John McCain was born to flip flop, he has done it 32 times since the middle of may and he reserves the right to flip flop more as the campaign goes on. BTW Barack's 16 mos timetable has not changed once since he began this campaign. Another lie out of mccain's mouth but hey we're used to that from him now.

IF I WAS MCCAIN I WOULDN'T CALL THE SURGE A SUCCESS AFTER 6 YEARS, MORE THEN 4,000 US SOLDIERS DEATHS, THOUSAND OF INNOCENT IRAQ DEATHS AND BILLIIONS OF US DOLLARS LATER. IFTHIS IS SUCCESS I WOULD HATE TO SEE A FAILURE.

I do believe it is you, Senator McLame, who steal every idea or takes credit for other peoples ideas - timetables, GI bill, gas prices and on and on. When you have an original thought from your head rather than have you swiftboaters pull your strings, let us know! OBAMA 08!

After visiting Iraq and seeing the vast improvements in the country, I don't understand why Obama won't admit he made an error in not supporting the troop surge in Iraq earlier. The lack of ability to admit a mistake, learn from it, and not repeat it sounds like the "never say you're wrong" policy of the current administration.

Barrack Hussein Obama has changed his positions more times than the wind changes directions in a day. He has pathetic judgment in all areas including national security and economic issues. He can't admit when he is wrong and if you look at his "Foreign Tour" he wants to be the world leader. Is he the "666" leader mentioned in the bible?

Obama is a piece of work. All any of us heard over and over and over and over during the primaries was him touting himself as not voting for the war - that was his claim to fame. Now both sides of mouth are moving again. How can you compare what Obama says for political expediency to John McCain's steadfast statements? Obama is not a leader - Obama is a wannabe.

I can't see where either candidate changed their positions on Iraq.

As far as I can see if you ignore all the media's attempt at over analysis Obama will bring the troops home within 16 months and McCain will keep them in Iraq until he gets some kind of undefined victory even if it takes a 100 years.

McCain New Ad Is Wrong and Very Distorted,

Senator Obama and I visited the combat support hospital in Baghdad to thank those nurses, those doctors, to see patients that were there, to bring a bit of greetings from home and profound thanks," he said. "That should be in the ad that Senator McCain is running.

In Baghdad, Senator Obama made a point, at the end of a very exhausting day, to go in and see these magnificent young Americans and those doctors and nurses that give such tremendous care - without a lot of fanfare, just to say 'Thanks.'

They went to Jalalabad to see the soldiers of the 173rd. They stopped in Basra to see our soldiers down there. They went into Anbar province to see soldiers there.

John McCain is a man of poor character. a tool used by the 59 lobbyist running his campaign. he has no substance, though to be fair he or his trainers i should say have one or two good ideas, however those ideas are shadowed by is temper, gaffes, flip flops, poor judgment and lack of factual knowledge. the GOP Spin- Gal-EEEE machine is working hard to make sure that their Manchurian Candidate steels the Whit House like McCain's BFF Bush...
how people can support a man with such questionable morals and sever displays of contempt is so beyond me. if McCain were less obsessed with Obama ( i could imagine Mccain having sweet dreams of Obama, calling his name instead of Cindy's in the night) and focused on what is important to America may be he would be effective. however, if i had a doller for every time Mccain mentioned Obamas name, i would be as rich as he.

McSenile just can't remember what his latest position is on the Iraq war, therefore it always seems to him like someone is changing.

His campaign reinforces this ridiculous notion, because Malaki and the Iraqi government support Obama's withdrawal plan in the next 16-24 months, now you've got McSenile shifting his position and trying to cover it up by screaming at the top of his lungs that Obama is changing.

Grandpa is losing it.

The media is in the bed with John McCain, not Barack Obama.
Katie Couric and CBS eliminated his gaffe from their interview
and replaced it with John McCain saying something negative
about Barack Obama. Then she wants to force Barack to say
the surge in Iraq is working. Katie, how about forcing John
McCain to say the war in Iraq was a mistake and based on
a lie. I will not be joining you for the evening news ever again!

I only see McCain is changing his position as he is agreeing to a timetable or at least talking about it. Not only he is changing his position but also Bush administration is changing because of Iraqi Government does not want to us be there beyond 2011. Obama always said that we should be careful getting out and not careless as we went in.

My Friend, McCain, please grow up and act like an adult... Tell us what you wanna do with Iraq, what your goals are for Iraq.. And then also tell us what your dreams and goals for America are... How we are going to create jobs here, get education, make life better for our seniors, veterans and disabled.. How are you going to rebuild America and make it the world leader.. what are your plans for making the $ strong again ?? seems like the oil companies are changing to EU$ for trade value...

Tell us you have some plans.... please give us a little hope

There he goes again. Either McCain doesn't listen or he doesn't read. Obama has always said that his time table does depend on conditions on the ground. He is not a black/white or either/or thinker like McCain. He is principled, unlike McCain, but realizes one always needs to be flexbile based on pertinent information

That image that McCain is a straight-talker is utterly a myth. It is time for people to see what McCain truly is a liar and distorter who doesn't listen to everything that anyone says. Moreoever, this week he did another flip-flop indicating the time table is acceptable after Bush and Malki followed Obama's statement on a sixteen month time table. Wake up America! This guy is not qualified to be commander-in-chief. He is weak, weak, weak!

Why does the Arizona Senator accuse Senator Obama of wrong judgment about the SURGE?

Does he want to divert attention from HIS OWN misjudgment of going to a non-justified war?

THIS war cost America's global credibility, America's global leadership, the low dollar and the high oil plus zillions of dollars in debt.

Who showed WRONG JUDGMENT in such a HUGE STRATEGIC decisons to go to an artificial war, Senator McCain?

McCain has never set a timetable for Iraq--and has never shifted position. Obama trying to accuse someone else of flip-flopping is laughable. BO is Mr flip-flop and forgets to flop when he should flip--lives and speaks for the moment and the audience. Even admitted he keeps hundreds of advisers around him all the time. I guess he will have to text message when that 3AM phone call comes through--" #1 will be Hillary and/or Bill.

People have to be very careful. John is trying to confuse everyone ( maybe it is his age too!). It is clear: republican= we will stay in iraq, democrat=we will leave. republican=economy stays the same (or worst), democrats=at least we will have hope of everything turns around and get little better. Everything else is just to confusing us.

So, Obama has been saying since he began his campaign that he wants to get troops out within 16 months from the time he takes office. He's at the same time has said since the beginning that although he wants troops out in 16 months he still needs to remove troops responsably.

Now, John McSurge said he didn't mind if troops were in Iraq for 5,10,15, 100 years. Then two weeks ago it was troops would be out and the budget balanced by the end of his first time. At the same time he has completely changed his views on off shore drilling (which in turn McCain has rose almost 1.2 million since he made that announcement).

Now McCain is saying 16 months too. And the media has the gull to report that Obama is the one shifting his views?

What is wrong with our media outlets? McCain goes on about the media not giving him attention. Well, thats a good thing for him in my view. If Obama made the gaffes McCain made the last 10 days his campaign would be over.

It's so nice to see that George Bush and John McCain are finally coming around to Barack Obama's way of thinking. McCain wanted to stay in Iraq for 100 years; now he's amenable to leaving in 16 months. Bush also speaks of the need for a "time horizon," after the Iraqis basically laughed in his face for trying to negotiate a long-term presence.

McCain never saw any need for more troops in Afghanistan until recently, while Obama's been saying it for a year.

Obama spoke of the need to speak to enemies such as Iran through diplomacy. First Bush and McCain derided him, but now Bush has sent people to Iran and is setting up a U.S. office.

Tell me again who the supposed expert on foreign policy is supposed to be.

Obama the speech reading flip flopper. The only reason McCain makes more mistakes than Obama is because McCain answers questions with the press and town hall meetings. Obama reads everything thats prepared for him and does not debate or answer questions, so he will be the messiah all of his sheep think he is.

OMG! I am so sick of McCaine, he his reaching, and scratching. He has shifted tremedously. He is almost forced to, because of Maliki's position but he almost makes you feel like he won't leave Iraq no matter what. When he was asked about the timetable, and Maliki's agreement, he hesitated too hard on that flip flop. Obama has not changed his position. Ten months will allow you to gage the actions on the ground. A "rigid withdrawal" would mean all troops come home at once. GOSH! McCaine needs a new campaign strategy, leave Obama out of his EVERY statement, 86 his off brand humor, and stop repeating himself. Let the media replay his good quotes. How many times does he think he has to say that "win a war thing"? We heard it the first time. Did he forget that he said it already.

McCain's rhetoric these last couple of weeks makes me feel very slimy and icky. I couldn't vote for someone who spends so much time trying to find some nasty way of twisting everything his opponent says or does in order to make him look bad. Every act is an act of self definition, and McCain is not defining himself as a person I would want in charge of my country. I would prefer someone who is focused on how to make the country and the world a better and safer place. I don't hear much of that from Senator McCain. I applaud Senator Obama for resisting attacking McCain despite all the opportunities he has had.

Senator McCain simply does not understand. McCain can not understand what Senator Obama is saying. McCain can not understand that Senator Obama is ready to be president. Senator McCain can not understand that Senator Obama has the experience to be president. Senator McCain can not understand how to use a computer. Senator McCain does not understand what the American people want in their president. Senator McCain does not understand that most of the people does not want him for their president. Mc Cain told Senator Obama he NEEDED to go to Iraq and to other countries, so he went. He was accepted by everyone. Now McCains camp is crying foul saying Senator Obama looked and acted to much like a president. President Obama '08
