(CNN) - Sen. John McCain sharpened his attacks against Sen. Barack Obama on Thursday, saying he'd rather give a speech in Germany as president than as a presidential candidate.
Obama was in Berlin for the latest leg of an international trip intended to bolster his foreign policy credentials at home and set out his vision for a new era of transatlantic cooperation.

"Well, I'd love to give a speech in Germany ... a political speech or a speech that maybe the German people would be interested in," he said. "But I would much prefer to do it as president of the United States rather than as a candidate for the office of the presidency."

Guess McCain won't be making a speech in Germany then!
He will NOT and can NOT be the President of our great nation! He lacks the tact and temperment to be a true leader...
WHINER!!!!! Nobody will play with me. Pathetic, sad little man!!! Sounds like a little kid looking from outside the fence at a playground saying, well, I didn't want to play right now anyway. Mr Magoo just hasn't a clue!!!
Well Senator McCain. I guess you will be giving that speech in 2016. You will be about 80 years old, and I do not think you will draw over 200,000 supporters.
Obama – 2009-2016
McCain spoke in Canada on June 20, 2008, maybe 50 suits showed up for it.
What about the speech McCain gave in Canada as a candidate for President?
"I would rather speak at a rally or a political gathering any place outside of the country after I am president of the United States," McCain told O'Donnell. "But that's a judgment that Sen. Obama and the American people will make."
"However, on June 20, McCain himself gave a speech in Canada - to the Economic Club of Canada - in which he applauded NAFTA's successes. An implicit message behind that speech was that Obama had been critical of the trade accord. Also, McCain's trip to Canada was paid for by the campaign."
McCain's advisors should be reminding him of these things, so that he doesn't make statements that are completely hypocritical.
I doubt Germany wants Old Man McSame to speak to them at all.
John, one correction...he is not the Democratic candidate YET...do not worry you will beat him in November. Dems only chance is to pick Hillary as Veep...and he won't do that.
...can you say "BIT-TER"? ..some sour grapes there...wow...
I wonder if McCain would attract a crowd as energised and excited as the one in Berlin ... or anyone else in the world.
No one's stopping you, McCain... You can go give a speech anywhere in the world you want... Stop hating...
Besides, that speech was one of the best ever, and it was not political at all... please give credit when due!
Really what about when he went to canda and gave a speech. What was he giving the speech as?
Whatever, you wish you were there.... CNN is this the best the news media can do for Johnny boy is to make him feel he's winning in the polls now. Want work. You guys tried, he will pick his vp, the surge the surge the surge but still Mccain hasn't came forward on no withdraw date. This poll was asked by a bunch of republicans.
Please,,, America want be fooled this time.
Obama. 08/2012
Eat your heart out..
PLEASE...HES JUST SAYING THAT BECAUSE HE WASNT ASKED TO GO THERE.
I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT A CHILDISH WHINER HE IS
ALL HE KNOWS HOW TO DO IS COMPLAIN
ALL HE TRIES TO DO IS MAKE OBAMA LOOK BAD TO MAKE HIMSELF LOOK GOOD.
IT WONT WORK YOU OLD FOOL.....YOUR A HAS BEEN AND WONT EVER BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
JEALOUSY IS SO UNBECOMING............
I think it is hilarious that he is going to a german restaurant. He is probably confused and thinks that Obama is there, not realizing the difference between a german restaurant and the country of germany. Oh well, i hope nobody clues him in,,,, let him continue his quest to follow obama, its nice that he finds ways to be happy.
MCBUSH WONT'S A CHANCE TO IN PERSON, MAKE PUTIN
THE PRESIDENT OF GERMANY, AS HE DID IN HIS TOWN
HALL MEETING, MORON.
Fortunately, he ain't going to get his wish.
This man is truly arrogant. If we really are a nation of whiners, then McCain is definitely the right choice for prez.
Obama is a joke, and he has made a circuis of his candidacy! People will continue to find out more about this clown and come November, McCain will win and the clown can go back to his home town! Obama has made a joke out of our Presidential election, and he will live to see the consequences! Go home clown, go home!
You can always tell when his people have written a decent line for him to repeat...
his delivery is worse than the postal service...
Yes, I'm sure McCain would rather give a speech anywhere after he is president, but I pray he will never have that chance.
I cannot imagine any thinking person who would choose McCain over Obama when it comes to the "Commander in Chief" role. John McCain has been in the pocket of the Military-Industrial Complex ever since he got out of the POW Camp in Vietnam. He would exactly emulate George W. Bush, as he did in the decision to invade Iraq. The test for a future Commander in Chief is not whether or not the surge was successful. The test should be in the judgment shown or betrayed in the decision to send our brave young men and women to their deaths or maiming in an unnecessary war, to say nothing about bankrupting this country to satisfy a Presidential whim on false pretexts; when the real reason was the obscure chance that we might benefit from Iraq's oil..
Now
Sour grapes! Too Funny!!!
i guess it mean he will never be in Germany to give a speech! OBAMA 08
McSame is falling apart before our eyes whatz happening to his left cheek?
NOT TO WORRY, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO GIVE THAT SPEECH AFTER ALL. IT'S SAD THAT MCNOTHING HAS NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT OUR NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE US. HE EVEN THINKS THAT THE SPEECH THAT WAS GIVEN WAS NOT WHAT THE PEOPLE OF GERMANY WANTED TO HEAR AND HE WOULD GIVE ONE THAT THEY WANTED TO HEAR. LET'S SEE HOW THAT SPEECH WOULD SOUND (CRICKET SOUND)
