New Obama ad ties McCain to Bush, Rove

Obama released a new radio ad Friday connecting McCain to Pres. Bush.

Obama released a new radio ad Friday connecting McCain to Pres. Bush.

(CNN) - Barack Obama is up with a new one-minute radio ad in Virginia and Dayton, Ohio that ties John McCain to George W. Bush and Karl Rove, and accuses McCain of “making stuff up” about Obama’s tax plan.

The spot features a man and a woman discussing McCain’s assertion –- also described in an RNC radio ad running in those markets - that Obama would raise taxes on people making $32,000 a year.

“John McCain, he’s got new ads attacking Barack Obama on taxes,” the man says.

“Well, that’s not new,” the woman responds. “Bush, McCain, Karl Rove. That’s how those guys work.”

“This is shameful,” the man says. “It’s just making stuff up.”

The ad says that Obama would only raise taxes on those making over $250,000, and cites FactCheck.org as describing McCain’s charges as “not true.”

“Sounds like George Bush all over again,” the woman says.

“Guess that’s why they say John McCain, McSame as Bush,” the man says, concluding the ad.

People making 32,000 have money in the market...or they should if they're smart. Capital gains tax? 50% increase?

There is a whole slew of other programs that obama wants that will come out of EVERY persons income.

Obama has used cocaine, is a smoker and has completed illegal land deals? Why is Obama your god?
God created cocaine and tobacco, evicted Adam and Eve from prime agricultural land and sanctioned the 1948 forced eviction of His land to provide a home for His relatives. What's not to like?

This is in response for: ERIKA, KS:

If there's an idiot out there, it got to be you. When the Democrats left the White House, 8 yeas ago, they left a Surplus. That Surplus turned to Defficit; What that tells you, it's a Republican thing. Lack of Leadership, lack of common sense, lack of integrity, lack of truthfulness, lack of honesty with the American People. Everybody knows that McCain is not Bush, what they tried to tell idiot like you that: McCain is using the same policy and regulation, tactic and leadership ability like Bush. That's what that means. McCain is equal to Bush and Karl Rove.

Obama didn't tie McCain to Bush, McCain does that on his own.

I will do away with old Washington style politic oops flip i will not engage in smear tactics oops flop will sen. obama take time out from his new style lol politics and explain to the voters how he will guarantee all those promises he is making. it seems to me he keeps telling us how big a deficit we have but he wants to add to it he claims he will end the war in Iraq ( he'll probably try to take credit for the surge McCain got them to use if the war ends by year end) and use the money spent on it to pay for many of his proposals but he also says he will go into Afghanistan and fight alqaeda there and hunt down bin laden I quess the forces will fight there for free and once the war is over we won't have to pay our troops.he should lisren to himself talk. then he can make an ad about another idiot

Me thinks you should provide accurate information before defaming someone's charactor. Sen. Obama has quit smoking, he used drugs in high school, and he has not been charged with any crime. Give it rest. With all the websites like factcheck and other's factual information is available. Try using it.

George Bush is the biggest shame to America. Under his administration, our beloved country has moved back for at least 20 years while the rest of world is fast moving speedy ahead. Too bad, not every American has realized that.

Bush has become a laughing matter, the problem is, no what comes out of this man's mouth, majority of Americans are simply shutting down their ears. Too bad it has to come to this....

The race for the White House is getting a bit closer. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Barack Obama’s lead over John McCain down to a statistically insignificant single percentage point, 43% to 42%. Prior to today, Obama had enjoyed at least a four-point advantage every day since Hillary Clinton dropped out of the race over a month ago. This is the first time his support has fallen below the 45% level since May 31.

Every time McSame tells a lie Obama will take that same lie and use it against him and his buddies, Those very lies will be used as projectiles to hurl bask at McSame, Bush & Rove. Those three IDIOTS will soon realize that in this election cycle, the only thing that's not going to be coming back at them is the TRUTH.
They are so accustomed to telling lies that they do not know how to tell the Truth.

Ok, I make under $250k per year but I have a lot of stocks I've purchased over the years for my wife's and my retirement. Does that mean my capital gains taxes won't go up beyond the current 15% when I'm retired and start cashing them out?

Also, what's the definition of "increased taxes" to Barack Obama? Is a return to the old (higher) tax rate prior to Bush's temporary tax cut considered an increase or not an increase? To me, if I pay more than I did last year on the same income, I would consider that a tax increase. We should at least understand the specifics of the plan and not play word games about what the meaning of "is" is.

Stop trying to confuse us with word games!

I'd say Obama is much more similar to Jimmy Carter.

Obama and Carter would rather meet with our enemies instead of meeting with our soldiers.

Hamas is very open about how much they like both Obama and Carter.

So Obamanites, you may not have the support of rational people, but you do have the support of Hamas.

  13. Actually, it's Obama ...

Obama is actually the one who is the same at Bush, just a more extreme version of him.

Obama wants to increase spending and take us further into debt (picking up where Bush left off)
Obama wants more faith-based funding for NGOs (even more than Bush)
Obama wants more government involvement (just like Bush)
Obama claims to be a uniter (and has no evidence–just like Bush)
Obama has little experience in Washington (just like Bush did)
Obama is now running attack ads (just like Bush's Karl Rove)

... So, tell me–who's really the same as Bush? Looks like Barack "I'm the Same as Bush" Obama to me.

Ouch. Based on how nasty McCain's campaign has become attacking Obama, McCain deserves no mercy. Obama has every right to throw every piece of political mud at McCain and his lousy joke of a campaign.

I give this ad a "10". Love it.

I have a feeling that the name "McSame" is going to stick to the old fossil like glue. He is not going to be able to shake it.

I also love it when even the Republicans shudder when anyone talks about McCain = Bush.

Will I have to pay social security contributions on my income beyond the current ceiling of ~$100k (I make well under $250k per year)? I consider social security contributions a tax. I don't voluntarily donate it – it's required by the government, so it's a tax. If that goes up does that count as a tax increase by Obama? Or is it technically considered to not be a tax (ie. It is "no tax increase" if that goes up)???

Start spelling it out clearly please!

Joh McCain McSame as Bush...I like it. It's catchy. And the GOP is going to do a smear campaign that, I'm sure, will be far more creative than this truthful statement from the Obama campaign.
AMERICA! I need to see more of a landslide in the polls leading up to the election to make me feel comfortable with the fact that BARRACK OBAMA IS GOING TO BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
So, let's start participating in those polls and letting everyone know how we feel.

When you don't have anything else going for yourself, then lie and that way you don't have to address the real issues. Isn't that what the Bush administration did to go to war with Iraq? Shame on McShame, Bush/Rove tactics all over again.
