Please, for the love of any, and everything you hold PRECIOUS, I AM NOT A MEAN SPIRITED PERSON, BUT, BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THAT GOD SHOULD STRIKE YOU DOWN, (I could have said something even worse) for your statement.

WHERE IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS GOOD IN THIS WORLD, DID YOU COME UPON your DISGUSTING INFORMATION ABOUT MICHELLE OBAMA? WHICH GARBAGE CAN WERE YOU RAIDING?And GUESS WHAT? Sen. McCain does not have to voice these DISGUSTING DIATRIBES, oh nooooooooooooo, he just gets HIS PRECIOUS SURROGATES TO DO IT!

AND California Independent, if I were you I would NOT SLANDER MICHELLE OBAMA. PLEASE LOOK IN CINDY'S CLOSET, YOU WILL FIND A DRUGGIE AND A THIEF WHO STOLE DRUGS FROM HER OWN CHARITY . DO YOU THINK THAT THIS WAS THE REASON HER OWN LOVING HUSBAND CALLED HER A C*** IN PUBLIC?

California Independent, I WOULD BE VERY, VERY, VERY, CAREFULL GOING DOWN THAT ROAD!

    California Independent,
But at least Obama was/are right, we are bitter at our wasteful republican government....
McCain is just not man enough to go out there and say what he wanna say, he uses people to do those kind of attacks, so he gets a feeling ground of what he can say or not say..

Why step down? We are a nation of "Whiners"...

We complain about everything and now we have a potential Commander and Chief that is one of the biggest of all whiners...

We whine if it's to hot, we whine if it's to cold... We even whine and acuse "the white man" for the "N" word... We all whine, yellow, black, white... We whine...

Why step down? He told the truth...

Tony, is a U.S. senator supposed to control taxes in his home state. I believe that's what state elected officials are for. You should be clear about if it was while he was a state senator or a U.S. senator. And about PG, I'm sure he's not bent out of shape about leaving the campaign. He and his (former Enron bigwig) wife are rolling in dough. He literally does not know people struggling day-to-day, month-to-month. I'm sure he's confused about why the rest of us are pissed!

    — Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America gave McCain a grade of D for his record of voting against veterans. (By contrast, Obama got a B+.)

    – Disabled Veterans of America noted McCain’s dismal 20 percent voting record on veterans’ issues. (Obama had an 80 percent.)

    – In a list of “Key Votes,” Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) notes McCain “Voted Against Us” 15 times and “Voted For Us” only 8. (Obama voted for VVA 12 times, and against only once.)

Gramm helped create the mortgage crisis. I dislike that far more than his offhand "whiners" comment. As for California, you aren't so Independent as you swing so far to the right you are lost over the horizon. Gramm now has the time to go back to financing pornography and focus on his lobbying.

Loks like Gramm was correct. He voices a fairly mild observation and half the country proves him correct

Is what he said not accurate? Candidates are going to continue to baby Americans for their votes. We as Americans are capable of great things, those days aren't over, but nobody is giving the American people the truth because as crazy as it sounds American Don't Want The Truth!

Every American and voter needs to be reading "Just How Stupid Are We?" by Rick Shenkman.

"It is disappointing to hear a surrogate make such negative, ignorant stereotypes of the American people. I'm glad he's gone. At least candidate McCain didn't do like Obama himself did and call the American people bitter, clingy and having antipathy towards those that don't look like them (racist.) At least candidate McCain's wife didn't do like Obama's wife and call the American people sloths, cynics and mean."

Go ahead!! Keep your guns!! But I don't wanna see you "whining" in the end when you're struggling.......and by the way, where the heck did you get that information on Michelle??? Are you sad that she's too much for you??? Are you jealous that she's a happy mom??? Or are you jealous that in fact, you do whine all the time??? It seems to me a win, win situation....

California Independent – First of all, Michell Obama did not say those words so stop lying.

Secondly, McCain may not have uttered the words himself, but her certainly treats us as if we are all too stupid to notice that he really does not know what he is doing. He has now started to drift towards Obama on Iraq AND Afghanistan even as recently as yesterday. I am sure he will try to make it look like Obama's stances were his all along.

MCAIN IS ALREADY TOO OLD TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT OF USA
It’s almost guaranteed that McCain will lose. He won’t be able to run in 2012 as he will be way too old. Right now he is just viewed as too old. Only 2% of people polled think someone in the 70’s is the best age for a President. So he has questionable health, is already viewed bu others as too old, and even states so himself: In the 2000 race he stated that he would be too old in 2008 to run again. So he is not trying to build momentum for a later victory, a-la-Reagan.”

Phil Gramm released a statement blaming the Obama campaign for his ouster. Instead he should take responsibility for comments that actually offended a lot of people who are not millionaires like Gramm. It is frightening to think that McCain would keep him at a top economic advisor as Gramm has a history of pushing for deregulation leading to eventual collapses. Gramm was good friends with Ken Lay from Enron, and his wife even worked for the company!

Gramm is the last person we need developing economic policy in this country and John McCain's apparent admiration of his economic career is frightening.
