Yes, please select Bobby Jindal as VP. Now we just have right-wing loonies who think there's something scandalous about Obama's middle name. If Jindal is McCain's running mate, maybe we'll get some left-wing loonies to insist on calling him by his given name, "Piyush." Jindal is an odd ball, with a medical background but very antiquated views on evolution and "intelligent design." It's amazing to see how he's been able to use his intellect to adopt views that are clearly bizarre in the modern world, just to pander to a group of voters.

After reviewing names for McCain's VP...I'm concerned John is not addressing his biggest weakness and a very important issue for the US...lack of experience on the economy. I would think McCain would be smarter to look at someone like STEVE FORBES for VP. I get tired of Presidential candidates primarily looking at what state their VP would bring. I know you need to be elected first, but I think both should be looking beyond the election and consider who is best when he is governing. As we all know....the person that has a winning campaign to be elected...does not mean much on how well he will govern the country.

If McCain would pick Jindal as his running mate, it would be a rather transparent attempt by the GOP to appeal to minority voters, which it has frankly ignored in its policies. It's amusing when Republicans complain that minority voters choose Democrats out of habit then turn around and propose policies that target those same minority voters.

Naming Jindal his VP would certainly undercut his argument that Obama is too young and inexperienced to be commander-in-chief. The VP has to be someone ready to step in at a moments notice, and Jindal is younger and more inexperienced than Obama.

The fact of the matter is, the real deciding factor is who Obama selects as VP, not McCain.

And truth be told, both candidates will make terrible Presidents. TERRIBLE. Both of the candidates base decisions on their gut (aka the party lines) instead of the master document (the constitution). Almost 90% of what they say they will do in public is beyond the powers extended to them in the constitution.

As a Louisiana native and lived there thru governor Edwards(convicted of illegal gambling), believe me, being the governor is setting the height of the bar pretty low. Just look at how the past governor Kathy handled Katrina. Now Jindal loses track of supplies and supplies. I would thing McCrypt is visiting to personally tell him he did not make the final cut, before he announces his choice.

While we are on the subject of bad governor choices, what about HRH, he has certainly turned out to be an individual of stellar integrity and intelligence..........

If Bobby Jindal is selected (I don't think he will be... McCain will fall into the trap of picking Flip Romney), the question will inevitably come up in places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana about what exactly Bobby Jindal was doing working for McKinsey as a consultant.

Do a little digging and you'll find he was busy working for Lakshmi Mittal and ArcelorMittal, which took over American steel company ISG.

I wonder what the Lou Dobbs crowd would think of that?

CNN won't post this because I'm sure they contract work to McKinsey as well and wouldn't want negative comments about their Sith Masters.

Jindal should continue to build his resume for a future national run. I find the liberals on these blogs with their charges that the Republicans are racist interesting. Afterall, it was the Democrats that brought race and sexism charges to the forefront in the Clinton/Obama race. Also, I find it interesting that whenever Republicans appoint minorities to high level positions – Powell, Rice, Chow, etc, the left calls the appointees derogatory names such as uncle toms. It is the left that is intolerant of any divergence from the standard left ideology/doctrine.

Jindal in short, saved Louisiana's hospital system before the age of 30, Served a term already in Congress (seems a few Obamanation supporters didn't know this), restored the integrity to a state that badly needed it, was the only Louisiana Congressional or gubernatorial person from Louisiana to ever get anything accomplished for Katrina recovery, and has done more in his governorship of Louisiana than his predecessor, Democrat Kathleen Bimbo Blanco.

This is an obvious ruse. John McCain is no more going to pick Bobby Jindal than Barack Obama is going to pick Chuck Hagel. This entire experiment is designed to take attention from Senator Obama's historic trip to the Middle East and Europe while at the same time attacking Obama for a surge strategy which would not have been needed if we had not invaded that country in the first place. I would only hope that independent, intelligent people would see through this stuff and demand that the media report the news in a factual manner minus the opinions and innuendos.

I was originally very heartened to hear about Jindal's rise in Louisiana.

Now, with the more I hear about him – the more he scares me. Not only did he sign a bill to allow for the teaching of Intelligent Design in schools, but he claims to have performed an Exocist on a CLOSET! (he has a YouTube video where he talks about his Fundamentalist beliefs & Exocisms).
