Bush will address RNC, but will he appear with McCain?

No word yet on whether Bush will appear with McCain at RNC.

(CNN) - White House Press Secretary Dana Perino has confirmed that President Bush will address the Republican National Convention on its first night.

Perino told reporters today at the White House briefing that President Bush will deliver a speech on September 1, Labor Day. She said incumbent presidents traditionally address the RNC on the first night of the convention.

The White House has not yet said whether Bush might appear with presumptive nominee John McCain at the convention. The two men have made few joint public appearances since McCain effectively claimed his party’s nomination this spring, as the president’s approval ratings continue to hover near historic lows.

Republicans will hold their convention September 1-4, 2008 in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. Democrats are slated to hold their convention the week before in Denver, Colorado.

My guess is... they get bush "out of the way" REALLY early... and hell no.... jonny-mac will NOT be appearing with "the decider"...

(can you imagine the democratic commercials with the two of them hugging it out on the convention stage, with chants of "four more years")...

will never happen.... that's a democratic strategists wett dream...

Both of these self serving, ancient thinking, elitest, old men spell nothing but trouble for the Republican cause, especially if they appear together.

Lesley – No, what does it tell us. if you have nothing to say then please don't make comments. McCain is his own man has been his own man and will continue to be his own man. Unlike Obama, who will be the BOY of, Kennedy, Kerry, Pelosi, Kerry, Dean, Byrd and etc of the DNC. He can not affect change unless it meets the approval of these MANY, MANY, MANY COMBINED YEARS OF OLD OPPOSITION SITTING IN CONGRESS AND THE SENATE. YOU THINK THEY WON'T HAVE TO APPROVE EVERYTHING OBAMA DOES. THEN THINK AGAIN OBAMA IS NOT HIS OWN MAN. FIRST PLACE HE DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE OF BEING HIS OWN MAN. HE CAN'T DEPEND ON HIS UN-PATRIOTIC WIFE MICHELLE TO TELL HIM WHAT TO DO. MAYBE HE CAN GET SOME INFORMATION FROM REV. WRIGHT AND REV. JACKSON. BUT I THINK HE BURNT HIS BRITCHES WITH THEM ALSO. SO HE'S A LAME DUCK EVEN BEFORE HE TAKES OFFICE.
