Who's insulting McCain?

What defensive nonsense, there has been a crowd that demands that Obama kneel , bow, and courtesy for whoever he opposes and turn the cheek in response to attacks made on him.

Obama has been EXTREMELY respectful to his fellow candidates and acknowledges their accomplishments. Certainly more so in general terms than he has gotten.

This goes for supporters too. There are certain folks who feel they should be able to bash away at Senator Obama in any way they should desire, but if there is retaliation or any comment against McCain or Clinton then it's on and the Obamabots are hateful.

I wonder why it is permissible for Clinton and McSame backers to beat Obama like a drum but not the reverse?

Also, I say McSame because the policies and many of the handlers and supporters are the same as Bush's. If he wanted to be called McCain, he should act like him instead of pandering to the neocon wing of the republican party.

Experience never trumps competence...never.

If you want more of the same place your vote for McCain.

All McCain'08/Hillary'12 People,

If McCain is so great, should he win this year why don't we just stay with him in 2012? McCain will have 4 years of presidential experience, something Hillary does not have. Actually, he has more experience than Hillary right now. What could be the rationale of choosing Hillary over McCain, now or in 2012?

Obama has no record period that includes working for the african american community the same community that supports him in these record numbers....makes one wonder.
If African Americans have concerns about voting for Mc Cain then by all means examine Cynthia Mc Kinney at least the woman has a civil rights record of fighting for real change not just talking about it.
I will vote for character and integrity and that is Mc Cain....

He had to say something, right? I think he was probably afraid to say much of anything, since he didn't even vote for Martin Luther King Day. Especially since he got booed in Memphis! It's kind of a fish out of water story.

Tell the truth to them and let them boo you Sen McCain. Obama is touting the same tired old Socialism that Dems have supported since the party was taken over by the wacko far Left in 1972. Who cares if Obama is black or white or purple. He is wrong on the issues and he is wrong for this country. Too bad that some people are going to vote for Obama because of the sole fact that he is black. Who is racist now?

If Obama went to the Oreilly factor and said the same thhing about McCain then his supporters would say this is why he needs to be our president because he praises his adversaries. Please be openminded, why do u think McCain is running neck to neck with Obama? This because no matter how much we try to make him like Bush he is not. Be objective.

Well said McCain! You always take the high road. Keep up the good work, i don't think Obama and his camp will praise you for anything good you say or do. It is refreshing to see that some of us are still able to put aside our differences and praise one another. McCain did just that!

PS. Obama supporters please stop your hate-filled comments on these blogs, learn from McCain and take the high road. Thank you!

Congratulations Senator Mc Cain.
Actually, though I do not like your McBush policies, I think you are personally a decent guy. The same may not be applicable to many in your campaign who perhaps have more at stake on your success than you do!

Ok, so he showed up to speak to the NAACP and then praised Obama. I have yet to hear him praise Obama any other time. In fact, on June 3, while Barack was giving his historical speech, McCain (in fron of his stupid green sign which said "Leader You Can Believe In" lol), he was bashing Obama the whole time.

I'd like to see McCain praise him in front of Fox Noise or the NRA.

This is a pretty glowing review. From someone who actually watched the speech I found it to be rife with uncomfortable moments.

How can you say your station is the most trusted in news? You show all of Mccain boring empty speech to the NAACP and cut off Obama
speech on National Security. The comment was made if he said anything important, the station would go back to his speech. I have never seen a station or it people so bias, isn't Obama to be giving the same amount of time that Mccain is given? I would like to hear Obama' full speechs and not snippets of sound bites. I will no longer watch your station, you are a poor excuse for unbais reporting I have ever seen, you are even lower than Fox News and that is saying something.

That is about the only nice thing I have heard McCain say about Obama, whereas Obama never fails to applaud McCain on his miliary record. McCain needs to be more positive on Obama--it is just good politics and kindness always makes sense.

Most people that are skeptical of McCain come around to generally admire and respect him after hearing him speak. The people that post on these message boards that trash the other candidates are the true living example of everything that is wrong with politics today. The other side isn't evil just b/c they have different opinions than you, they didn't steal the election b/c you lost, they aren't unsympathetic to your causes even if that's not on their platform; differences are what make our country so great. Learn to love and respect all candidates and you will be a wiser person.

Have you been following this campaign recently? Baracks platform is about ending the war in Iraq. Please find a different reason to "hate" on him, because that one has no validity.

"The only statement by McCain that I can agree with is "Of course, I would prefer his success not continue quite as long as he hopes."

You and McEnd will only see it happens on your dreams. Whether you like or hope this is your New President. At the end of his terms you will be one of his biggest follower. Remember I said so.

Kudo to Senator McCain for reaching out, there is nothing wrong with that. As far as school vouchers I have to adamently disagree. Federal funding reform is needed to make our education system more successful. Here in Minnesota we have great schools for the most part, but there is definetly a gap in scores between the urban, rural and suburban schools. We have to get rid of the unfunded no child left behind program, which has unfairly burdened the budgets of the school districts. We need to support the arts and athletics at all levels of school. We need to fund the schools for the expenses incurred by supporting disabled children that are mainstreamed and require additional staff and medical care

McCain showed respect by addressing the NAACP knowing that 90% or more supported Obama...to me that takes courage to show up, make a quality speech....i pray one day the black community will wake up and realize the DNC takes advantage of their vote....throwing money into the urban areas will not help the issues

McCain the the right choice for AMERICA
Obama speaking of change but has nothing to show isn't what AMERICA needs.

I would love to see McCain and Obama in a town hall meeting and answering unscripted questions from unplanted people. Since his many gaffes of the past week alone, McCain is now practically reading his speeches because he can't think for himself. It would highlight the basic differences between the two men: one is well educated, intelligent, articulate and knows what is going on in the world, and the other is a bumbling speaker who doesn't know basic facts and can't answer straight-forward questions about his own thoughts. He has to look it up and get back to you. In other words, I will consult my advisors and when they tell me what to say I will let you know what I think. This is not a person who should be the president of our country. And since this is the only time that he has praised Obama, I don't call that running a respectful campaign. What else could he say about the first ever African American candidate in front of the NAACP?

John McCain is one of the greatest senators and patriots in the history of our country, as opposed to Barack Obama who has done nothing but talk/talk/talk. It is true that Obama is an impressive talker, if that is all one wants to hear. Surely, Americans want to know what's behind all that flip-flopping talk/talk/talk, and so far we don't know.
