If you go back to the Jimmy Carter day you can figure out why we have oil shortages, high gas prices, no refineries and no nuclear power. Over the years the democrats have always blocked these actions to enhance our own resources. I think the states that let their coast lines and land used to supply coal ,oil and nuclear ought to have the right to raise their price for out of state customers who refuse to take advantage of these resources if they have them. Let the states like california , colorado , the eastern seaboard and other west coast states pay $8.00 a gallon for gas and a few extra thousand dollars for there home energy. I am 60 years old and I know of one Nuclear accident in Russia during my life time. Now I have seen plenty of flooding and forest fires due to the enviro- nuts wanting to save a field mouse or a snail. Also cnn get off the "Black In America " kick .You act like they have had it so hard compared to the rest of america. Give me a break. Since the 60's they have had every opportunity in the world handed to them on a silver platter. It is time to wrok as many of them have done and make their place in America or do like the blacks that are whining, sit in the Ghetto or hood and draw freebe checks. I applaud the blacks who don't whine and fit in to america ,have jobs and contribute to america. I will not leave the white trash out either . Get a job or starve.

Lance, Lance, Lance.
I was once one of your biggest fans, and proudly defended your honor when the critics doubted your lab results from the Tour.
But the moment you step on stage with McLoser, I will never be able to look at you the same again.
Put Landis on the stage with McLoser, but not you!
Disappointed.................

McSame can go work in the oil rig for a change...at least that will be a good photo-ops for more oil drilling!

to think that he gave credit to George Dubya for a $10 drop in the barrel of oil...not a single cent drop in the price of gas per gallon in the pump is appalling.

even george dubya cannot claim credit...because we are NOT YET feeling an ease at the pump price JUST YET!

SO MCSAME....HERE GOES YOUR MISGUIDED DOUBLE TALK AND FAILED POLICIES SPIRALLING OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a VERY good thing their wasn't a bunch of oil rigs out there, like McCain wants...You think oil is expensive now, wait until a hurricane hits and takes them all off-line...Plus we don't have the refinaries to process the oil...Don't believe his hype, it's BS.....

It seems like McCain is getting angrier evry day. Instead of doing what he is supposed to do, he is wasting too much time accusing Barack Obama. Seriously, If you ask McCain what is the capital city of Texas, he would say Hmm Obama was against the surge and he still thinks the surge does not work.
It is beyond loughable......
I hope Armstrong will tell him to take it easy and tunnel the anger to some other energy

McCain has the right stance on drilling for oil as the republicans do. Every time I hear the democrats about their stupid do nothing policy I want tp puke. If Bill Clinton had not vetoed the bill that the republicans put forth in the 90's we would already be getting the benefits from them sources off shore and in Anwr.. We can listen to the democrats and still be dependent on the Arab oil for eternity or we can use our own resources. Votes in this house will all be for John McCain and the reppublicans straight tickets . I am tired of the whining do nothing democrats.

I flip channels when your reporters get too mushy about michelle and barack. Who wants to listen to biased reporting?

McCain keeps saying that the price of oil dropped because Bush wants to allow offshore drilling. Some people say that the price is dropping because the Democrats are looking at the speculators. I think that its going to drop back to "almost" acceptable levels because oil countries fear that if the price stays too high, the US, under an Obama administration will look at alternative energies and Obama will spend that 150 billion dollars on alternatives. The oil countries do not want to lose us as a customer.

McHussein is a candiate for all those who believe peace can be achieved by electing someone with a muslim name. This is a fact that none of you will admit because your white guilt causes you to vote for symbolism over substance. Ouch the Truth Hurts! Doubtful the CNN gatekeepers for Obama will post this.

Jim in Orlando,

Your mention of God reminds of the hypocrite in the Bible who went to the temple to pray to thank God that he is not like the tax collector who is a sinner. Stop mentioning the name of God in the same breath as you condemn Obama. Oh, hang on - you live in Orlando - the land of fantasy...
Just face it - nobody wants to cover McDinosaur... He lies, his memory falters and his reasoning is distorted...

Posters: Your analysis is really crazy. Instead of insulting each other, why don't you actually try comparing issues!

Obama STRETCHED the truth in Israel, say HIS committee (a banking committee he isn't even on). Doesn't it bother anyone that he doesn't mind telling untruths if he thinks no one will know. Is THAT the kind of integrity we look for in a man or woman vying for the highest office in America? Wouldn't it be better to actually question BOTH candidates when they lie about something? Clinton was asked about the sniper fire directly, and she said, "I don't know why I said that. I wrote about it in my book, and I knew what had happened. I was wrong. I only hope the American people can forgive me."

Who actually has more integrity? The person that admits they lied, and asks for forgiveness...or the person that expects supporters, surrogates and others to explain away what they think he might have really meant?

Maggie Muggins you are so right.
We've got people who vote a straight party. It wouldn't matter if a dog were running for President, they would vote for him. They've voted that way their whole life and they can't see beyond the end of their noses. Proof is right in front of us. We have something that the rest of the world including Canada can see and yet we could let him slip right thru our fingers and actually come out looking like a country of idiots. The polls say that most Republicans are not excited about their nominee yet they will vote for him. Why aren't they excited? Could it be because he's not the man for the job?? Yes, but will they admit it? NO. How they could be so stupid is beyond me. It is beyond reality. It is just darn scary. We will loose the respect of so many nations if McCain is elected. It will be one of the biggest blows this nation could suffer at a time when we need to make a big change and set forth a different set of values.

McSame should use the extra time to go over the time line in Iraq. You would think he would get this right, but no.

Why would big oil overproduce and drive down their record profits?

Wow. Someone high up in CNN certainly decided that this is McCain week as CNN must be seen as an independent voice regardless of where the real news is.

Or did the RNC warchest pay for some air time?

What kind of idiot would plan a campaign event on a Gulf rig in hurricane season? Is this an example of the type of planning and foresight which could be expected from a McCain presidency?

"While Nobama globe-trots around the world like the inexperienced boy-wonder neophyte that he is, at least McCain is trying to focus attention on the real problems and his solutions."

Most ironic statement I've come across in ages. McCain is the one who's usually all over the place (Canada, South America) while Obama is at home discussing actual issues with understanding. When Obama starts to travel because McCain taunts him about not doing it, he gets flak for it. Thats the kind of hypocracy that is going to get McCain sunk (along with his total lack of understanding of anything economical)

Supply and demand drives oil prices. In Canada as the states as fuel prices go way up, so does carpooling, transit system use and staying at home. Lower demand means surplus and lower prices. Saying a threat of more oil rigs lowered oil prices is like our politicians saying they have a surplus in the budget because of fiscal responsibility rather than more tax due to high gas prices.

We have tens of thousands of square miles of empty desert in the west that could power the US if exploited correctly! Why waste time searching for oil that might not even be there instead of using said alternatives we have available and pushing newer ones? Do the oil companies just want to rule the planet? Is that why they're pushing for more land than they will ever need?

2. "On that day I decided I would not wear that flag pin." Riiiiight...now all of a sudden you wear it EVERY DAY! Obama is a hypocrite.

3. "I am open to a publicly financed campaign if the other side is willing to do so." McCain selects to use public financing and Obama denies it (first time in history!) Obama is that's right...once again...a hypocrite!

And you people want him to be president?

I Agree.

McCain and His Supporters Are So Jealous Of Obama!

I thought McCain said this would be a clean campaign. It's one thing coming from his supporters, but for McCain to be personally saying Obama wants to lose in Iraq is lower than low.

All week McCain has been attacking and not able to stay on message!
I hope he views himself on T.V and realize what happened to straight talk. He has been purely ranting and confused even when pointed out in his own words.
I think you may need to make more changes someone is advising you out of your character.............the one we all enjoyed. Where did he go?

Don't even mention those silly ads. We really want to hear your positives I know there's a message somewhere. It appears you put Obama even in your spotlight.
In all respect some of your attack comments are just down right tacky.
From one that says he will stick to issues.
Obama has not took the low road.......yet! I'm sure if this continues he will bring out all your negatives and your wife's past. I'm glad to say we don't want to see that ugliness coming out one one side is enough for me!

This story would not even have to be told if McCain did something progressive (in front of an oil rig??) or worthy of attracting positive attention as he and his campaign is seeking so desperately to do.

Maggie Muggins, thank you for your post. After the last eight years, especially, we may be left to our own devices while we self-destruct, as the current methodology has been to act alone in spite of good counsel towards restraint, and avoiding working together for the common good. There has been egocentric leadership for too long. You may be right. There just might come a time when our beloved nation will be looked upon with such disdain for her mypopic, adolescent style of independence. Please pray for us to grow up to consider the ramifications of our behavior. Please get a prayer chain going that the world does not give up on this beautiful nation, and that we would make the "right for U.S., right for the world" choice in Barack Obama.

It was reported in Denver that the DNC has not been paying state and federal gas tax for the last four months, enjoying the same benefits as police officers for police vehicles only.

So let me get this straight. The SAME PEOPLE that said the gas tax would not do anything to help America is CHEATING and not paying gas tax.

The city's attorney general ordered them to pay the tax and no charges will be filed... yet.

I have never seen a politician act in such a jealous childish manner.
I am completely ashamed for this man. McCain insisted Obama make this trip, now he pouts about it. Pathetic, so very pathetic

Cancer is a very important issue... much more than Iraq at this point.

Cancer is a top killer and more children today are getting struck by cancers of all types.

McCain is on point.

McCain is truly pathetic. He, the darling of the media for so many years, is behaving like a spoiled little brat competing with a sibling for mommy's attention. And all because he's not the center focus now and has to share and even yield some of the limelight with Obama. Do we really want this ill-tempered, frightened, and immature-acting type of man as President? I think not.He has nothing new or creative to offer us on the economy, foreign policy, or the war on terror either. At a time when our economic downslide is broad and deep, he even admits the economy is not his strong suit. So what does he do? He endorses the same ol' Bushonomics which have destroyed our economy in the first place. DUH! So no matter what clever photo ops or gimmicks McCain or his campaign come up to steal media attention, it won't matter: OBAMA is CLEARLY the better candidate!

Jindal said he would not be interested in being VP a LOOOONG time ago, why is it news now? You are digging up old news to make McCain look bad just because so many have refused to be Obama's VP.

Hey Mc Cain Guys, please take time to explain to your candidate what is the definition of the word "Surge". That Iraq does not share border with pakistan. I don't see any news paper making buzz about all these regular mistakes. Please tell him that there is a real difference between shia and sunnis.
That oil price is not going down thanks to Bush policies or up because of Obama. Stop taking people for fools. There are lot of contradictions in his words and that would make Mc Cain launch a 3rd world war by "mistake", that he is the only one to think that he can take Russia out of the G8 club...
What a dummy!
