Bush heckled during July 4 speech

CNN

Watch protesters interrupt the president's speech.

(CNN) - It's The Fourth of July, but not everyone was in a festive mood when President Bush delivered a speech Thursday at Thomas Jefferson's famous home, Monticello.

The President, who was talking part in Monticello's annual naturalization ceremony, was interrupted several times by protesters.

"War criminal!" one protester repeatedly yelled as she was escorted out by Secret Service members.

"He has brought fascism to this shore," another man yelled.

The president did not appear to acknowledge the protesters.

If they have FREE speech why are they being dragged away?

Bush doesn't like what they said so he sends his henchmen to shut them up. When Americans do not like what Bush says, we are all stuck listening to him.

Bush is the only president in history to bring shame on America by mistreating not only prisoners, but even American citizens.
He has done more harm to America than any other person that has ever lived.

It brings warmth to my heart to see my fellow citizens doing what is right even if it makes them look like they are doing the wrong thing. This President is a Fascist and a War Criminal and deserves to be locked up! I sure hope when Obama does become President that this is the first thing he does in office!

Bush is a WAR CRIMINAL who brings dishonor to our country!
He has done what his Nazi lovin' Grand Parents (HERBERT WALKER and PRESCOTT BUSH had spent the better part of the 20th Century trying to do

BRING A NAZI REGIME TO THE UNITED STATES and SUBVERT THE CONSTIUTION and wipe his Butt on THE BILL OF RIGHTS.

All citizens (especially any one who has sworn to uphold the Constitution) should attempt to arrestr the WAR CRIMINASL BUSH and Chenney and make a scene as the Secret Service escorts you away from the event!

American's need to stand up and oppose this Vichy Goverment...so that the world can see that we stand for the principals that our founding father's belived in enough to risk their very necks for!

Bush is a traitor...and any one who thinks we belong in IRAQ...should go and sign up (no matter if you have served...or if you are too old ,Blackwater will take you.!

Cowardly bastards who want to send some one else over there .....can't speak untill they are in Bagdahd

Like he really cares what people think! Like another person said: SO!

I feel those two individuals pain. Unfortunatly, the powers that be continue to be in control and we must wait 6 more months until they are gone!!!!!!!! Let's hope we do not have a rerun this November!!!!!

Well, they do have a point. This is the president (and lets not forget the vice president also) who gave the thumbs up to torture. I don't like terrorists anymore than the next person, but what that has done is shown we are no better than the terrorists and ruined our reputation worldwide for a long time to come.

  16. Still for Hill but now ONLY for Hill

That is all the Obama people know.

They can not show respect for anyone that disagrees with them.

    They are loudmouthed, demanding bullies.

They stole the democratic nomination that way.

    For the record:
For each of you saying Obama hasn't changed his position I ask you to remember how he mocked Hillary. Obama said her Iraq position of having a measured safe withdraw by not committing to a specific timeline was wrong. Seems he now is saying Hillary was right, and he was wrong. Face it folks you were blinded by his rock star show ignoring his inexperience and his past relationships. Each of you kept giving him the benefit of the doubt, just like so many did for Bush and look where that got us.

    Just say no deal. NObama.

bush extolling free speech? and at the home of the greatest president this country ever had..the author of the declaration which we celebrate today! TJ would be turning over in his grave if he knew this moron was speaking at HIS home on this day!! don't know if it was lost on the media, but did anyone, seeing the video of those calling this moron to account for the 4114 young americans he sent to their deaths in his mercenary war on Iraq for Oil (I say 'oil' because ALL other reasons he gave for this action have since been discredited and oil (ironically the only reason this moron's regime hasn't cited) is, by default, the ONLY one that remains..he has no original thoughts..was being heckled and didnt for a second deviate from those who tell him what to say. Hitler in poland, the Moron in Iraq...no difference.

GOOD! As much as Bush wants to stop it, we still have the right to free speech. I'm glad someone used it this 4th of July.

The days of the Bush presidency are numbered. Maybe, by next 4th of July the gift to our country will be that Bush is brought up on charges as a war criminal.

OBAMA 08 & 12 God Bless America (and everyone else too).

He needs to be heckled. Well under 200 days until he leaves the WH. I was looking forward to that but now with these 2 candidates I don't think its going to be any better with Obama flip flopping on everything and McCain being a Republican. Gosh we need Hillary more than ever.

I love how they showed one protester being hauled off while the moron we have as president is saying "in America we believe in freedom of speech! " I am actually offended by that idiot giving a speech about independence when he has taken our freedoms from us! The Fascist regime of the Bush administration should not make speeches about what they don't support! He has committed treason against the people of these United States and the country! He should have never been president because the people didn't vote him in, the supreme court did! I say impeachment is long over due and he should be tried for treason and war crimes!
