It's not ironic that these two goons belong to a cult called the sculls. They’re bent with the idea of death and destruction, turmoil, confusion, anger and lies. Impeach both Bush and Cheney and give them a one-way ticket to Riker’s Island. The media should be ashamed of themselves by not televising the truth to the American public. Give Obama a chance to railroad these thieves right into the slammer. McCaine rime’s with Novocain –wich means that this guy will hide the pain and misery these two thugs has caused us all. Obama 08.

John, YOU are the one drinking the Koolaid.
Yes, Clinton replaced all of the US Attorneys at the beginning of his term. Not in the middle of his term, and NOT in retaliation for them making decisions that we not favorable to republicans. No administration is perfect, but there has never been one that has been as corrupt, secretive and power hungry as this one. The entire lot should be behind bars

THE MEDIA DIDN'T AND STILL DOESN'T KNOW, SO HOW CAN THEY COVER SOMETHING THEY DON'T KNOW ABOUT?

Bush and Cheney not only hate the Constitution of the United States of America, but they hate the Rule of Law in general. While their being complicit in the 9/11 attacks, as many believe, may or may not be true, one thing is certain, there is definitely suspicion that they could have had something to do with it. As such, they should be bagged in the middle of the night and brought to Gitmo for some "harsh interrogation".

Like I said, they might well be innocent, but is that a risk we are willing to take? They made their own beds, now let them lie in them.

The corruption in this administration is so pervasive that if Bush doesn't get impeached in the next several months, then he should be jailed once he's out of office along with Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice.

Compared to the Bush and Cheney nightmare, the Nixon administration got a raw deal. Watergate did not get over 4,000 american troops killed. Since our gutless Congress says "impeachment is off the table", what about trying them for war crimes? Holding Bush and Cheney accountable would show the rest of the world the U.S. presidency is not above international law.

Since his selection by the Supreme Court, Bush's lies leading to an unjust war, corruption of no-bid contracts to cronies, and total disregard for the Constitution have degraded our executive branch to that of a third-world dictatorship.

Sadly. No matter who the next president is, these two will sail into the sunset laughing all the way.

They already know that nobody in Congress has the nuts to do anything to them.

I don't quite understand why, but it might have something to do with wiretapping their political enemies who don't want any dirt on them exposed.

As everyone else has said, this is not excusable AT ALL. Impeach them all NOW.

If I ever get required to testify in court I'll just say "why? If the leaders of our country don't have to, why do I?"

Re: Satire on Obama.
Much has been said on NPR, CNN and other networks about the Barrack-Michelle Satire's place in political life. Many are very offended. But the truer debate should be if the cartoon moves the debate from concerns such as the economy, Medicare, rising oil prices, Iraq war, et al. And if so, was this the foreseeable editorial intent. More, how long should we allow this truer debate to continue?

Okay, so amnesty to phone companies for breaking the very clearly defined law and sharing personal records....

BUT...impeach Bush for using Executive Priviledge...

No wonder illegal aliens think they have every right to be in this country when liberals ignore the laws that are inconvenient and invent ones that don't exist because it is politically advantageous.

BTW - I think Bush and Cheney should both be impeached but on the grounds they lied to Congress and the American public in 2002, not over this crud.

If Democrats had half the nutz they claim they would have impeached them both when they took over Congress to show the rest of the world that we won't tolerate lies from our elected officials.

If Democrats had half the nutz they claim they would have impeached them both when they took over Congress to show the rest of the world that we won't tolerate lies from our elected officials.

I wonder what will be in Bush's library considering most of the e-mail is erased or the crimes are "executive privelege." I pray that they don't start another war before Nov.

Let the interview set for now. If the Democrats get in the White House, we can see what to make of it all and if Chaney is found guilty we can convict with out a pardon.
for all his crimes it would be like convicting Capone for tax evasion, Not just but the best we might be able to do.

So much for wanting to get to the bottom of it.
So, if the CIA people are to go get the bad guys, why does President Bush get any credit for being a leader of war on terror (at least against Americans) when he's not making prosecution of people who out -"hurt" - those CIA people who have the job of protecting us?
Or, giving pardons to those who were convicted of being part of the team who hurt the CIA people?
I wont go all out and say treason like Texas Trail Dog, but come on people. And we want more of this type of governance under Senator McCain? Or the exec signatures on legislation he doesn't agree with?

It's time for a change.

I really wish the Supreme Court had an opportunity to rule on Executive privilege and educate Bush and his cronies on how far it actually extends. Then we can have the fine people he appointed to office testify to Congress without the benefit of their illusory privilege.

Veteran for McCain --- you win the PRIZE! -- I have never heard such infantile, intellectually bankrupt equivocating in my life. I now see what it takes for an individual to be one the 29% true-believers. That people like you have your hands on the controls of a democracy is truly frightening. The image of a slack-jawed twit in front of a broken-down still with a swastika on it just won't go away.......

"Executive privilege"?!!!! Sounds like, "above the law privilege".

Why can't we hold these guys accountable? They belong in prison!!!! Nixon resigned for so much less, and Clinton was impeached for nothing compared to this. Impeach them!

If we don't do something, what does our system mean?

Mukasey, by the way, is showing his true colors. That man is now an accessory to all this administration's crimes by keeping them under wraps and safe from scrutiny. He belongs in prison now too.

This and the war are the reason I would not be able to vote for McCain.

Both say they are moral yet this type of politics is not moral. I can’t morally vote for anyone who voted for the war and continues to say they should stay in this unwarranted war. Both Bush and McCain voted for it and continue to legitimize an unwarranted war.

If someone votes for McCain its like saying to the Republican party that its ok to do this type of politics.

Economy in shambles, unwarranted war, cover-ups, CIA squealing, mortgage crisis, record debt, …………

THIS IS UNAMERICAN!!!!

KEEP THE FAITH!!!

Rob, It would have been ok to fire all the attorneys, but to pick who to fire based on how aggressively an attorney pursued Dem's is against the law. But this article was not about that particular illegal act, it was about another illegal act that was much worse. Bush lied about the reasons we went to war and to cover that fact up he commited treason by exposing a US CIA operative.

Clearly impeachable stuff- he belongs in jail. Better to wait to bring charges so Cheney will not pardon him after he is impeached.

No wonder G.W. Bush hasn't supported the Kioto Treaty, Go Green by approving offshore, in your eye Arnold S, drilling.

Solution - Each of these gentlemen get lifetime salaries of $400K per year for Bush and $? for Cheney. Obama/McCain - will you solemnly to GARNISH their lifetime salaries until the Error on Terror is completed paid back? - PLEASE

The leak came from Cheney's office which means it was approved my Mr. Cheney himself. Enough said. That is the reason people did not want to cross people in the Bush Administration.

Kim from Dallas, TX,

Your comment: Yes, Clinton was held responsible for FAR LESS than what has been covered up with Bush and company (AKA the Bush Crime Family).

My comment: Are you kidding me? Bush is doing what ANY other President would do and that's protect his VP. In this case who knows what the transcripts say, but if they are released then that sets a prescedent. One that then leaves no past discussions, meetings, private hearings safe from the public. I'm sorry but there are some things that we (as the general public) don't need to know. I would love to hear some of the things that Clinton said during his trials and such, but I never will and I'm ok with that. As for Bill doing FAR LESS than President Bush, don't think so. He not only committed adultery as President, but he did it in the OVAL OFFICE for goodness sake. He then lied about it when everyone already knew what happened. He lowered the world's opinion of us and gave the wrong impression to our youth about what moral's they should follow.

Hey Kathy did you forget about Jimmy Carter? Double digit inflation, gas rationing, Iran hostages, it sure didnt take Reagan long to get our captives back. Yeah Bush hasnt been the greatest but Jimmy Carter is by far the worst we've had thus far. And if Obama wins it will be close as to who is worse him or Jimmy.

I agree mostly with John (2:23 pm ET). Are Bush's actions questionable - OF COURSE. But its not like other administrations (Democratic and Republican alike) were that much different. Its just par for the course.

I want a different administration enough to vote for an unknown commodity.

Obama '08!

If we had an Attorney General worth his/her salt with Senator Kuccinch's guidance we could have ended the Error on Terror, The Leak near the Potomic and Corruption on the Hill years ago.

Unfortunately Justice has been BLIND to acts on the AMERICAN public for the past 7+ yrs.

Now these two have destroyed not only the American Dream of home ownership but are now trying to keep it under wraps, it seems the only body that's ensuring the 'truth' be known is CNN.

To bad it will be 25 yrs before the real 'truth' be known. A generation of our children will be exposed to this unethical and immoral example until the 21st Century version of the 'Pentagon Papers' is published.
