Bush heckled during July 4 speech

CNN

Watch protesters interrupt the president's speech.

(CNN) - It's The Fourth of July, but not everyone was in a festive mood when President Bush delivered a speech Thursday at Thomas Jefferson's famous home, Monticello.

The President, who was talking part in Monticello's annual naturalization ceremony, was interrupted several times by protesters.

"War criminal!" one protester repeatedly yelled as she was escorted out by Secret Service members.

"He has brought fascism to this shore," another man yelled.

The president did not appear to acknowledge the protesters.

Typical democrats, those who can not get over Clintons impeachment. Why can't these idiots cerebrate the 4th like most americans. Get over it , there are only a few months left when we get a "real ringer" to lead us. Have to admit it though, he has outsmarted congress and all the liberals.

Why does these people always fall under the Democratic Party wing of the nation? Maybe the Democratic Party should be renamed the Type-A personality party? I mean seriously folks, it's the 4th of July, lighten up. We are still one nation, so let's enjoy the holiday.

To those hecklers who disrupt other's free speech: please shut up! No one cares what you think. Have your own events to say what you want; I promise to stay away and let you speak.

The very fact that a heckler would dare to call Bush a fascist proves that he isn't! Dissent is healthy, and many legitimate criticisms can be leveled at the Bush administration, but let's be real.

If there is REAL free speech? Why are they being dragged by the police?!

Free speech is more like a joke these days!

Anyone notice the parallels between King George I and King George II?

Both claimed victory with the sword and left office failing to provide bread and butter.

Yes, it's the economy stoopit, but I doubt Geogie knows how much a loaf of bread costs.

I look forward to a new president that can complete a three word sentence without stammering.

I don't understand how these morons get into events like this in the first place. The real funny part is they will be at the Dem convention protesting and I fully expect(praying also) that there will be riots so people can see just how whacked out the left is in this country. We are going to have reliable allies in the middle east thanks to Bush's polices. Did I mention we haven't been attacked since 911? Bush has done a great job as president. Food and gas are high to do the extreme left not Bush.

Anyone disrupting a presidential speech in that way would be removed regardless of who is president.

If more people spent time learning to write effectively and correctly, they would make better arguments instead of leaving no doubt to their idiocy in the hate-filled ramblings they leave behind.

To bad they aren't shipped over to the Middle East. Then let the spoiled bratts get a taste of real suppression of speech. Bush has set a strategy that resulted in zero attacks on the homeland since 9/11. This is like calling Truman a fascists because he kept the war going to finish off the Axis powers. Liberals are all mouth and no brains!!!!!

I'm sorry America, for the road not taken these last eight years by our President and Congress. Forever changing our country's landscape, our right to celebrate our hard-won Independence Day with pride.

Let us remain faithful however to our women and men in the military. They remain in harms way even as we speak.

Please bring our troops safely home.

Bush went to war – who approved it? Congress
    Bush signed the Patriot Act.
    Who approved it? Congress
In the first six years of his administration gas went up a
dollar– what changed in the past 2 years to cause the price of gas to double in that amount of time? Congress

If those of you who believe that the President is a War Criminal – what does that leave the members of Congress who voted to go?

and yea – the lying thing -if that were true – why did some congressmen like Jay Rockerfeller say that there was not enough information to go to war- In other words - if he lied – why did so many people say that the US should not go to war?

Those of you who are claiming that the US is now a terrible plac e-you miss the whole irony of this post – they disrupped a ceremony to bring in New Citizens.... if we are so horrible – why are they having such a problem processing the paperwork for all of the people who want to become Americans?

Unbelievable and extremely disturbing. If some of you folks REALLY want to see a Nazi/Fascist, just look in the mirror. And while your at it, maybe you can come up with a "Final Solution" to the Republican problem.

How come liberals define 'freedom of speech' as 'silencing and outshouting everyone they disagree with?'

Bush is a deeply sick and insane man.

For those of you who so easily invoke "Hilter" this and "Fascism" that, there is no way that this compares to such atrocities, be it Bush or anybody else in power in this country.

But mark my words, the Democrats will take back control of this country. The Republicans have lost control and there is only one person to blame, Ex-president George W. Bush. NOW there IS someone worse that Nixon.

It will be a generation or two before Bush's destruction of his own party is mended.

    Mark my words.

  15. justice!! fairness!!

funny how everybody is callin Bush a war criminal and a fascist and blaming him for everything that had gone wrong in America when we, the people were the one who voted for him, and elected him to be our president term after term. we can only blame it on ourselves for our own stupidity by favoring him and wanting him to be our president. and now that everything is going the opposite way of how we wanted, you people started pointing fingers at others. of course Bush have some parts to blame buh he wouldnt even be there to cause all this misfortune if we the people never voted for him so everybody get a GRIP and blame urself as well instead of completely at Bush!!!!! cuz you americans should be ASHAMED!!!! and feel STUPID for picking BUSH!!!! quite ironic how the americans choose him and yet now you guys are all bashing him to no end!! how pathetic of you people!! because you guys were held responsible to!! so DONT EVEN BLAME IT ALL ON HIM!!!!

No attacks since 9/11. I think Bush has done a wonderful job. I love that man. Liberals hate him because they cannot understand why he has out smarted them at every turn. Bush is a genious. We will never allow Islamic law in the U.S..lo

No, liberals hate him because he ignores the law, the constitution, the will of the people, the will of the iraqis, The UN Charter, and everyone else but his rich friends.

Wake Up Bush is no conservative he's a Neo fascist and the only reason there has not been an attack since 9/11 has nothing to do with bush and everything to do with dumb luck. oh and you sound as smart as bush spelling "genius" Genious"

Slider – Why don't you ask those people in Iraq what they think of the Hussein government, as opposed to what they have now?

Think they want to go back?

    __________________________________________________

I think it's a safe bet to say "yes" at this point.

I mean, you think they love having their country occupied by a foreign army, infrastructure completely destroyed, and bombings in the streets? (and no, there were no terrorist bombings before we got there).

Maybe you think they get a ton of joy seeing the pictures from Abu Ghraib, soldiers using the Koran for target practice, and tossing puppies off cliffs.

So yes, I would bet the average Iraqi thinks back to the relatively peaceful days of Saddam and wishes their country wasn't invaded in the first place.

The only fascists I saw in that crowd were the 3-4 people who clearly do not believe in free speech–or basic manners.

    Rude, rude, rude.
This type of person has absolutely no respect for our country, the flag, not to mention the president.
The sad part of it is that ignorant people get to vote also.
