Let's change the Constitution to state that Politicians need to spend a certain amount of time as Governor or in Washington before becoming President. How many years? 4, 6, 8, 10 maybe more....... Being totally honest, I am a supporter of Obama's, but I was also someone who was pulling for McCain back in 2000, and still wish I could've voted for him then. Had McCain been President then, I don't think Obama would even be running right now, but as things stand, I think Obama is needed to counteract the damage that's been done by our current administration.

These people have been running it for soo long now its time for something new.

With their track record of making this country's terrible economy something we all have to deal with, and frankly, they have made this country a much less free place with regards to social equalities.

This country needs to move into the future, we need to take steps forward, not backwards. Science has shown us the brain virtually stops learning at around 25 – 30. John Mccain hit that age in in the early '60s. He doesn't even know how to use a computer. How can you even say he's in touch with today's world. Step aside and let a more intelligent generation take control of this world, and save it from complete destruction.

The question here is whether it is a symptom of age or just selective amnesia.

Obama's race has a very small negative effect on his election campaign. I know very few "racist white people" who would not vote for him based on race.

Obama's race has a HUGE advantage. When 85% of African Americans voted for him in the primaries, clearly race was helping him. Consider: what if Obama was white. Does anyone actually believe he would pull in 85% of the African American vote in the primaries?? I think not.

Likely, the African American votes for Obama will be just as significant in the general election.

McCain would be the oldest president if elected. The is a disadvantage.

As to how it will affect their respective presidencies, McCain could die from old age. The worst that could happen to Obama based on his race is....I don't know. Maybe an ignorant KKK member heckles him during a speech. I can't think of anything else...
