The worst case scenario for an Obama Presidency is about the best you can expect from McCain.

What have you all missed over the last generation that would allow you to throw America in the trash for more Republican policies and appointees.

Voting person over policy has all but completely lead us here. Voters loved Uncle Ronnie, voters knew the experienced Nixon, voters felt like they could sit down over beer and barbecue with Dubbya, and later felt safer with him, Bush I voters felt was experienced and a decider.

Republicans never win on policy, they win on fear and division. They win on dehumanizing their opponents. Whenever possible, they have proven to take advantage of racial, gender, and lifestyle fears.

McCain is the figurehead for a set of policies, as is Obama. How this is missed I can never guess. The country goes in the wrong direction because of the thought process shown in many of these postings.
Too many voters have programmed themselves to regularly go to the ballot box and support an agenda that is not only bad for the average joe but dangerous for the prospect of a better tomorrow and counter productive to the goal of a more perfect union because they like or are more comfortable with guy pushing the agenda.

How is the burden of proof not on the neocon philosophy? Has Republican leadership and direction not put one hell of a dent in our future and the American Dream?

Who cares about Obama, McCain, or Clinton? This is about agenda, policy, and appointees not only in the courts but administration of about every major arm of government.

Voting Republican again in the face of all the ruin is suicidal for our nation. I don't care who you like or fear my fellow Americans, the ONLY rational thought now is to stop the bleeding and get as many of these yahoos out of power as possible.

Republicans are bad for America. A vote for McCain is a vote for more of the same and you can paint it any other way.

I hope McCain's new campaign handlers kick Obama's butt and reveal him for the echo chamber he is.

it is going to take a lot more than the handlers (the same people who got Bush back into office...see how good that went) to stop ARMY AMERICA.

McCain supported in 2012 (if McCain won):
-i don't have a job.
-just lost my house
-gas is $10.00 a gallon
-we are at war with Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and others.
-we are isolated from the rest of the world.
-we owe China 100 trill.
-oh did i mention that i was sick the other day, but i could not afford to go to the doctor.
-the Mexican dollar is stronger than ours
-America has become the global swap meet
-i was going to go to the beach put the oil spill put and end to that
-oh, did i mention i am now paying more on taxes?
-crime is up.
but at least we didnt let a BLACK man get in the White House...we sure are patriots...idiots

DUMPMCCAIN.COM...release your military records...HERO

WHAT DOES JOHN HAVE TO HIDE?
to the John is just were this country will be if YOU elect McCain like YOU elected BUSH...
for your education go to barackobama.com see his plan

Kim
You are wrong McCain voted for a bill that would give benefits based on years of service. As you know we have a voluntary service and McCain knows that a lot of them will leave after the first tour if they are given the benefits and this will leave us short on our military. You don't want a draft do you?

Hillary Clinton backers are STILL whining about how she blew it? PUH-LEASE let it go.
Come November, if you don't vote for Barack Obama, you dishonor Hillary Clinton. With any other vote, whether it's for Barr, Nader or McCain, all you're supporting is 4 more years of George W. Bush. It doesn't get any simpler than that. And it doesn't get any more horrific than that.
It's your right to do so, obviously, but if you backed Hillary and don't follow through with a vote for the Democrat in the fall, your support for HRC was shallow and for all the wrong reasons. The country deserves better. So does Hillary.

Another non-policy based attack add. This is meant to play on a perceived dislike between the Spanish American and African American.

To me this is basically race baiting. John McCain is saying "Hey Hispanic voters Barack doesn't care about you". This is completely ignorant and offensive. It is shocking how fast McCain has moved to the attack style politics.

There was a time when I thought I might vote for John McCain, but he is playing on people's fears and that is the most Bush thing he could do. The last thing we need is another Bush.

It's impossible for McCain to contrast his views with Bush. He's running on the Bush legacy. So he picks on Obama. That's okay. We are not stupid. Waste your money on these ads, no one is watching.

"These are the times that try men's souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman...

Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph..."

Aren't all of Obama's new, nuanced responsible positions the ORIGINAL Hillary positions?

So, I ask, who is the better leader?

The DNC installed a good puppet, but the wrong nominee for the job facing America.

Good luck, McCain.... win over all us HRC supporters who were ridiculed, hated and insulted by our own party just for voting for the BEST candidate... who, so sorry,...didn't happen to be black.

My bad. Political correctness is more poweful than experienced leadership.

The average record for not voting on the issues in the Senate is 4%. McCain's record is 61.8% and obamas record on Not Voting on the issues is around 42%.
Do you want people that fail to show up to vote on issues in the House or Senate with these kind of records in the White House.

Obama would not now need to run to the center...if he had been honest and realistic about his positions from the start.

Take NAFTA, IRAQ, ... Hillary Clinton had it right from the start.

Now Obama is morphing into Clinton just to win votes.

Why not vote directly for the RIGHT leader? I did. But Oprah, the Media, tha black pundits, the DNC, Dean. Pelosi and others swiftboated her to make history with the first (only half) African American president.

This was the year for the treachery since no Republican can win and no Democrat can lose, right?

Wait and see. Hang tight and firm and solid for democracy all you Hillary supporters. Do not let your party be hijacked by this hateful, biased injustice just to FIX the nomination for an unqualified and inexperienced black man.

It doesn’t seem to serve much purpose to continually go over the current negative status of everything or repeatedly over how the Bush-Cheney administration and their supporters have so arrogantly and irresponsibly contributed to the problems just for self-serving purposes – as everyone is fully aware of all of that. Then all of the irrational and emotional negative attacks, which by the way have barely started and will become more aggressive (both overtly and covertly), lack any real credibility and are simply aimed to intentionally confuse and mislead (remember Swiftboat). There also doesn’t seem to be a lot of benefit in evaluating and arguing over any of the candidates’ current stated positions on individual issues as we know that so much is said for affect and all of it really is (even necessarily) subject to being adjusted. And, for sure, there is no value in lamenting over what should have been. There possibly may be some value in some of those things … but just not in the discernment process for deciding who to vote for. The only choice is either John McCain or Barack Obama and that simply is a choice between John McCain’s stated guarantee for more of the Bush-Cheney policies and more of Washington as usual, … or Barack Obama’s promise, with no guarantee, for a chance to have change, including for more focus on benefiting all of the people. To simplify, that is it and is all we really know and will ever know for sure. Regrettably it comes down to deciding whether you want more of the same or to take a chance on getting credible change, and that decision has to be based on what you feel, as what the candidates, their supporters, or even the media offer is contaminated with an abundance of subterfuge.

I came across this and thought that it said a lot.
[This is a SiaNews.com/DumpMcCain.com EXCLUSIVE]

May 19, 2008

Greetings!

I was John McCain's Navy Flight Instructor --- in formation tactics and air-to-air-gunnery. I could write a book about this man. Suffice to state, I shudder (and I'm fearless) at the nightmare thought of this man becoming our next President and Commander in Chief. I am not alone as to this man's former shipmates, instructors and senior officers --- as to who and what this man is really all about. Although politics is really theater and the best performing actor gets to stay on the main stage --- sorta like American Idol only much more dangerous to all living things --- the performance and the make-over (re-invention) of this man is currently matched only by that of former LTC Oliver North, USMC (Ret.). Together on the same ticket, these two clowns would be real crowd pleasers in this sorry day and age of liars, banal dummies and limp-headed performers.

Thanx for having the guts to put the real deal information on the site re: John Sidney McCain III --- since the mainstream media is much too lazy to put the real story on McCain out there for the rest of their lazy consumers.

Best regards,

On every issue, Obama tries for a stance that will cover BOTH sides of the issue.
NAFTA AND IRAQ.
The irony is that he slammed and trashed and lied about HRC's policies.... which he is now taking as his own.

I voted for Hillary, because she had the better, well-thought out platform.

Now Obama will no longer get my be-true-to your-own- party loyalty vote.

Better than the hypocritical Obama.

Nearly every one of Obama's stances has "changed" since he became the democratic nominee. All to pander to the independents so he can win the election. Is that really "new politics" or the "same old"?

In fact, he's becoming more like Bush.

If you believe the 16 month statements on Iraq you are even sillier than Obama thinks you are. Get with it folks. He lied to you and he knew he was doing it.

Remeber when he ranted against Hillary and mocked and ridiculed her for saying a measured and safe withdrawl? Sounds like exactly what he is now saying.
This Liar is nothing new…no new change…no new attitudes and he sure as hell won't bring the party much less the country together.

It is ok Obama fans you can now admit it you were sold a bunch a crafty speaches(lies) to win the primary ….Now he will run to the center….and lose. Oh by the way, when Bill ran(and won…twice) he already was in the center. This Obama will stoop so low to win the white house….Look out Oprah…after 20 years he will throw you under the bus too.

Many young Latinos Y Latinas, join the US Military. They join because they are brave, proud and to get an education that they otherwise cannot afford. But McCain voted against the GI Bill to give Service Men and Women the money to go to College after they have gone to War !

McCain said just this past week that he will work to build more jobs in Mexico and Columbia to keep them in their own countries.

He is willing to keep out the illegals at the expense of jobs in the US. Now that is change we can believe in. However, it is also change we cannot afford if we want to turn around this country.

We need to stop spending 10-12 billion a month on a war that was ill advised. We need to stop giving big corporations big breaks while the rest of us struggle to put gas in our cars and food on the table. I hate to break it to you but so many of you keep saying $5 gas, how about $6 by Christmas. We are nearly at $5 here in Cali.

Obama should stick to his mantra Change we beleive in and Yes we can whenever any reporter ask him any questions. He should not talk about his policies otherwise he will land in trouble. He should stick to what he said during primaries and let his surrogates talk for him. If they make some mistakes throw them under the bus, and come out clean. So far you are doing good with your South side Chicago style politics.

Anyone but Obama:

Obama is such a slimey politician! Is this the kind of change he wants? Say one thing to win the nomination and then change when you have it in the bag?

Sorry, this is not change, politicians have been doing it for years and Obama is just pulling the wool over his supporter's eyes. Just the liberal version of political sheep.
The conservative sheep voted Bush in twice, mesmerized by his Rove written speeches and fear mongering, now the liberal sheep are mesmerized by Obama's "change".

His are "teleprompter/preacher sounding" speeches. Oh and don't forget about fist bumping! Is that the new Macerana?! That alone should get him elected! Which unknown pop idol is next for president?

Possibilities are endless in our dumbed down society. Can't anyone think for themselves anymore? Open your eyes folks.

I was an Independent for Obama, but I am getting to the point where I dread to see him talk because he sounds more and more like George Bush.

You people sure have put Karl Rove way up there. He must be a genius, he got Bush elected not once, but twice. Obamas' own mouth will sink him in November. Neither Gore nor Kerry could beat the moron, Bush. What makes you believe an egotiscal, do nothing like Obama can beat McCain? I HOPE IT POURS DOWN RAIN IN DENVER! I will still write Hillary on my ballot in November. I will not vote for either of the morons who will be on the ballot.

It's so obvious, with each piece of venom that emerges from the McCain campaign, that the Bush election machine is running full speed ahead....when this gets down to the wire the guy that riggs the voting machines will have his work cut out for him...

McCain even uses Bush's old political buddies.

Can't he look at or think of anything that is NOT Bush-related?

As a lifelong DEM, I find McCain as palatable as possible for a Republican candidate.

So, I do think that Mc Cain is acceptable for the Republicans but Obama for the Democrats?

The Democratic party should think very hard before just handing the party over to him at the convention. I'm a life long Democrat not voting for him and many others are becoming dissatisfied with him.

The man came out from nowhere, couldn't bother with working at his job in the senate and then decided to run for President. He doesn't even know what he doesn't know because he's too inexperienced and ignorant.

He pretty much was put up for the senate by Chicago pols and it is the same with the presidency. God knows who's writing the speeches, if his earpiece falls out, he can't even string sentences together.

I don't approve of Republican policies, but I do know McCain is a human who takes work seriously and tries hard. He has a temper (Obama is known to have one too.) but is pretty independent of thought when it comes right down to it.

Even the fact that the Republicans decided to let him in on the Columbia hostage crisis says something. He'll earn respect with Latino voters visiting their homelands and supporting free trade. We need these countries and the connection people here have with them are important.

I am consider myself a liberal democrat however since I have been following politics since the 70's have become aware of how the system works I now lean towards the middle.......Now having said that- I am extremely disappointed with the people who helped President Bush bring this country into the war in Iraq. A war that I opposed and demonstrated against here in Portland Oregon. Presently I think it would be a horriblely wrong descion on withdrawing our troops from Iraq altogether before some sort of coalition is built to help solidify the Iraqi's from falling to our enemies. Mr Obama I say to you even though you are riding a wave emotions from the people who want out of this war does not mean it's the best way to go. I believe in democracy and will continue even though it means that even OUR great and young counry was hammered out my many wars here and abroad. Last but not least this entire enconomy downturn started when Teddy Roosevelt declared hegemony in the western hemisphere.

To a nightingale Sings:

Gen Clarke was right. John McCain's wartime experience does not qualifiy him to be president. It does serve as experiene in relation to foreign affairs, but that's it. There is alot more to being President than just foreign affairs. There's the economy, legislation, the Supreme Court, domestic policy and many other hats must be worn. John McCain is no more suited to be President than Kerry was. Not to mention his bad temper, which will put into more wars if he is elected.

Sen. McCain you SHOULD run an ad highlighting Obama's yet another FLIP-FLOP on welfare reform.

Here is a glimpse of what is happening right now: "ABC NEWS - Barack Obama aligned himself with welfare reform on Monday, launching a television ad which touts the way the overhaul "slashed the rolls by 80 percent." Obama leaves out, however, that he was against the 1996 federal legislation which precipitated the caseload reduction.

"I am not a defender of the status quo with respect to welfare," Obama said on the floor of the Illinois state Senate on May 31, 1997. "Having said that, I probably would not have supported the federal legislation, because I think it had some problems."

Obama's transformation from critic to champion of welfare reform is the latest in a series of moves to the center. Since capturing the Democratic nomination, the Obama campaign has altered its stances on Social Security taxes, meeting with rogue leaders without preconditions, and the constitutionality of Washington, D.C.'s, sweeping gun ban.

The shift in Obama's rhetoric on welfare reform has proceeded in stages. When former President Bill Clinton was poised to sign welfare reform while running for re-election in 1996, Obama called it "disturbing." A decade later, as an underdog running for president against Clinton's wife, he spent 2007 avoiding the subject. By the time Obama emerged as the Democratic frontrunner in the spring of 2008, he began leaving the impression that he was for it all along."

So far, Obama has flipped-flopped and made "change" on every issue he ran on during primaries.

People: Do you really think he is fit to be the President of the United States of America? How can you believe a word that comes out of his mouth?

I think it's time to wake up and smell the coffee. Our country (including the media) is controlled by the rich and the powerful.

They didn't want Hillary because she is for the people. Oddly enough they don't want McCain either because he is also for the people.

Please think for yourself America. Obama is already bought and paid for. Only the rich and powerful could have put him where he is today with no experience and surrounded by shady characters.

People that refuse to vote for him are being silenced and threatened.

McCain is the only choice because staying home, writing Hillary's name in or voting for a third party candidate won't keep Obama out of the Whitehouse.

Obama can't keep his stories straight and has embraced half of W's policies already.
