Yes, please select Bobby Jindal as VP. Now we just have right-wing loonies who think there's something scandalous about Obama's middle name. If Jindal is McCain's running mate, maybe we'll get some left-wing loonies to insist on calling him by his given name, "Piyush."

Jindal is an odd ball, with a medical background but very antiquated views on evolution and "intelligent design." It's amazing to see how he's been able to use his intellect to adopt views that are clearly bizarre in the modern world, just to pander to a group of voters.

Also, news flash everyone. It's not going to be lieberman, either. They pick VP's to balance a ticket. McCain already has problems with the right wing, how could he pick someone arguably farther left than he is?

Bad move for Jindal. If Obama wins (which he will) and has a terribly rough four years (which he will) Jindal could run for the Whitehouse in four years.

This McCain thing is a losing proposition for him.

After reviewing names for McCain's VP...I'm concerned John is not addressing his biggest weakness and a very important issue for the US...lack of experience on the economy. I would think McCain would be smarter to look at someone like STEVE FORBES for VP. I get tired of Presidential candidates primarily looking at what state their VP would bring. I know you need to be elected first, but I think both should be looking beyond the election and consider who is best when he is governing. As we all know....the person that has a winning campaign to be elected...does not mean much on how well he will govern the country.

If McCain would pick Jindal as his running mate, it would be a rather transparent attempt by the GOP to appeal to minority voters, which it has frankly ignored in its policies. It's amusing when Republicans complain that minority voters choose Democrats out of habit then turn around and propose policies that target those same minority voters.

Naming Jindal his VP would certainly undercut his argument that Obama is too young and inexperienced to be commander-in-chief. The VP has to be someone ready to step in at a moments notice, and Jindal is younger and more inexperienced than Obama.

Governor Jindal has more executive experience than does Senator Obama. Not to mention the fact that the White House hasn't been won without a Southerner on the ticket for ages.

If McCain does pick Jindal, I may consider voting for him. Otherwise, it's Alan Keyes for me!

Once again the liberal base is putting words in peoples mouths and not doing their homework.

Keep dreaming.

1. Jundal won't be the VP

-AND-

2. He wasn't the governor during Katrina

The fact of the matter is, the real deciding factor is who Obama selects as VP, not McCain.

And truth be told, both candidates will make terrible Presidents. TERRIBLE. Both of the candidates base decisions on their gut (aka the party lines) instead of the master document (the constitution). Almost 90% of what they say they will do in public is beyond the powers extended to them in the constitution.

As a Louisiana native and lived there thru governor Edwards(convicted of illegal gambling), believe me, being the governor is setting the height of the bar pretty low. Just look at how the past governor Kathy handled Katrina. Now Jindal loses track of supplies and supplies. I would thing McCrypt is visiting to personally tell him he did not make the final cut, before he announces his choice.

While we are on the subject of bad governor choices, what about HRH, he has certainly turned out to be an individual of stellar integrity and intelligence..........

Lol, is this a joke? Jindal has no chance. He's from Louisiana. Republicans are not going to lose Louisiana.
There are much better candidates to appeal to the far right. Well, go for it McCain, I want Obama to win anyways.

If Bobby Jindal is selected (I don't think he will be... McCain will fall into the trap of picking Flip Romney), the question will inevitably come up in places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana about what exactly Bobby Jindal was doing working for McKinsey as a consultant.

Do a little digging and you'll find he was busy working for Lakshmi Mittal and ArcelorMittal, which took over American steel company ISG.

I wonder what the Lou Dobbs crowd would think of that?

CNN won't post this because I'm sure they contract work to McKinsey as well and wouldn't want negative comments about their Sith Masters.

In all honestly, McCain has dug himself into way too many holes, and does not have enough personality (John Kerry anybody?) He could pick Jesus as his running mate and still lose.

Jindal? Hmm, I mean I guess he's qualified for VP, if McCain sees him as more of a manager. He was State University President, Congressman, and Governor. Having said that, I'm backing Obama because the biggest issue is foreign policy, an issue that McCain was wrong on, and that Jindal has less experience than Obama on.

Jindal should continue to build his resume for a future national run. I find the liberals on these blogs with their charges that the Republicans are racist interesting. Afterall, it was the Democrats that brought race and sexism charges to the forefront in the Clinton/Obama race. Also, I find it interesting that whenever Republicans appoint minorities to high level positions - Powell, Rice, Chow, etc, the left calls the appointees derogatory names such as uncle toms. It is the left that is intolerant of any divergence from the standard left ideology/doctrine.

I can repeat the words 'change' and 'future' over and over again, too... does that make me qualified to be President?

Obam goes abroad and trying to establish good foreign policies and McCain -what he does? Continuously criticise. Cann't he atleast keep his mouth shut for couple of days until Obama returns? McCain talks nonsense about patriotism and winning the war. War mongering and cheer leading for capital punishment? Just get rid of thes old folk like McCain with his outmoded practices..Getting sick of him really.

This is so funny I can't stop laughing. Call it what you want, but this guy looks more Islamic than Barack Obama ever could even with a turban. The fact that he is so much younger and less experienced than Obama is also laughable. McCain who at times looks like he won't make it another year, would want us to vote for him knowing that this guy would be the next in line for the seat in the Whitehouse. The Republican election scenario just keeps getting funnier and funnier. Rush Limbaugh likes him though. I'm sure the religious nutjobs will think he is great also. Maybe he can perform an exorcism on the Republican party. Oh excuse me, there wouldn't be one then. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.

Face it Democrats, OBAMA is a poor choice for president as he has little experience to be Commander in Chief.

This fact will not go away no matter how many media journalists you have on your side.

Jindal in short, saved Louisiana's hospital system before the age of 30, Served a term already in Congress (seems a few Obamanation supporters didn't know this), restored the integrity to a state that badly needed it, was the only Louisiana Congressional or gubernatorial person from Louisiana to ever get anything accomplished for Katrina recovery, and has done more in his governorship of Louisiana than his predecessor, Democrat Kathleen Bimbo Blanco.

I cant see the Conservative racists voting for Jindal as VP. I hope he is picked. That will mean most of the Republican racists will just stay home.
You know they only base decisions off of what a name sounds like.

Get real. Does anyone actually believe that the republicans would support this guy as a VP? They may like his politics, they may like his youth, but there is no way they will ever support him on the ticket.
I agree with the other postings, this is just an attempt by the MCain camp to steal attention from Obama with Rush helping out.

Great choice...but I worry about the controversy:

Jindal is a creationist and McCain is older than Adam.

The religious right will just have to to work it out amongst themselves.

An exorcist prevailing over the Senate will be cool, though.

Remember Democrats it was the Republicans that freed the slaves and it was the Democrats that fought to keep them enslaved and Democrats lynched blacks by the boat load.

You guys elected a KKK clansman to congress for years and years and you have the nerve to accuse Republicans for Racism?

Here is a hint for you. Republicans put Blacks more into power than Democrats.

J.C. Watts, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Michael Steele, Condi Rice, Colin Powell etc. - These people are not Democrats!

This is an obvious ruse. John McCain is no more going to pick Bobby Jindal than Barack Obama is going to pick Chuck Hagel. This entire experiment is designed to take attention from Senator Obama's historic trip to the Middle East and Europe while at the same time attacking Obama for a surge strategy which would not have been needed if we had not invaded that country in the first place. I would only hope that independent, intelligent people would see through this stuff and demand that the media report the news in a factual manner minus the opinions and innuendos.

Funny: He chose the name "Bobby" after watching Bobby Brady from the Brady Bunch on TV. His real name is Piyush. I think McCain should pick the actual Bobby Brady, Mike Lookinland. He's a racecar driver. That's cool. However, Piyush can likely fix the code on government websites to make them easier to navigate. I'm just thinking out loud here.

AND what Military Experience does Jindal have? You know, in case McCain doesn't last? You know, the military experience he says Obama lacks. Furthermore, he endoresed George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004 and the only military expereience Bush had was being a playboy in the Texas Air National Guard. GO DEMOCRATS!!

I was originally very heartened to hear about Jindal's rise in Louisiana.

Now, with the more I hear about him - the more he scares me. Not only did he sign a bill to allow for the teaching of Intelligent Design in schools, but he claims to have performed an Exocist on a CLOSET! (he has a YouTube video where he talks about his Fundamentalist beliefs & Exocisms).

Scary Guy!
