Obama debuts second national security spot in two days

Obama’s second national security spot this week focuses on loose nukes.

Obama’s second national security spot this week focuses on loose nukes.

(CNN) — Barack Obama has released his second ad with a national security focus in as many days Wednesday, amid a week of events designed to highlight the presumptive Democratic nominee’s credentials on that front.

In the new 30-second spot, “Changing World” – which, like “America’s Leadership” Tuesday, does not mention Iraq and Afghanistan - Obama again highlights his work on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to end the smuggling of loose nuclear weapons. The ad debuted on the same day he held a summit on the issue in Indiana, featuring prospective VPs Senator Evan Bayh and former Senator Sam Nunn as panelists.

“Forty years ago it was missile silos and the Cold War,” says the announcer, over images of missiles and other security threats. “Today, it’s cyber attacks…loose nukes…oil money funding terrorism.

“Barack Obama understands our changing world. On the Foreign Relations Committee, he co-sponsored a law to lock down loose nuclear weapons. As president, he’ll rebuild our alliances to take out terrorist networks, and fast-track alternatives so we stop spending billions on oil from hostile nations,” continues the announcer. “New leadership for a changing world.”

The ad will run on national cable starting Thursday.

This man's judgement is brilliant and he is proactive. He has foreseen issues way before the average person even knows about them. He is no dummy. Unlike mcwar who thought that Iraq was safe.

The Mc Pol Pot Regime has a new plan for Iran

McWar now wants to commit genocide on all Iranians and Persians. His new plan includes nicotine gas chambers and giant potash plants for there burned up bodies. This man does not care about human life at all. Just his family fortune and his wealthy lobbyist friends.

Do Americans know that there are several countries in the world that has loose biological weapons that terrorists can buy to harm America? Obama has plans to secure these weapons and some Americans are stupid enough to afford a myopic view of why McCain is better in War strategy than Obama. I pray we don't get the wake up call we so richly deserve.

Anybody out there recall John McCain calling Senator Obama “reckless and naïve” ?

And yet we now repeatedly see nations around the world, as well as the Bush administration, [and John McCain himself] following the FORIEGN POLICYleadership of Obama

Senator Obama has called for more brigades in Afghanistan for almost a year, now McCain is COPYING Obama on this point.

Senator Obama said we must engage in dialog with our enemies and be willing to solve problems diplomatically as well as militarily. Since that time

    – Isreal has opened discussions with Syria
    – The Bush Administration has agreed to meet with Iran on nuclear
    – The Iraqi Prime Minister has called for a timetable for US troops to be removed from Iraq

Not to mention Obama being right about the US fighting the Iraq war to begin with.

Finally, McCain is quick to throw out the name of Petraus, but I’ve never heard him speak of the commanding general in Afghanistan. Strikes me as someone who knows the “buzzwords” but not the details of how the rubber meets the road.

His handlers will feed him the name and we will start to hear it in a few days from now. Of this, I’m sure

I'm glad he's finally starting to highlight the things that he has done and the judgement he has had. Being a good commander-in-chief and fighting the war on terror has many different obstacles. Cyber terrorism is a significant issue. Many people don't know it because it's not as widely published but banks, companies and government entities are always being targeted and loosing millions of dollars. How can we have a president not computer savy when he will be the one to create government organizations to combat this problem?

Obama does not have what it takes to become a President! He lacks everything to get the job done. The only way that he is going to win in November is to have Hillary Clinton on the ticket with him.

If Obama does by chance get elected, our country will go down in history, and I mean for the terrible way. He will cause more damage than our present President Bush. Do we really want that?

    GOD helps us all!

People "smuggling loose nuclear weapons" don't care about law to begin with. What a meaningless piece of legislation that is. How about we make it illegal to hijack a plane? Oh, it is. And it doesn't prevent it?
