Reality challenged Democrats: A group of newspapers finished the 2000 FL recount that the Supreme Court stopped. Gore really, really lost. Google it and you'll see the results. So stop with the whining, eight years of it is enough already!

Why do some people seem to think Obama should take it personally whenever somebody says they don't want to be VP? There are many other things to consider besides whether they personally like Obama or whether they think like a PUMA freak and hate his guts - such as:
1) whether they want to expose themselves and their family to this kind of scrutiny
2) whether they want to put in the hard work of campaigning
3) whether they feel healthy enough
4) whether they have some dirt in their background that they don't want to bring the ticket down with (it's quite possible that some don't want to do it because they like Obama, not because they hate him)
5) whether they've already done this for 8 years, in the case of Al Gore, and would therefore be bored with it
6) what they leave behind (e.g., a Senate seat, or whatever their current occupation is)
7) how it affects their ability to pursue their own interests

And there may other considerations as well. Believe me, life is not just a big Hillary vs. Obama game of ego hockey.

Obama played dirty to steal the nomination. He trashed and bashed and destroyed a fellow democrat.

Now, as a life-long democrat, I will NOT play fair and fall into line and vote for this lying, hypocritical, cheating, reverse- racist.

I love it when Republicans run scared, you should have never let the NEOCONS into power in the first place. You guys have been looting the treasuries for the last 7 years. Now it's time for someone else to clean up the mess.

Kudos to Gore for being the champion of the planet. I think he is better served as a spokesman for Mother Earth then as VP and that doesn't go with the "New Guard" philosophy anyway.

You angered Republicans should direct your anger at your own party and stop hurling childish insults at Obama.

Not that it any of this matters because we are the United Corporations of America. We all know who really calls the shots.

Peace out.

Obama is a self-serving demagogue who created a celebrity bandwagon to promote himself, skillfully played the race card to divide the party and secure the AA vote that he was lacking till then, manipulated the biased media into orchestrating his glitzy pop show, appealed to those impressed by image with an engineered rock icon persona and threatened his way into a superdelegate deluge of a "win?"

WHO WOULD VOTE FOR SUCH A MAN?

No one who believes in fair paly, fair campaigns, the right to vote, the democratic process.

That is why we now have a party divided.

Well, Al, my esteem for you just increased a bit.

BTW, here's what FactCheck just said about Obama's "energy policy":

FactCheck: Obama released a national ad saying he would "fast-track alternatives" to imported oil. On closer examination, his proposal is to spend $150 billion over the coming decade on energy research. Ten years doesn't sound all that "fast" to us, and there's no guarantee that the research will result in less oil being imported.

All of this is smoke and mirrors. All of the "potential" VP's deny the position so when Hillary is asked it seems as if she is the only choice so its not obvious that the Obama campaign was desperate for her non-racist supporters.

I am so sick of reading all the hate filled blogs. Some of you people just aren't American at ALL. If you don't like Obama's beliefs and positions on politics that's one thing, but you people talk about him with such hatred. You have to wonder if it's nothing more than just racism. How can you possibly hate someone you don't know? You can not his stance, but to hate is pure evil. Whether you like him or not - he isn't an idiot, or evil, or a loser or any of the things some of you suggest. He is a very successful smart human being. He is a successful lawyer who ran a successful law firm and he wrote for the Harvard Law reveiew. There nothing stupid about him. I am so sick of the HRC supporters and the Republicians. Do you really think you are better than everyone else on here? Well, you're not any better and some ways you're worse, because all you do is spread hatred. You aren't contributing anything to this world - nothing. This should be about policies and what we need to make this country better - nothing more.

To the exquisitely clever "Nobama" Haters and "Gore the Bore" intelligensia: It is obvious you voted for George W. Bush not once, but twice. Do you really, honestly, think the rest of us value your opinion - not just on politics, but anything? Barack will carefully chose his running mate and after he wins in November he will attempt to shore up a thoroughly demoralized country left in tatters by the man you chose - you chose - to lead the country. Many thanks to you from Osama bin Laden.

Obama forced his way to where he now is- without any merits, any track history of accomplishments and without any qualifications.

Now he must persuade the party that he deserves the nomination that he strong-armed, cheated, threatened, bullied and played the race card to attain.

The celebrity bandwagon, fueled by the media pushed Obama to where he is. The super delegates then carried him across the finish line- under threats by African Americans to black out the vote, and the newbies to stay home.

Guess what? White people, older women, blue collar workers- the CORE base of the democratic party- can stay home or vote for another candidate JUST as easily.

So in the future... stop with those strategies just to install your nominee.

I will never vote for the one who stole the nomination from the true winner.

Clinton, Biden, or even Obama could be Gore's VP.

Gore has more White House experience than any current candidate, and is the only leader smart enough to bring America out of the Oil Age.

He is a Vietnam vet, and Nobel Prize winner who would bring respect back to the presidency, and America.

In my opinion, it is a huge insult for Gore to be considered as a VP...

President Gore could unite those who have to settle on the current choices of sub standard offerings.

Plus, he already won once.

Ship of fools? Train wreck? Perfect descriptions of the whole obama thing. Regarding both gore and obama, couldn't we add terms like sham, fake, snake oil sales, vain, etc? Both of these clowns think their schtick is going to save the world. I'm just trusting the American voter comes to its senses in time.

All these different names thrown out there about who the pick is going to be shows just immature the Democratic party is. The obvious choice is Hillary Clinton and then we should move on. So what if they had a tough fight in the primary. Grow up and do whats right and winnable. The Republicans do it all the time and they usually win. She is the only one who has run and excelled on a national campaign. The others are just regional candidates and the region usually extends no further then their home state. If for Obama its really about whats best for the country and not just egotistical politics then he would choose her and get elected in November.

I cant believe all these idiots on here saying Obama is going to lose the election! The few people who will vote McBush are either complete idiots or cry babies that are still mad about Hillary and if your one of those HRC supporters, please dont be stupid. Obama and HRC have very very comparable views and McBush represents the complete opposite of HRC. So you cry babies that still want HRC as preident and threaten to vote McBush, just take your right hand and slap yourself upside your head cause that truely would be the dumbest idea, i mean even dumber than BUSH! Also, I wanna comment on Glenn Beck, I just love watching you McBush supporters whine! Its funny to see those republicans squirm. And this is to the public who watches these political shows, Dont believe everything they say, last night some tard on foxnews was telling how Obamas tax increase would apply to everyone and thats not true, it only applies to families making MORE THAN 250K a year and those that make that kinda of money dont have the same problems that face the majority of us ie; gas prices, housing concerns, inflation, medical. So to break it down, go have another bowl of stupid so it will keep ya busy with the crackerbox toy, that way we dont have to listen to ya whine!

Even Gore doesn't want to be Obama's running mate. You got to wonder what all these people re afraid of. He is pretty much guaranteed to win at this point , so why wouldn't you want to be VP.

Maybe people are worried that Obama will bomb out during his first term and they don't want to get burned by it.

Everyone knows that Hillary Clinton has the best health care plan. Everyone- supporters and haters alike- know that Hillary is 100% committed to providing ALL Americans with affordable Healthcare.

Yes... other countries do it- and IT IS NOT FREE. To make it happen, EVERYONE must be included and it must be paid for by ALL.

Of course there are subsidies and rebates and free care for those without the finacial means to pay... but those WHO can pay, MUST.

That is how the rest of the civilized world does it.

NO TO any PLAN but HRC's. I am voting AGAINST Obama's health care plan. It is a joke. Give it for free to a few, and let the others decided to opt out if they wish to. How is that UNIVERSAL? Who pays for the health care of ALL those who choose to opt out? Those people get sick and have diseases and accidents just like everyone else.

Sorry... but Obama and McCain have similar NON- plans. Both of them feel the need to knock down HILL's plan- the GOLD standard.

I will wait for the REAL deal- till then, must block Obama's plan from getting a foot in the door. It will be impossible to eradicate once it roots and it will be an absolute nightmare. The DRUG companies OWN Obama. Hillary knows how to do war with them.

Jeff...

I think most people believe global warming... the argument is if we are causing it... or if we could even do anything about it. If it's natural... (which history shows its happened before)... then all we can do is watch.

>If Hillary Clinton had been a man, it would have gone to the convention.

Not true. First, there was no conspiracy against "the woman", despite what you Clinton supporters want to believe.

Second, if anything, Clinton got help from millions of Republican voters due to people like Rush Limbaugh and his so called "Operation Chaos". She got millions of votes from Republicans attempting to sway the Democratic election to the candidate they thought was weaker (Clinton) because McCain already locked up his nomination. Clinton never got 18 million votes. That is an exageration. There is no doubt that she also got numerous votes from racist whites who do not want a black man in the White House. Yet Obama still won.

If anything, Clinton had all the advantages. She was not slighted, and there was no conspiracy. Yes, 2 states broke the rules, and after they were warned what would happen if they did. But that is not Obamas fault. And it would not have changed the election anyway. Clinton still loses, even if she gets all the delgates from both Florida and Michigan.

People are sick of the old guard - and that includes the Clintons. It is time for change, and the CLintons are not change, just more of the same.
