By President Bush going to China, it means he doesn't care granting legitamacy to China's Government which has been documented giving weapons to the people perpetuating the GENOCIDE in darfur. You know the genocide that's been going on the last few years that even President Bush himself called a genocide? Not to mention Tibet, and their humans rights violations against their own people. But I can't say I came blame lame-duck Bush for going, it takes one to know one. He has presided over countless human rights violoations such as Guantamano Bay tortures, and the war in Iraq to name a few. Human suffering doesn't seem to factor in either China's or our own country's decisions.
I'm also surprised there aren't more comments on this, but it is in a very small and hidden place on the ticker.
I am also sure CNN won't publish this, I have to dumb down my comments lest you dare allow intellegent discourse on your prized ticker.

Bush can take Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, John McCain and a few unnamed others with him and never return. But I don't want bad relations with China making them think we just want to dump our garbage in their country they might call all their duckies in which we can't pay.

More easing of World tensions by Bush. It's clear he is pulling the rug out under McCain's major campaign hope. ...on the road to detente with North Korea, talks expected with Iran after European talks work out the nuclear issue, peace in Iraq, cell phones in Cuba.
If he liked McCain, he would be manufacturing some crisis and terror for his buddy.
(((To put things in persective,,, imagine you had ONLY two choices for president, - Bush? or McCain? who would you choose?...
things that mame you go hmmmm.... somebody should do a poll)))

Gee surprise, surprise! I mean he started a war for oil and has let thousands of soldiers die from his own country.. why in heaven's name would he ever make a stand for human rights in China!! The man is a brainless slug and his popularity is so low nothing can save his legacy now. What a loser he is.
I just can't believe the Olympics Commitee gave the games to China at all. All the human rights violations and the pollution! My gosh the athletes will all be having asthma attacks.

An unjust war criminal attending the Olympics hosted by other unjust war criminals.. can't really say that I'm shocked. I for one will never watch a second of the Olympics while they are in China. It's a travesty.

Of course, Bush should attend. He did not want to isolate U.S. from the world. How many country leaders have expressed desire not to attend? I can only name a few: France, Germany, and a couple of other Europe countries. Do these countries represent the world? Of course, not. U.K. leader must be there at closing ceremony because they are the next host country. So it is hard for Mr. Brown from U.K. to be there at both openning and closing ceremonies.

In any case, the world goes on with or without the U.S. Please do not just think U.S. is the world. Mr. Bush had that view before and he has learnt a lesson.

May be he can ask the chinese to fogive our trillion dolor debt, just like he pleaded with the Saudi Oil barons to pump more oil. this GOP idiots would understand only money, money, money. Thease GOP neocons have no sence of humanity (Bogus relegious fanatics).

Vote GOP if it is Ok to have
49 million american's without health care insurance.
We spend 15% of the GDP on health care ( next is Canada with 7.8%), but have mortality stats 23 in the world ! Yeah, tell this to the GOP NeoCons. They will say, Saudis and others come to our country to get health care. All the while U.S citizens go shopping in Canada and Mexico to get cheaper prescription drugs, and have to choose to buy food or paying medical bills.

McCain will never understand this. Why ?
He has
1) Medicare
2) Millitary Health Care insurance
3) Senate Health Care
4) Insurance from his spouces 5$ bil Booze industry

He wants Health Care to be market driven. Tell this to the 49million uninsured. Health Care is a right, not a commodity. Ours is the only country where third parties ( Insurance carries, drug cartels) profits from deneing claims to the needy sick patients.

It's hypocritical to condemn Iraq's dictator, Hussein, for killing a huge number of people when Bush is perfectly ok with being chummy with China's dictator. By the way China has killed the most people this year, more than ANY country. Hmmmm

Obama just said he is rethinking the withdrawl of US troops from Iraq. Another politican who will say anything to get elected. I wonder if Move-On was consulted about this? Guess Not!
_____________________________________________________ So are you 1) an idiot who doesn't understand the spoken word 2) a moronic mccainite who can only distort what Obama said but not refute it or 3) a moronic clintonista who will twist and lie like their goddess to make obama seem bad? It must be one of the three because he has NEVER stepped away from his 16 months to 2 years statement.. good try though! NOT!! the lies and distortions will be corrected!

does somebody want to explain why you idiots voted this moron in not once but twice? I voted against him both times because it was apparent to me that he did n9ot have the best interest of world freedom and America in his heart, to go to the bejing opening ceremonies, to publically suck up to a despotic state is just wrong. I guess maybe if we ahd not mortgaged our future to fight an illegal, immoral and unjust war in Iraq we could tell China NO! but since we did, and oyu idiots are responsible for letting him do it, we have to go suck up to the Communist.. good job IDIOTS!

**** BREAKING NEWS ****

President Bush is secretly a spy for the Russian government. Created by a program known as "Red State,” the current president has been under communist control since the early 80's. Red State has worked out to be the single largest espionage effort by a former communist country that has actually been successful.

The plan, destroy the image of the United States, divide its people, kill off its image as a strong military presence, cripple it's economy and the will of American patriotism.

Fact: President Bush has had a long lasting friendship since he took office with a former KGB agent; the gentleman in question, Vladimir Putin, was the original architect of "Red State." Mr. Putin, also the former president of the Soviet Union, has been working behind the scenes with other communist governments to overthrow the USA when they looked their weakest. The other countries include, China, Venezuela, and North Korea. Unfortunately, North Korea has folded to pressure and the result is the rise of an unlikely Russian ally, Iran.

Don't be fooled fellow Americans we cannot let the continued communist influence in our government be the death of our great Nation.

Bush and McBush together in China! What a hoot! McBush simply can't shuck his 95% voting record for Bush. He is tied to the disasters within our economy: gasoline and energy price spiraling, unemployment, mortgage scandal and many more issues. He is also responsible for military strategy that has failed in spite of heroic measures and actions by our tropps. Five years Bush stated "Mission Accomplished!" Where is Osama Bin Laden? Captured? Are we safer from terrorists than before 9/11? How many more thousands of US troops must die and tens of thousands wounded before Bush and McBush admit they lied to go to war against Iraq so George could get pay back for his dad not finsihing his Iraqi War? Are you safer now as you were eight years ago? Are you better off financially now than eight years ago?

I wonder if this has anything to do with the recent delivery of food to Korea over the nuke removal? I'm sure that China was intricately involved with that effort. Korea is broke, but I'm sure it was pressure from China that led them to the agreement. I may hate Bush, but this does seem to have been a success and he owes China for the help. I'm sick over the China atrocities, but understand that the democrats are playing this, knowing a deal is a deal. They would have made the same deal. They knew this was the deal, and are using it politically. Unfortunately, Bush can't have it both ways. I have to give him props this time, even though I can't stand him. This is the reality of how business is done in the real world. We may not like it, but you have to work with people you don't agree with all the time.

He "claims" to be a rancher. Maybe he might decide to stay there and teach them how to ranch to feed themsleves. Also maybe he might use his greed to get them to start drilling their own oil or let his cronie oil business friends go over there so they can use their own resources. Could he show them the difference in lead paint????
I see that as a great future for him to go over and try to run their country.

I too would criticize China's political and humanitarian record except I know that criticism would better start at home.
The vast majority of American consumers (yes, I'm pointing my finger at YOU) prop up the Chinese economy with their purchases. It results in trade imbalance. China is just the most prominent of such trade deficits, but certainly not the only trade partner. The result is weakened dollar. Yes, it drives down some costs too. But I guess it's the result of our unregulated trade with them. Let the consumer decide!
I also don't think we are in any position right now to criticize China about it's occupation of Tibet. We've illegally invaded another country as well, destroyed its infrastructure and killed thousands upon thousands of their civilians as 'collateral damage.' Until we clean up our act we really are not on the moral high ground to tell others what to do.
I know we like to blame Bush for the latter, but considering the 70+ percentage approval rating of this war in its first year I am sure the public shares a large part of the blame! So start being consistent and blaming China for the world's ills when we ourselves cause enough problems! Only then can we take back our rightful place as the inspiring leader of this world, instead of our current image of a bullying boss.

So start being consistent and blaming China for the world's ills when we ourselves cause enough problems! Only then can we take back our rightful place as the inspiring leader of this world, instead of our current image of a bullying boss.

The Prez boycotting the Olympics maybe that would work as well as Carter's Complete boycott of the Olympics in Russia! Oh wait, that didn't work at all!

If we can't get together every four years for the world's greatest sporting event what chance do we have in "getting together" for anything else?

Ummm...as one of the leaders of the free world, isn't he practically required to show that democracy is better than communism? Snubbing China ain't gonna help the situation. And Bush isn't responsible for selling the US to China. That happened long ago...

We'd better not talk smack about China, otherwise they might call in the hundreds of billions of dollars in debt we owe them!

Of course he'll attend the Beijing Olympics. Bush has nothing but respect and admiration for the Chinese government and their ultra-repressive policies, as well as their atrocious human rights record.
