNN by said Obama supporters. The typical post is lacking in any critical thought and usually includes immature name calling such as "McBush" or other nonsense.

Hillary Clinton has become the nation's 3rd choice for President when she should have been the nation's 1st choice. Nonetheless, you can still vote her in by printing her name as a write-in candidate on your November ballot. Clinton got skewed and screwed while Obama was the beneficiary of her trash and bash. Thanks to media men who control the news organizations such as CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS, NBC. we now have an inflated smiley faced Obama that we have to hear all about as if he has now become the authority on everything. Women should be outraged.

ML:

The problem with reading BO's policies is that they are "just words".

He has NEVER done anything while in office....mostly because his current office was nothing more than a VERY temporary stepping stone to his next audatious move. He has NO track record of backing up any of his promises. He is a puppet, saying whatever is necessarry to cater to the current direction the wind is blowing. For those of you who are voting for him ONLY because he promises to bring the troops out of Iraq, don't hold your breath. He's already started to waffle big time on that. This election is about a complex web of issues. You'd better base your vote on proven track record instead of a list of promises.

Just let him sit there in his flip-flops and finish his waffle. Then he'll get right back to serving up another hearty portion of "just words".

I love how some of the Clinton supporters forget that Obama got 17,869,542 votes in the primaries. Although I don't agree, I do understand the feelings about Florida and Michigan. But be pissed off at your state legislator for breaking the rules. The DNC and Obama did not make Michigan or Florida move up there primaries.

hey Sean from Canada
you are quoting from McCain's strategy not obama, he wanted to pull them out unconditionally as soon as he got into office within 16 months. of course like every thing else about him it's borrowed strategy just like the ones he took from Clinton. now tell me this when he pulls the troops out and al-qaeda returns and he sends the troops back in what will you Canadians do with the deserters who won't go back give them refuge like you do now. how do you work that out, one American deserter allowed for every Canadian killed fighting in Afghanistan

That is a gracious move on McCain's part but McCain needs to check himself regarding offensive remarks. McCain fundraiser statement about Hamas supporting Obama was completely out of line.

Clark's statement about McCain military service was nothing compared to what McCain suggested about Hamas's support for Obama.

TO "Clinton, no, wait, McCain Supporter":

If you were a Clinton supporter you would be interested in protecting the rights that I highlighted in my blog. McCain is not. Period. That's your answer -- smart people vote based on the issues that they care about. If you want to be pathetic and bitter, vote for McCain, and watch those rights disappear. If you wanted Hillary to win, you should vote for Obama. Its that simple.

Does that clear things up?

K-Wrap! CCN, why didn't you publish my last post? All I said was a word that starts with C and rythmes with map. Wel I don't want to right the same thing all over so briefly, Ex-Clinton supporter now for McCain are about as selfish as you can get and screwing the country worse than it is now just because your candidate did not get the nomination is very, very immature and you know it is.

Second, why can't the Republicans try and win the election on actual issues and not Clinton -Type Kitchen Sink strategies filled with word twisting, hate and fear. I hope the rest of the country sees Obama is already doing the change he speaks of by not doing the personal destruction, smear, lie, tactics of his major opponants thus far. That's is what he means by change. We are sick of the dirty negative politics Republican excel at and we want that to change.

I wouldn’t go so far as to compare Obama with Hitler but his followers DO have the same cult mentality that characterized followers of the German dictator.

I hope Obama gets back to his HOPE message and quits defending himself for others comments. It is a free country, so I have understood, and he is running a great campaign. Those Hillary supporters are so angry and put so much negative energy into a lost cause. Why don't you direct your attention to help the flood victims, Katrina victims, the children of Darfur and Sudan.. Obama fought clean and won. Your vote for McCain will lose Hillary a plum job in Obama's cabinet.. wake up people..MCcain wins your Hillary ends up back on the Senate floor!

Why would the American People vote for someone who could keep us in Iraq for "100 years if necessary" ? Bring the troops home Obama: Carefully and according to the timetable that the troop commanders on the ground advise.
Why does everyone in a room with McCain look so miserable? Is it becaus they know he Represents a thrid "Bush" term?

Chico. Good Riddance. Your candidate lost. Get over it. She lost in superdelegates, and regular delegates, or maybe you don't believe in that side of it, like i'm sure you don't believe in caucus states.

It is a true statement that Hitler made great speeches which brought him to power in Germany. And it is a true statement that Obama makes great speeches that might bring him to power in America.

Hitler had an idea about how the world should work and acted on it. Obama has an idea about how the world should work and is trying to act on it.

Make whatever judgement you want about other similarities but those are historically factual statements.

Um, Ted that can be said for about half our presidents. No the fact remains, Hitler gave speeches filled with hate and blame. Obama gives speeches filled with ideas and issues. And your other "factual statement" is ridiculous, I have an idea how the world should work and I'm trying to act on it, so now I'm Hitler (keep in mind half my family died in the Holocaust). NO candidate (McCain or Obama) is anything CLOSE to Hitler. To say that is spitting on all the graves that Hitler produced. My family was closely divided between Obama and Hillary, but now that Obama is the nominee EVERYONE is voting for him. Not because we are "Obamites" but because we read their policies which are almost exactly the same. Please people think of your ancestors when writing such hateful comments!

It's very obvious Hillary's supporters on those disgusting websites ONLY supported her because she is a woman. Nothing more. They obviously cared nothing for her policies and beliefs, nothing! Let them vote McCain, we don't need them.

I refuse to believe there are enough of these small-minded, vindictive women out there ready to set back the feminist movement by decades to make even one iota of a difference in the general election. Obama will win and their lives will be better for it despite themselves.
