Being bitter about politics and what you perceive as your government doing nothing, and holding onto those things one feels they have control over ( religion, guns ) is quite different than being called a nation of whiners because the economy is in the toliet for most americans. Why can't a guy tell the truth anymore? What do you call Lou Dobbs, for example? Is he the only one?

Bye Phil....wish it were Dr. Phil

The Dem's having been whining since, and this may bother many of you, so...please read it slowly so you don't hurt yourselves, since E-Gore lost and since Kerry lost. Non-mainstream America, which includes the Media Elite, the Elite (more rich than the Republicans) Rich on the left, the family friendly special interest groups (Killing Millions of Babies for Money aka Planned Parenthood, those Rainbow types teaching our kids about "my 2 dads," those supporting child porn aka ACLU, etc) and the stupid.

The Dem's and many of those who support them are morally and or intellectually bankrupt (or suffering from a severe intellectual drought).

I suppose when the top 1% pays almost 40% of the taxes and the bottom 50% pay a whopping 3%, folks get use to a free ride. Make the "rich" pay for everyting. Government funded everything. YOUR tax dollars at work. Obama and the left will destroy this country with their radical, socialist policies. Get a clue people.

The worst part about this, is McCain wets himself and falls all over the place to apologize and "make nice." He simply makes himself look like a bigger loser. He needs to grow a pair and step up to the stupidity on left. McCain sucks, but NObama and the left will be worse.

What a sad day in America when any official would have to step down for stating his/her belief just because it may hurt someones feelings. GROW UP citizens and stop your whining. Take a little more control of your own life without goverment and you will soon realize this country owes you nothing but security and freedom (to speak).

    California Independent,
Obama was absolutely right. The American people are BITTER about the fact that after billions of dollars and countless lives have been lost in this senseless war, that John McCain has the nerve to call it a "victory", yet has no intension of ending it. We're CLINGING onto the hope that our next president will be able to salvage what little respect the world still has left for us and reverse the downward spiral of our economy. And yes, contrary to popular belief (or at least your belief) RACISM is still very much alive in this country.

California independent, please stop calling yourself an independent. You're clearly partisan. Also, learn to speak and write properly. You seem just as dumb as the idiot you're supporting, and its only making him look worse. Obama is bad but clearly McCain is worse. I am not supporting either because I am a true independent who evaluates candidates on a non partisan basis. I never supported McCain for obvious reasons, and now I'm not supporting Obama because he directly lied and/or drastically changed his positon on NAFTA and FISA. I am reluctantly supporting Bob Barr out of principle even though I know he has no chance of victory with the media bias against candidates who aren't republicans or democrats.

    Barr '08

Get out of the trenches Bob and show the media and America what you're all about.

Thats the way it goes. Clinton had her own surrogates who said silly things that in time left the campaign... and they left. Obama had em... and they left. I am sure there will be more later. Maybe the next will say something stupid like "the only good Iranian is a dead Iranian" or "Saddam was merely misunderstood".

The only thing left for Gramm to do is complain about the "nattering nabobs of negativity."
