I love how the Republican shills type everything in caps. They don't understand that the "typewriter" in front of the "picture box" is capable of a lot more while they try to fit a whole letter into the subject box.

Obama has pulled ahead by double digits in Michigan, a vital state that McCain thinks he will win. I think it's time to pack up the Straight Talk Express and drive down to the South where he can pitch is dillusional agenda to the NASCAR crowd.

McCain image will never tarnish, even if he make the most stupid mistakes, he had 7 mishaps last week if we count the mishap of his cronies regarding that Americans are a group of whiners....if Obama had just one of those mishaps, then he could forget to be the presumptive nominee.

Cnn polls always give their candidate ,Obama,an extra 8 percentage points to keep Obama looking good, even when the reality of it all,is that Obama is dead even in some polls and trailing, in others. So if you want to know the truth when CNN gives poll results, use my formula:Their claim ,minus 8,then you'll have it about right!.

Re: the land line question

Based on my experience, this hasn't underestimated BO's support. Why, I'm not sure, but it hasn't.

When I've compared primary exit poll results with the final tallies, they either agreed with the election results, or else overestimated BO's support. After all, those "closet racists" will say they've voted for BO when they actually haven't.

I hope Obama writes legislation requiring voters to take an IQ test before receiving their voting registration card.

Hillary's 18 million voters aside, Obama would win hands down. McFlip will make me richer, but I care about the country so I'm voting Obama.

I'm saddened to see Obama moving towards the right as he is. But, I guess he's no different than any other politician, and really not about change. He's got the nomination, now he's listening to the old-school advisors, sad. I wish there was a viable third choice, who would not be afraid to make changes, end the war now, prosecute the telephone companies for their crimes, etc., etc. Too bad; so many had hope in Obama.

Hillary Deadenders:

The truth is, she wouldn't even win basic Democratic states like Oregon, Minnesota, Washington and Wisconsin against McCain.

Meanwhile, Obama is ahead nationally and will win ALL the Kerry states plus Colorado, Nevada, Iowa, New Mexico, Ohio and maybe even Missouri and Virginia.

Can you say L-A-N-D-S-L-I-D-E? It's hilarious to read all the "people are waking up about Obama" stupidity. You've been saying that since January and he continues to climb. Ha ha!

Was A Dem---
Why isn't Obama doing better you ask... Sept./Oct. you'll see the polls jump (when colleges are back in session) also it matters not a poll in July when votes in November are cast to elect Obama President.

Not to mention when after the debates, when the public will see the stark differences on Issues! My quess is the MSM really wants to make it appear the race is close. A landside in July won't cover till Nov.

Elizabeth, when she says "I still am for Hillary as president. Best candidate for 2008. Too bad, americans didn't see that"
-------
Yeah over 18 million of us didnt think so and Barack won.
Are you still living the fantasy that Hillary is relevant? She wont be the nominee, the president and probably not the VP.

Its just a fantasy, Liz.

Rasmussen poll is tighter. Obama up 4%.....but only 2% when "leaners" are included. A few days ago they were tied for two days.

If not Hillary, then McCain 2008!

Americans wake up. No more Bush policies. McCain and the republicans will do the same. Just imagine what we could have done with 1 trillion dollars which has been spent on the Iraq war. You are I are going to have to pay for this now. End this madness now. Please vote for Obama...

It is hard to even believe that someone who is a good speaker but who has absolutely no experience is actually the nominee for the democratic party.... scary! The only thing we can go by in order to cast a vote is the candidates track record, or what they say they will do. In Obama's case, he has neither a track record, nor can he stick to a stand on an issue... so there is no telling where he would take the country. As far as polls.... the democratic congress who people were so anxious to vote in, have a lower approval rating than Bush - now in the single digits.... vote more of them in and you will deserve what you get!

Have you found that there is a rule behind CNN'S releasing " Poll of polls".

That is: whenever Obama's gets one good polling result!!!...

I maybe wrong, but most of the time I am right.

One last comment , please stop whinning about Hillary Clinton, and what she could have, would have or may have done. She LOST! I myself am tired of hearing about how Obama stole the election from her and how he is a Jr. Senator. Well news flash, so was Hillary. She was running on her experience as first lady. Enough about Hillary. Please move on, give it up. The past is just what it is, and the future is what concerns most people.

If you don't like Obama vote for McCain and stop calling the man names but when you do you better pray that your under 35 yrs old and can't be drafted. Also, you better pray you will still be employed. I care about the future of my grandchildren , and all young people. I am a military brat and I don't want another young person dying or becoming disabled in a war that was waged under a pretense of a BIG FAT LIE!
No McCain!

I am sure Obama will NEVER make it. The republican will use the same strategy they use with John Kerry. They will scare the people when we get close to the election. If Obama still ahead in poll, they will fake the final result. I hope that the people of this country will be smart enough to select the right choice. Bush & Mccain put this country in a hole that it is very difficult & impossible to get out of it. The damage can NOT be repaired. It will take generations to fix what this guy (Bush) has done.

Hard to believe, Obama is losing ground in what should be a landslide for the Dems..Wrong choice, it is still not too late for the delegates to support the most elecable candidate, and it doesn't appear to be Obama. Denver could be very interesting..

I am a yellow dog democrat never having voted for a Republican in a National Election but John McCain will receive my vote. He has earned it. He will receive the majority votes from blue-collar workers, push with union members and Hispanic voters that will make the difference in the electoral count. His military service, interest in a credible immigration plan, experience and moderate stance on most issues makes him the better candidate regardless of party affiliation.
Hillary Clinton would have gotten my vote as well as my friends but we are now with McCain, in spite of his being a Republican, as this is in our opinion best for all Americans. Obama really has not accomplished much in the past, i.e., military, legislatively, nor in the business sense and is not a moderate by any means or imagination. He is a great orator but then so are a few of my friends who have likewise accomplished little and the highlights of their lives are inconsequential. That's what I think.

'Was a Democrat' asks, "A generic Democrat beats a generic Republican by 15 points. Obama is ahead of McCain by five. Just curious, why is he not doing better? Perhaps an Obama supprter could respond? I'm waiting…."
_______________________

Generic polls are completely pointless. YOU need to explain how Hillary is the better candidate when Obama was 12+ points ahead of her nationally. Hillary couldn't even win basic Democratic states like Oregon, Minnesota, Washington and Wisconsin. Meanwhile, Obama is ahead nationally and will win ALL the Kerry states plus Colorado, Nevada, Iowa, New Mexico, Ohio and maybe even Missour and Virginia.

Can you say LANDSLIDE?

That Quinnipiac University poll is an outlier and shouldn't be included in their poll of polls. Interesting how CNN didn't update us on the polls after a string of polls came out over the weekend indicating the race was tied. I'm also wondering why CNN is not including the Rasmussen poll which has Obama ahead by just 2 or 3 points, which has been consistent over the past few days.

Janel, have you had your head buried for the last year? Obama was right all along?? He said the surge would fail, now he just changed his website to says it's worked and he know he it would. McCain doesn't have to win to know that he was right on the surge all along. He was critical many times of the way Bush and Rumsfeld fought the war, but he was consistent all along, all thru the primaries. Regardless of what you think about our getting in., McCain didn't waver or waffle and he was absolutely right about the surge and the political success that is following. So if you want consistency, vote for McCain. I'm for a timetable out of Iraq, but I'm still for McCain.

President's father was out of touch with economy in 1992. Bush Jr. and McCain are "mega out of touch" with the economy. If this keeps on going, Obama will win by a landslide. Hurrah!!!
