So, by electing a far left liberal talking about change and complaining a job loss, he will then institute policies similar to europe, where they have a very high unemployment rate because why work when the government can take care of you through taxes.

And YES I would vote for McCain over Obama in the heartbeat. Better have a president with a temper who can stand up and protect us and our country when necessary (that's McCain), than a spineless empty suit who, without preconditions, will negotiate the fate of our country with the tyrants such as Ahmadinejad and Chavez (that's Obama).

2. "At a time when our small businesses need support from Washington, we cannot raise taxes, increase regulation and isolate ourselves from foreign markets." – Who said anything about isolation? We live in a global society that cannot be reversed. And trade deals like NAFTA need to be regulated in America's favor, otherwise we get lead toys from China for example.

3. "These are the same old siren songs that have failed the American people time and time again." – The entire platform you stand on (i.e. Bush tax cuts, privatization of health care, off-shore drilling, no help on education, continuation of the Chinese-funded Iraq war) has been proven a failure. No matter how much you try, 2+2 won't equal 5.

Bring on the debates so Barack can dismantle McCain's baseless argument for all the country to see. A young,brilliant, and coherent top-dog lawyer v. senile, lobbyists-loving, Bush-hugging old coot.

You are correct the economy is bad I think we need to raise taxes......That wont cause small businesses owners to let people go.

I cant complain, I am college educated via way of the millitary did 10 years of sevrvice for my country while getting my Masters Degree and am currently a target for the tax the so called "Wealthy" plan.

Just remember "if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it mean it didn't really fall'? We do not hear you anymore, you are just talking to yourselves.

That is why the DNC and the left wingers worked SO hard to install him as nominee. EVEN an unqualified, ineperienced left wing socialist radical elitist has a running chance in today's political climate.

It was NOW or never for Obama- a country that is in such a bad way that even the worst democrat appears to be better to many people than the best republican.

Winning by default- that is the Obama way since he has no merits and no track record.

Not only is the Republican economy impervious to the plight of regular American families, it is also impervious to the environment. Republicans especially have fought regulation, environmental concerns and safeguards to increase corporate profits. Now we face verifiable global warming irrespective of the health, safety and wellbeing of people–from Katrina victims to tomato lovers. Under the Republican economy in light of all of the foregoing, regular Americans will simply continue to suffer in order to make the filthy rich richer. But, McCain need not worry–he married money.

Cut the losses now with one large dump - fire 72.5% of the federal workforce and reward business for tapping-into "our" talent with real jobs to compete in the global marketplace. That is what I want these candidates to say. (And I believe Ron Paul was on board.) That is how we grow this economy, through innovative businesses, and without government intervention.

All of a sudden it's election year and you'll say anything to get elected.

The only people who can do it are us. But we don't want to! What we want is to shop, shop, shop for the piles of a very cheap stuff we really don't need.
Every time you buy a piece of sophisticated electronics for $29.99 or anything costing 99 cents, ask yourself how this product could be made so cheaply?! Don't want to? Well, don't complain that American jobs go offshore. We are the ones who send them there.

Also under GW Bush the US national debt has gone up from 5.8 to nearly 10 trillion dollars. That is a $4.2 trillion increase in 7.5 years!!!! Under Bill Clinton the national debt only went up $1.6 trillion in only 8 years.

And McCain wants to continue the Bush economic policies? NO THANK YOU!

But, neither one of them proposed any concrete solution to actually fix anything. “…calling on Congress and the President” is not concrete. “…enact a job-first economic plan..” is not concrete either. They are both telling people what they want to here, but which one has real answers?

Americans are loosing good paying jobs to china and india, so in return they are spending less and our economy is weak.

Who the heck said free trade is a good thing. ITS NOT!

Obama's plan will increase taxes, increase inflation, and the national deficit. McCain's plan will cut taxes to the wealthy and increase the national deficit. Obama's plan calls for spending the "War" money at home, but that is borrowed money from China! Obama and McCain BOTH are for NAFTA and WTO. Obama just flopped on renegotiating contracts...McCain will veto every pork barrel bill, which is a start...but how is either candidate going to create jobs if it is more lucrative for corporations to send them overseas?
