Obama over fist bumping?

Barack Obama and wife Michelle famously fist bumped when the Illinois senator captured the Democratic nomination.
Barack Obama and wife Michelle famously fist bumped when the Illinois senator captured the Democratic nomination.

(CNN) - Is Obama ditching his signature fist bump?

According to Tuesday's press pool report, the Illinois senator refused to bump fists with a boy as he was touring the Eastside Community Ministry in Zanesville, Ohio.

As the boy outstretched his first, Obama said no and added, "If I start that ..."

His voice then trailed off.

The presumptive Democratic presidential candidate popularized the move last month when he and his wife Michelle bumped fists on the night he formally captured the party's presidential nomination.

Watch: The famous fist bump

Video of the duo fist bumping became widely popular on the internet, leading the Washington Post to declare it “the first bump heard ‘round the world.'”

    He is 100% unelectable.
He will NEVER be president of this country.

How effective can he be as President in dealing with world leaders when he can't even control his own advisers like Wesley Clark who was forced out of the military during the Clinton Administration.

Obama has lost it. He was so great during the primaries, and ever since he won that he's been LAME. He's acting like Hillary now, doing anything and everything to get elected. Even if it's ridiculous. I don't like it.

Still, he's better than McCain. *sigh*

The caption over Michelle should read..."boy we really pulled one over on these buffoons....can you believe we're getting away with this?"

Barack, keep the hand bump going. That's the price you pay for being famous. I'm sorry, but you have to own the hand bump from now on. Don't be afraid of it, enjoy it.

Why should he? All you angry people want to do, is make everything dirty and find fault. All you angry people get a life and quit being judgmental and opionated.

Yet another example of Obama having no real leadership capabilities, even when it comes to his own innoccous behavior. He is a totally scripted, focus-group tested candidate to the nth degree.

Let's dismiss these phoney baloney imposter candidates and get someone who is his own person!

Did you not see McCain's 'presidential' seal? TJ: nothing about Barack is pitiful. He is presidential since his convention speech of 2004. We will be very lucky to have him as our leader.

Barack, don't put the kabosh on the fist bump. You only temporarily popularized it. If some people get jazzed behind it, that's their problem. You shouldn't have distanced yourself from Wesley Clark's statement either. He was spot on! Please, please be yourself, that's what we're buying.

Why is their coverage on this? If McCain stops saying "my friends..." during his speeches, will there be a news item on that, too? And he is not my friend!

So he does a fist-bump w/ Jimmy Kimmel on national TV, his wife greets all the silly women of The View w/ a fist bump, but Sen. Obama now refuses the fist-bump greeting w/ a boy and leaves him hangin?? I guess someone told him it is no longer politically expedient. This man is incredible.

Whoops I must have typed fauxnews.com into my browser. I know CNN isnt reporting on a non-news story like this just like the initial "terrorist fist-jab" which was also not a story.

It would be nice to focus on things that actually matter in people's lives like maybe the war or the economy or education. Instead, we are constantly bombarded with whether Hilary and Obama had water or tea at their private meeting, whos flag pin was the largest and how Obama and Michelle wish each other luck. Congrats CNN for keeping us informed of useless nonsense.
