(CNN) - It's The Fourth of July, but not everyone was in a festive mood when President Bush delivered a speech Thursday at Thomas Jefferson's famous home, Monticello.
The President, who was talking part in Monticello's annual naturalization ceremony, was interrupted several times by protesters.
"War criminal!" one protester repeatedly yelled as she was escorted out by Secret Service members.
"He has brought fascism to this shore," another man yelled.
The president did not appear to acknowledge the protesters.

I believe in free speach... but the hateful disrespect that Obama inspires in his followers reminds me of Germany and Hitler.
Free Speech in America? I guess not.
Soon we'll have to get the secret service to wear red arm bands... we should also think about renaming homeland security to fatherland security while we're at it.
Honestly America, can't you see what the Republicans are doing to you?
In the land of free speech, only in America will you be escorted out if you don't agree.
A Bushel and a Peck, and a Hug around the Neck! I thought this was the big day, of the USA...
Lock Bush up at Guantanamo – let the folks there give him a taste of what he authorized for them.
bush should be charged for war crimes and putting America to this very difficult economic situation
I love it when Bush says we have "free speech" in this country as the shock troops carry away the protesters!
A vote for McCain is a vote for the rising wave of facism that Bush and his sick band of criminal friends brought to this nation!
That man needs to know all the way to the end of his presidency (thank God) that he is a disgrace.
He should be begging for our forgiveness. He LIED to WE THE PEOPLE and now over 4,000 of our soldiers have died.
His daughter said that she may not vote for McCain. There just may be a smarter bush.
Does anyone want to listen to anything the man has to say? Not Hardly! No More Bush & No More McShame. OBAMA FOR PRES 08
I agree with the protestors who were brave enough to verbally expose this 'president' for what he is. He should face impeachment hearings as proposed by Dennis Kucinich.
Happy freakin' Independence day Bush.
McSame better get used to hearing it every time he speaks too. We've let this country go long enough. It's time to hold these people accountable. First heckling and/or protesting, next war crime tribunal and other courts for all of the laws broken.
I am thoroughly apalled at what George Bush has done as president, and heartily ashamed of the direction this country has taken during his tenure. But I still believe the office of President (if not the man) should be respected... and to disrupt the president's speech, and mar this day of celebration for the new citizens, was a disgrace.
bush and mcbush get heckled everywhere they go.that's what they get for using our nation for personal and illegal gains.i hope they are imprisoned for their terrorist actions in iraq.
there is nothing wrong with your country. every country is going throught hard time, life is not easy, sometimes its rough sometimes its rosy.you americans dont realize how lucky you are.most of you are just spoilt.
Bush should be impeached – he will be forever known as the worst president ever to step foot in the white house. Words cannot describe my disgust with that man.....
Obama put them up to it
Then he can disapprove it in public and look nice.
I'm sure Thomas Jefferson couldn't be more proud to have America's worst-ever president deliver a July 4th speech at Monticello. I'm pretty sure he'd have been the loudest protester.
Hey at, as far as your comment is concerned, do you have any sons or daughters serving or have served in Iraq? I'm guessing not.
Great! Now we need Barack to win the election!
Obama '08
Isn't freedom swell?
Some of you people need to travel to other countries- then you will know what we have- no matter who is president- is so much better than any other country.
hm how convinient that she happens to be black looks like another obama-nazi trying to get their 15 minutes of fame. every obama supporter wanto be famous lol what a joke she should be standing next to BUSH, cause all she did was make herself look like a fool. not surprising .
Many Americans who are now most opposed to the Iraq war, were the very same ones who supported it.
Not me.
But I don't call anyone a war criminal.
Maybe we should call 80% of Americans that for their early support?
Saga4 Obama learn how to spell. You are a liberal idiot.
heckling is child's play....Bush should be charged for war crimes!
