Fist bump not gone?

Barack Obama and wife Michelle bump fists on June 3.
Barack Obama and wife Michelle bump fists on June 3.

(CNN) - Rest assured America, perhaps Barack Obama has not abandoned his signature fist bump.

It appears Tuesday's pool report - widely reported by several media outlets, including CNN - that Obama refused to bump fists with a child in Ohio was incorrect.

A review of the tape shows the child was instead asking Obama to sign his hand, but the presumptive Democratic nominee declined.

Watch: Obama doesn't decline bumping fists

"Mom might not be happy when she comes home," Obama said. "She'll be like, 'What is the dirt on your hand?'

Weird how some people in the previous story about obama not indulging in the fist bump started spewing hate, calling him arrogant etc, etc......is it not time that people stopped pinning stupid labels on him and started seeing him for a person who is genuinely respected and liked across the world and is actually good for america.

I'm sure the media will learn its lesson here...oh wait, this is reality. My mistake.

That's what happens when an actual news investigation is not done. A report is made without checking things out- It's something to be the first to break the story, but it's something else to always report a factual investigated story. Something Tim Russert always called for.

I know this won't get posted- so whatevs!

Apparently, the election turns on what people think about greeting gestures, cookie recipes and flag pins. Let's get back to oil prices and Iraq please.

PUMA-Einsteins really seem to love this “throwing under a bus” analogy; in reference to the first ‘fist bump’ article, as well as previous ones. Someone should throw the PUMA-Einsteins under a bus. Stop the bus. Back up the bus. And drive over the PUMA-Einsteins a second time with the bus.

All of you haters are quiet now. How about an apology to your future president for the comments that you made about him.

For the love of everything we hold dear, WHY are we getting these incorrect articles. CNN, you really should APOLOGIZE to Barack, on the SUPPOSED FIST BUMP!

When you read this morning's two articles on POLLS, and now add to that THIS ERROR IN REPORTING BARACK REFUSED TO GIVE FIST BUMP TO A CHILD. I am really beginning to wonder about cnn.

It would be far more helpful if major media outlets, including CNN, took the time to get the story right before reporting instead of rushing to be the first one with a story!!!

The fist bump has been around for quite some time and shows his youth. We need a fresh attitude in the white house and Obama is the man!

Old school is out it's time to start a new season.

Well gosh I am SO glad the fist bump is NOT gone. If Obama would have stopped that because of media chatter I would have thought he was doomed and would simply cow-tow everytime the media got their thing going.

    Keep on bumpin!

This kind of artical just goes to show how immature and childish so much of this Dem. campagien has become. Looks like that is what their voters will also be in Nov. Uninformed , young and following a pied piper.

And we're back to fist bumping...

You're sure there isn't any REAL news going on in the world? How about biofuel's impact on deforestation in South America? Or American carmaker's inability to compete in a changing marketplace?

And once again this is why I type econo...into my browser and leave this so-called "news" site

All the folks from the previous blog about the fist bump, who ridiculed and blasted the man, should get on here and be man/woman enough to say "I am sorry for my comments. I spoke before getting the facts."

Of course you can hide on the internet, so I bet this will not happen.

This is my problem with some sectors of our society. We talk without good information and when we're wrong, we cannot step up and I say, " I was wrong".

No wonder you get the government you have. They are products of the society and there is no one to blame except you.

CNN please don't put yourself in the position of having to reverse rediculous articles like the two of these. It doesn't look good.

This seemed like a silly thing to talk about in the first place and to think that you had to come back and make a correction on what actually happened is worse.

There are actually people who think this superficial stuff has some significance.
