Oil, which is traded in dollars, is obviously more expensive because of the devaluation of the dollar. Each of the two mainstream candidates can talk all they want about supply, demand and speculation but the main culprit of high oil prices is the devaluation of the dollar. I welcome the parallel convention as we need to spur on legitimate debate in this country, not the same tired platforms. I want an America of sound money, sound foreign policy and liberty. I do not wish to be caught in an argument between two political parties deeply rooted outside the interests of the average citizen.
