Sen. John McCain's campaign is doing what it can to counter the publicity from Sen. Barack Obama's trip.

(CNN) - Sen. John McCain sharpened his attacks against Sen. Barack Obama on Thursday, saying he'd rather give a speech in Germany as president than as a presidential candidate.

Obama was in Berlin for the latest leg of an international trip intended to bolster his foreign policy credentials at home and set out his vision for a new era of transatlantic cooperation.

McCain was campaigning Thursday in Ohio, focusing on health care.

Speaking to reporters outside Schmidt's Restaurant and Banquet Haus, a German eatery in Columbus, Ohio, McCain responded to Obama's Berlin speech, which attracted large crowds at the Victory Column.

"Well, I'd love to give a speech in Germany ... a political speech or a speech that maybe the German people would be interested in," he said. "But I would much prefer to do it as president of the United States rather than as a candidate for the office of the presidency."

Now Obama says it's not a political move, though! His supporters believe that but we know better, right Mr. McCain? I mean all US senators go on a rock star tour of the world, just to say hello.

Barack is close to violating The Logan Act:

The Logan Act, codified at 18 U.S.C. § 953, states: Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both. This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply, himself or his agent, to any foreign government or the agents thereof for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.

Either he is blatantly lying about the surge or he's just so senile he honestly can't remember the time line. Do we really need a president who is either a lier or senile?

Uh... Didn't he speak in Canada while he was a presidential candidate... am I missing something?

Why didn't he wait til he was president to travel to Iraq and speak in Canada?

Why didn't he wait til he divorced his first wife to start up with Cindy?

Waiting isn't his style. Preemptiveness and uprovoked aggresiveness is. You may THINK that's a good thing, but think about it a while. See a problem?

He's just bitter because Obama squashed his one arguement.

Obama has no foreign affairs experience. McCain challenged him to check out the Middle East. So Obama travels the globe and shows just how presidential he can be. Now McCain needs to find something new to attack, so why not attack the idea of visiting other countries that was McCain's idea in the first place.

The man supports a continued presence in Iraq. He has no understanding of technology. He openly admits knowing nothing about the economy. And now he gets trumped on foreign relations.

Time for some more attack ads!
