This made my night. For all you Bush haters out there, Just remember Bush got congressional approval for the war. If he is so dumb, How he be so smart as to fool them? (yellow cake was just flown out of Iraq BTW ( Poor Joe Wilson ) If the Democratic leadership was not pure 1960's liberal, more would have done. I think Pelosi's actions are killing all the "Blue dog" Democrats. Pelosi and Reid are so partisan, Not one single thing has been done. Congress writes laws. I don't see a lot do you?

Please tell me what you and your band of demos have done in the last 18 months since taking office. Before you took office, we had 3% growth in the economy, $2.50 per gallon for gasoline, 2% to 3% inflation and an unemployment rate of 4%. Now, the economy is "in recession" with 0% growth, gasoline is approaching $5.00 per gallon, the consumer price index is up 1.2% per month for the last 2 months with no chance of going down and the unemployment rate of 5.5%. Who is the failure here? I think it is you and Mr. Reid and the democrats that are the failures. Get a life and take some action!!! Stop blaming other for you pathetic actions which have been none!

OK. Let's study this. Pelosi is the leader of the do-nothing, most unpopular Congress. In fact, their popularity ratings are lower than Bush's. Bush has done something with his 2 terms. Things didn't all work out well, but he did respond correctly to the bombing of the World Trade Center. Pelosi wanted to brush up on her French. Seems to me that Pelosi should be replaced after the election. I'm sure they don't have enough sense to do it now. Leadership is lacking in this woman. In fact, common sense is missing in this woman.

I have seen the low Congresional approval rating get tagged to Nancy repeatedly in this thread. But what does it say when over 95% of all incumbents, including Nancy, continue to get reelected? The 14% approval rating for Congress is very misleading.

Given that Congress has about a 9% approval rating, I think Ms. Pelosi should save her stone throwing. She needs to be replaced under a new Obama Presidency. She is an abject failure. Bush may have failed, as well but his approval rating soars, compared to hers and that of Congress. She's a failed Speaker of the House on all measures.

I, too, am not much interested in hearing from the current lame duck Congress: given their lack of action, they are hard to take as anything but a failure themselves.

I'm more interested in today's report that the Bush administration is trying to lump contraception in with abortion and to regulate/(not)fund it accordingly. What, no response from the "I will vote for McCain" Hillary supporters? No protestations that McCain and the RNCn will be better for women than Obama, despite the latter's record? {crickets}

I thought not. And CNN, how can you not be covering that story?

Pelosi, from the start, was way too impressed with herself. In her very first interviews her focus was on "her" accomplishments, not on what she could do for the country. Though I hoped to see a woman succeed in high office, I realized immediately that she was the "Jesse Jackson" for women. Great clothes, good family, but jeeze what a joke of a leader. I'm not a Hilary fan, but at least she is credible as an official, not looked at as a "woman" politician. Pelosi needs someone to tell her that she has missed the "runway" .

Well, I agree with both Bush and Pelosi. Bush is a total failure and so is Congress. For crying out loud, they can't even get Karl Rove to walk in the door despite a subpeona and haven't done a thing about it.. They are gutless. The vote on the FISA bill proves that. Sure, go ahead and keep spying on our citizens.
I am a 100% Obama supporter and donater, but am totally bummed about his vote on that. What a gutless move. But being that McCain is so much worse, I'll continue to support Barack.

I agree with Pelosi on Bush-the worse President of my lifetime hands down.

But, Ms. Pelosi, you and Senator Reid have done such a poor job of being any kind of opposition to him. Now, I am not delusional like the right-wingers. I know the Senate is 49-49 and that the Democrats have a small majority in the house making it hard to override a veto. However, I do not see much effort other than on the Medicare bill this week.

I hope you will do a much better job for Senator Obama if he is (hopefully) elected.

I am so sick of the Bush bashing. Are there mistakes that Bush has made... of course. There are plenty of things that I think Bush has done, or not done, that are wrong. But, there are things that he has done that are right. Bush has failed at things and succeeded at things. However, this is the same with every President. Clinton failed at things too. There are things that Clinton did, or did not do, that disgust me. Before Pelosi and the rest of the whining, useless members of Congress talk, they might want to remember that Bush's approval rating is three times higher than theirs.
