(CNN) – Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton team up again Wednesday, but not all Clinton's supporters are jumping on the Obama bandwagon despite her calls for unity.
Two fundraisers are scheduled Wednesday in New York and a third on Thursday, making it five times the two have appeared together since Clinton ended her quest for the Democratic presidential nomination last month.
Two of the events are aimed at raising money for Obama's campaign, and one is to help Clinton retire the debt from her failed run.
The joint appearances have been choreographed carefully to produce pictures of the former rivals standing side by side in an effort to help move beyond the bitterness of the hard-fought Democratic primary.
But for some of Clinton's top supporters, it's going to take more than just encouragement from the former first lady to get them to open their wallets and hearts to Obama.
From an independent's perspective: this is rich. Hillary supporters come across as shrill, menopause-deranged shrews, the epitome of the stereoptypical white racist feminists the right loves to bash. Obama is no rockstar, for god's sake. He's a politician with essentially the same politics as Hillary if you'd bother to look at their platforms, and with a much more effective campaign organization. All this b.s. about "his church preaching hate and racism" just exposes the cultural and historical ignorance of whites who do not want to face the fact that black america has had a lot to be angry about. Black liberation rhetoric is just that; a historically contextual rhetoric. To spin it as anything else is just ignorant or disingenuous. Reflect on the racism and hate spewing from the pulpits of white churches much?
White People for Obama: Why would we support her??? Other than all the obvious reasons, how about because people like you call her supporters Nazis? Do you understand how defamatory and rude that is? Do you have any clue what the Nazis were like and yet you glibly throw this word around to generalize 18 million people in your own country??? Because, in addition to all the positive traits she has, there are people out there like you who hate her, that's why I support her. Because if I'm on the opposite side of the fence from you, I know I'm doing the right thing.
there is nothing Obama can do to win over Hillary supporters to satify them,if he pays off her debts which they couldnt do,it still wont be enough forget them they are just a bunch of racist anyway, never will they vote black so lets be real about this situation .they use this as an excuse but more of us understand and see it than they think,we say good bye to her supporters and may god bless them and JONH MCCAIN may he continue to take them thru hell on earth like BUSH
I love it!!!!
In a perfect world, and as a voter with Democratic sympathies, I would be totally on board with helping to retire the debts of the first woman in history to win a presidential primary.
In the real world, that candidate was Hillary, who despite staffing a gaggle of veteran pols, ran a badly organized campaign. Her "Plan B" was an appeal to Appalachian racists after the winner had already been decided. Thanks, but no thanks! As their tax papers show, Hillary and Bill can afford to pay their self-inflicted debts, ten times over.
I will NOT contribute ANYTHING AT ALL TO HILLARY OR BILL CLINTON. She should have droped out when it was clear she could not win the nominee, but she chose to hang on & run up the debt. Clintons are multi-milionaires, they are rich enough to pay their own debt that Hillary ran up by a poorly managed campaign & very poor judgment. Further, she tried everything possible to destroy Obama, & kept all the dirt going on & on as long as she could. I can't see how any of us feel like paying her for that!!
Is John McSame a flip flopper??? Let's see...
McCain will repeal the AMT. Wait, no ...
...not exactly. The presidential candidate has been saying he would eliminate the so-called "wealth tax" that threatens the non-wealthy. But now he supports a more modified plan.
That's not only a flip flop, it a half gainer with a full twist!!!! LOL!!!!
I am so sick of hearing about Clinton supporters not giving Obama no love. Who the heck cares!!!?? Leave them where they are..we will move on!
Hillary Clinton supporters would cut off their noses to spite their faces by expecting Obama to help pay off her debt or they will not vote for him. This is blackmail pure and simple. What has she done for him so far except call him down during the primaries. If Obama should select Hillary as his VP then his term will be a disaster as Bill would not be of any help. Aren't his actions now proving this. Hillary would be doing Obama a big favour by refusing to run with him should he ask. Also, the world is very interested in Obama winning.
Obama ran a first clas campaign and won, so GET OVER IT, I'm Donating 1500.
HRC supporters will not be missed. Obamacans like myself and my husband, who switched our registration from Republican to Democrat in order to caucus for Barack in the primaries, donate to his campaign and vote for him in the general, will well make up for the pissed off PUMAS who are SO without a life that they would actually sit home or vote for McCain come November. Obama will be our next POTUS, HRC will have some cabinet post, so pipe down, PUMAS!
Just remember, PUMAs...if ever ANY Clinton decides to run for another public office...don't look for us to help out in any way, form or fashion!!! You guys have burned your bridges!!!!
McCain/Hillary '08 !

Oh my…. are we not sick of this subject yet. Move on people! And my advise to the Clinton supporter…. Get over yourselves.
We will get over ourselves, when she wins the nomination in Denver. The Delegets still have to vote for their true leader, then and only then can you Obamanats, if he wins the nomination say he is the candidate of the Democratic Party .
What donors? They don't have two wooden nickels to rub together and they think that's leverage? He doesn't need their money. They need to grow up and put the future of the nation first, and stop with the childish tantrums we have seen and heard about how they are going to stay home or vote for that old geezer on the other side. What about their daughters? Do these self-smugged HRC baby-boomers really care about anyone other than themselves? So far, we're not seeing it. Here's the bottom line, HRC people:
If you don't vote, you have no right to complain about anything.
If you vote for McSame, that's all you'll be doing for the next four years.
Jimmy P says "Come'on over moderate Dems, help save our country from far leftist tyranny!"
What planet do the kool-aid drinking, 29% [R] true-believers think we live on?
#1 - So moderate dems are the only ones that would have voted for Hillary? Ha! And even if so, had Hillary won the nomination, your characterization of them would not be any different than the one you are now using for Obama supporters. What a typical [R] hypocrite and jerk.
#2 This country has never needed saving from your fairytale of a so-called far-left tyranny. But what is abundantly clear to those with working neurons is that the country certainly DOES need saving from the tyranny of the current far right administration and their remaining [R] minions in congress.
You people who want to remain in your [R] created version of the Dark Ages, please go to Afghanistan to live in a cave with your soulmate Osama. You'll enjoy small gov't, no taxes, certainly no worry that Bush's America will bother you..... the simple life for the simpletons.
