Obama almost forgets Clinton

At a joint Wednesday fundraiser, Clinton nearly slipped Obama’s mind.
At a joint Wednesday fundraiser, Clinton nearly slipped Obama’s mind.

NEW YORK (CNN) – It was announced last week that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton would attend a series of fundraisers in New York together, one to help pay down her campaign debt and the rest to help raise money for his White House bid.

But a busy day in the Senate delayed Obama in Washington, forcing him to combine two events into one where he was supposed to ask donors to help Clinton as well as contribute to his campaign.

Wednesday night, he praised Clinton as “extraordinary” and “tough” - but nearly forgot about her need for funds.

After wrapping up his speech to donors Wednesday evening with an emphatic, “We will change the world!”, Obama left the stage to loud music, only to re-appear minutes later to complete his duties.

“Hold on a second guys, I was getting all carried away. I’ve got one more thing that is important to do,” Obama said to a laughing audience. “Senator Clinton still has some debt. And I could have had some debt if I hadn’t won so I know the drill.”

He then asked donors to contribute to Clinton on the pledge cards under their seats, calling it “part of the process of making sure that we are unified moving forward.”

“That is very important to us, and obviously Senator Clinton would be grateful as well,” he added.

Clinton ended her campaign more than $20 million in debt. More than half of that is her own money, which she lent her campaign during the primaries but is not looking to recoup.

Who can blame him for forgetting. It should not be his focus right now. He needs to be looking forward, not focused on cleaning up her bungled campaign financing.

Barack was too busy thinking about his safety after Jesse's remark about removal of a body part.

No surprise. This guy cannot be trusted. Now this elitist wants amreican kids to learn spanish – shut up! The great thing about america is that you can travel across it for over 2000 miles and everyone speaks the same language, watches the same movies and tv shows listens to much of the same music. We have our culture and i am not compromising it for the the sake of illegal immigrants.

Oh please. Come on, I don't think all politicians are buddy buddy. I am sure there is an underlying reason Obama is helping Clinton get some funds to pay off her debt.

Her supporter don't seem eagered to pay off her debt. I wonder why that is to this day. Yet Clinton supporter think she should have been the Chief.

Let get this right, first of all, Obama has plenty of donors to raise money for the election. Money is not his problem. However it is a problem for Clinton. So I suggest she and Bill suck it up and get their supporters to pay off their debt.

Hey, anyone else remember what Barry Bam Bam was doing on June 7 while Hillary was suspending her campaign and feigning an endorsement for this weasel?

Remember how, at the very moment she took the stage to give her historic speech, he went off to play golf?

And remember how, all the while, the media types with their crushes on BO beat the drums about Hillary having to do everything she could to get this sleazy guy elected?

    NFIL, not going to happen.

Come on CNN....cover story regarding a near miss of a Hillary fund-raising topic by Barack and you fail to provide any cover of McSame's scary comments about cigarette warfare on Iranians. Is there now a pattern here with McCain rather bizarre humorous approach to the Iran problem, that is now more evident with their missile practice sessions? Not the kind of behavior that one would expect from the next commander-in-chief.
Get some balance in reporting the critical events in this phase of the campaign.

Obama is so courageous. He could have easily let it go at that, but he came back on stage to make an appeal for the hardest working Seantor.

Barack Obama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! win on your own, you already prove that, so don't play the wrong cards. Let it be like this, play your cards as they fall, and let the Clintons' play their game, in the end if you do not win, which I strongly doubt, Democrats will judge and place resposibilities where due. In any case is a win win for you and History will be written either way. You are young and I hope that you learn a hard tough lesson from this as well as your spouse. You cannot always say what comes to mind, first you must, must step outside of you and listen to what you will say and how it would affect you for an idividual stand-point, the utter it.

His empty gestures belie his true nature. There is no party unity, nor will there be in November. Barack Obama has managed to do what no Democrat has done before – disparage the last sitting Democratic President during the course of his ruthless campaign. May his chickens come home to roost in November.

Good grief give the man a break.....he has been campaigning for 16 months non stop.
Its rather pathetic for the media to nit pick every little mistake Senator
Obama makes and some shows on CNN are really pathetic at it !!
Go down MCsames road for a change
you know the candidate who is bordering on dementia
its not Obamas fault if his donors refuse to donate to her
maybe they should have had a better financier at the helm of her campaign finances

This is your debt lady!!! You knew the stakes going in and if you weren't so determined to "do anything it takes" to satisfy your own selfish agenda, you simply would not be begging for money!

Tell you what....you keep asking for money and and get that green senator from Illinois to beg with/for you and I'll continue to remind the democratic party just how ignorant they can really be! How ridiculous!!

Barack Hussein Obama is scary, think of all the things he forgets.

Maybe he wants to test the Iranian missles. Let's invite them to the White House. Hussein Obama???

I'm not giving one red cent to help Clinton out of debt. It was her stubborn fault she got there in the first place. If she would have dropped earlier she wouldn't have such a big debt now. Beside I have more important things to spend my money on, gas!

It amazes me how this young, inexperienced senator has all the answers to fix all the wrongs both at home and abroad. Obama is just another typical politician, who, because of his oratory talent, is able to draw an occult-like following. Hopefully, theses Obama fans will wake up before it is too late. The only "change" I see coming from Obama is his change in his positions . We need someone with experience in the White House, especially during these difficult times.

A staunch democrat, I am voting republican this time around.

Obama is just trying to win. He only wants to help himself.
He needs to understand that he will lose Clinton supporters if he doesn't help her.
