You'd better watch it as liberal Al Franken called Rush Limbaugh a big fat liar and now Al is in trouble because he did not pay his taxes. What comes around goes around. But, seriously, calling someone names is so childish....can't give a good argument for what and how you believe, so you call people names.

I think Edwards would make a great VP!

Edwards was the first Democratic candidate to offer real solutions to the issues and problems that are plaguing the country. Without Edwards ' contributions the Democratic Party would not have a platform today.

Edwards is the one!

Well, say what you will about McCain (and Romney), but they need to be prepared for a fight this fall. If they are placid or lazy in any way, Obama will run them over.

Romney sure isn't afraid to fight. Not that it helped in the primary.

what i don't get is how mccain accepts money from g.w. bush, both private donations and money from fund raisers setup by bush, himself! but he doesn't dare openly admit such or even mention his affiliation (past or present) with bush. if i were bush, i'd be pissed at mccain. he takes his money and then goes and stabs him in the back. personally, i feel that both of them aren't worthy to lead this nation anyways, so whatever...

PATHETIC!!!!! it'll be one loser following another loser. i hope gramps can stay up that late, maybe they better let mcCON speak first!

if bush's approval ratings are less than 30%, how come so many dillweeds are voting for his THIRD TERM?!?!? it makes no sense! mcCON is a LIAR, flip-flopper, and his health cannot withstand it. you know the evil-doers like bush, cheney and rove have tlaked about how important VP is, cuz gramps probably wont last 4 years if he made it to the white house. no need to worry, guys, obama's young and healthy!!!!

How can it be reasonably argued that a McCain administration would not be like the second Bush administration?

Same policies.

Same people running the campaign.

Same ideology.

Same goals.

Same vision.

You guys should explain how the new style pandering McCain really isn't just McBush.

Please tell us something other than the no longer deserved "Maverick" label, because that dog simply won't hunt, he's flip/flopped to the typical Republican policies on about everything and has been a rubberstamp for Bush as well.

By the way, it looks like Romney will be McCain's VP candidate. McCain said that Dan Quayle was not a good example because he was not ready to accept the VP role when he was selected. According to this logic, McCain would let his possible VP candidate get more exposure. No one gets exposure more than Romney.

George Bush will speak on Monday and John McCain will accept the nomination on Thursday. Will George Bush wait there until Thursday to meet McCain? Unlikely. By tradition, the candidate will NOT be at the convention on Monday. It is pretty clear to me they will NOT together over there.

But George Bush will also speak on Thursday or Wednesday. But this is another George Bush, the father who is more popular than the son.

The last time we saw Mitt, he told us that opposition to nuclear proliferation is liberal (Just because Obama is against nuclear proliferation). The McCain camp put Mitt in timeout for a few days. But now the confused flip-flopper is back. What is he going to tell us next? That the economy and alternative energy and healthcare are liberal issues?

So Romney is back so he can put his foot in his mouth again in his desperate attempt to label anything and everything Obama supports "liberal." That idiot is going to cost McCain this electron. Just watch, in a few days in foot will be going right back to his mouth.

We Republicans will be sorry one day for turning our back on President Bush. History will be very kind to him. Above all, he will be known as The Great Protector just as Reagan was The Great Communicator.

Bush gets trashed for two issues: The war and the economy. Try Googling a list of the reasons we went to Iraq; the quotes and proof provided by EVERYONE (Bush, Dems, Britain, Russia . . . everyone) is remarkable. Bush's biggest failure has been not keeping that info at the forefront.

And I challenge anybody to tell me one economic policy of Bush's that has either led to this current economic downturn or was opposed by Democrats. My friends, it's not enough to simply say, "Bush ruined the economy! He's stupid!" Someone, anyone, do some research and give me one thing that Bush or the Republicans did to cause this slowdown . . .

I always get a big kick, and definitely take it so much less seriously, when obama-bashers like MARK PDX noodle on and on about obama, feversihly trying to prove how smart and witty they are- and all the while, they can't even spell baraCk's name right.

how seriously can you take someone who wants you to listen to their political viewpoint and yet doesn't have the cognizance to correctly spell a name that he probably sees in print 50 times a day?

next right wing braniac, please...

Just for the record I see "worst President in history" a lot on these blogs. Just remember George's 29% is still three times better than the Democratic Congress 9% they recieved as of this morning. 9% is like saying Berkley California likes them and everyone else thinks they are buffoons.

Brandon...while I do not agree with your reasoning...you make the first real thoughtful statement from that "team of idiots - called PUMA"

You sound like an intelligent man. I apologize for stereotyping PUMA's as frustrated housewives. However, I would like to point out that occasionally we don't get the candidate we support. I never voted for Bush and felt I knew he would be a failure. I feel that same thing about McCain.

How about this Brandon....This time let's (as Americans) hire the smart guy? What do you say? If you listened to McCain's positions and can't agree with but a few of them and Obama's positions (similar to Hillary's) why wouldn't an Obama presidency be a better choice? The Iraqi government wants us to pull out. Why would we want to elect McCain to perpetuate that conflict?

To all you people who say we can't afford to build a fence. You need to get the data and see the real cost applied to illegal immigration. Oh wait . I forgot you are the people in college who hasn't earned a dime yet. You have only got your allowance from mom and dad. Boy will you change your mind once you start to have to make a living and pay taxes. One idiot stated that mexicans don't threaten his air condition job in an offive working on a computer. No dummy they don't. The Indians (India) are getting your job. To all you people who support these illegals and say we need them to pick all of our food and build our house. Who do you think did that before illegals. It is easy to solve the money problem for the fence. All you people who support illegals from mexico could give your name to the goverment and say you want your educational loan given to them. In other words pay for your college education.

I just to put an aside from today's politics and comment on the latest Iranian threats directed against America and Israel. to quote one of our greatest Generals Douglas MacArthur : " In War There is no substitute for Victory". and Harry Truman had listened to 5-Star General Douglas MacArthur, we would not have a communist North Korea after the Korean war..General MacArthur wanted to drive the Chinese out of North Korea and defeat the North Koreans decisively
but was stopped by the then President Harry Truman. Now into today's war threats from Iran, we need a General in Command of all our armed forces when war breaks out with Iran.
Iran's threats will be backed by dirty bombs with Nuclear material
as well (perhaps chemical weapons. They dont dare launch biological warfare. However, their missile are well deployed to strike not only Israel but our Forces in the middle East..
General Douglas MacArthur not only out generaled , out foxed, out maneuvered the enemy, He won his battles with less casualties.
We have better resources (for war) than any country. What we need
are fighting Generals who have commanded armies to victory.
We need a tactical expert like General MacArthur who knows how to overwhelm and out fight his enemies.. Now the Presidential election is months away and War seems likely before the elections.
If that is the case we need a war experienced Commander in Chief
To me , it makes sense to elect Senator McCain whether or not war starts before November or shortly after. Iran is bent on making nuke weapons and all the severest sanctions imposed by all the nations will not work.. We may face missile attacks and terror attacks with dirty bombs, but we can weather those ,if Iran is at all able to launch them.. Remember General Douglas MacArthur's words.
"In WAR, There is NO substitute for Vixtory. Anybody with plain commons sense knows what that entails : We have all the power
and equipment and ordnance plus technology to "defend" America
All we need is a Commander in Chief with GUTS and the best Generals to get into War hopefully without the likes of cheney and Rumsfeld.

Well I was right. The dirty politicking has begun. The McCain camp has a fear mongering attack ad showing Senator Obama next to the Iranian President. I knew it.. I said it was just a matter of time before the GOP began their dirty trick ads.

I know independent thinker will see it for what it really is. FEAR MONGERING GARBAGE.

DEMOCRATS UNITE!!!

Romney is a smart person. I am for him whatever.

Now for Obama the candidate of changed positions.

Didn't a woman whip him in PA, CA, Ohio, NJ, MA, NY, IN, KYl, WV and Texas.

Do we want a girlie man whipped by a woman to be our leader? Not in my America.

Vote a straight ticket. **********Vote MCCAIN***********************

Funny how Romney detested what McCain stood for during the early primaries and now is one of McCain's boot-lickers like Huck and Lieberman. McCain's words are not credible and neither are Romney's. We will not support such a delusional madman like John McCain. Obama '08.

John McCain = John Kennedy with more legislative experience
Barak Obama = Jimmy Carter with no executive e experience

McCain has an anger problem and offends people and Obama is not a good judge of character.

Sadly, we are to vote for the less bad candidate.
