While Obama is enjoying photo ops in the Middle East, who is addressing the problems back home? The Obama trip was supposed to be a fact finding mission. He can stand on the other end of a teleprompter, but he can't hold press conferences where he is asked more than one question at a time. Change has to come gradually with intelligence and humility. NO, I don't know the man personally but I know they did not support us after 911 and wanted us to do targeted attacks against afghanistan. Believe it or not in France he is considered a conservative. Does that tell you how far left the French are. After twenty years in the military and mulitiple tours in europe I can tell you they are not worth the money we waste on them in NATO. First of all, anyone looking at today's American economy has nothing to be envious about…yes, we have our freedoms, but just to let you in on a little secret…Europe does as well…and if a European citizan wants to start his or her own business, it doesn't cost the equivalent of $1500 a month just to pay for health insurance for their families. Many Americans don't have the same luxury and feel trapped in their jobs for this reason alone…unless, of course, they get laid off, which is happening more and more these days…something other country's envy, right?

Secondly, do the French really hate us because of our ability to succeed? I would think that they might dislike our current "we're better than you" mentality that finds its way into many nonsensical blog posts.
